Although ironically he was wearing a hoodie in a lot of those clips... Personally I think Gilles would still kick ass wearing a Gorilla suit, skills count a lot more than clothing.
-
Yeah black ones are fine, the white ones reflected a bit too much light up his arse for my liking. Anyway, epic riding, and the first bit really made me wish I was in Buthiers
-
Mat, I saw those white tights and had exactly the same reaction! I've not got a problem against riders using them, but holy cow those white ones just look terrible. Gave away far far too much information combined with those short shorts . Gilles is missing a woman in his life to point out these things. He wouldn't look out of place at a gay pride march, infact maybe he is gay... But dude, did you actually see how bad those white ones looked

Different aluminium alloys=different properties. Trialtechs are stiffer, I've used them back to back and the difference is noticeable especially doing fronthops. In my experience they are also stronger, and lasted 4 times longer than 2 sets of Zoo forks which both cracked on the disc mount after 6 weeks

Yeah definitely my favourite as well, good feeling to it, epic riding sections, beautiful throughout.

Well done, I could kill a cow with a spoon for my next meal but that doesn't mean its the best method

Thanks for the comments, and the helpful edit from a mod who put more effort into my post than I did Don't worry I'm getting older and slower by the day and will soon be reduced to hopping up curbs. Yes to using a V, and yes to loving it. I'm a V believer like Ali Glad to here that, I love it when vids introduce me to new bands

No he didn't at all, he was referring to my post. In England CBT means something else entirely, its a test you have to do to ride a motorbike
-
The description says wire bead and black chilli, which is wrong. Conti only make folding versions with black chili and the RRP is £50 not £30. So they will be the lower quality versions made in the far east with a crap compound.

Damn you guys are quick to reply I posted before I finished typing and had to re-edit! Those rocket tools on Tarty are perfect and make life a million times easier
-
Those are the WORST possible tools to use! You should use a hammer to pass on the shock, you will need a much larger force using a rubber mallet. And using a sharp steel tool to knock a thin and soft aluminium cup isn't wise. Just a round piece of tube or anything that isn't going to dig in like a screwdriver, old seatpost is ideal like Alex said.

Its hard to be sure from those pictures, but I don't think you've laced it wrong. Could be the spokes are for 4x instead of 3x? You could look up the dimensions of your hub and rim on tarty and whack them into a spoke calculator, then you can see what lengths you need for 3x, 4x etc and compare them to your spokes.

Wheels are too small

Dartmoor rocks are awesome, you would love them Kyle. Easily one of my favourite natural spots in England. There was a well attended national round held on Dartmoor in 05 or 06. It was at Hound Tor on the farmland I think, the other side of the road from the Tor

What is gay and homo about Andy's post? He was just asking about my comment and didn't say anything about the video? I'm not entirely sure on the point you were trying to make, but if you think I meant TGS was better than that riding style you are wrong. I hate repetitive videos, whatever the style. I just think its a shame to make something average when the riders obviously have skill. Its not really anything against them, as you have to practice moves to do them well. More a case of bad editing, not being able to pick which clips work and which don't
-
You are correct on both points

Oh My f**king God America... What The Hell Is Wrong With You?
Matt Burrows replied to aener's topic in Chit Chat
I really can't be bothered to get involved in this arguement, but I will say one thing. For someone who I have always considered to be an intelligent and decent person, the topic of religion seems to really get to you. You come across as a condescending, close-minded, ARSEHOLE everytime the topic comes up. Is there any chance you could argue your opinion with logic and reason without being so judgemental of those that may disagree? -
Lol there are much more talented street riders out there, I thought this guy was miles off Danny. Don't get me wrong its a good effort, but there was a definate lack of style and originality. CBT is the new TGS? I really hope not!
-
Your not wrong, I haven't improved much at all in the last 4 years! But then that vid did take over 6 months to film, this new one was just playing and only took 2-3hrs.
-
I'm fairly confident they aren't pashleys and are infact Identiti Tuning forks. Weigh them to make sure, Pashley should be 1kg max and Tuning forks are more like 1.2kg

Ta for the comments, yeah that camera is broadcast quality and costs about £4k, plus Steve knows how to use it properly which always helps!

Pretty much said it all! Easily the funniest trials vid I have ever seen, I was almost crying after some of the crashes. The last half was more like a comedy sketch than a trials video. Gilles looked like he was having a fit trying to control the bike at one point. All you could see was his body bouncing all over the place and the observers hand gradually counting more dabs As much as Gilles gets the results, Hermance is still my favourite rider. When he gets stuff right he has a much better style than Gilles. That surge he did in the warm up looked effortless. Maybe you should become a coach? I'm pretty sure even a Rain King is slippy when coated in thick wet mud

This is nothing too exciting, but thought it would be a shame not to share. Just a little vid Steve A made of me riding Worcester, filmed in 2 or 3 hours so the riding is pretty average. Steve just wanted some practice with his Z1 camera before making the Tartybikes vids. Looks awesome in full quality, but vimeo has raped it a bit unfortunately . Video Vimeo Video ->Original Video Also i've reuploaded my old vid of me on my Echo Pure, after youtube deleted the music Click Vimeo Video ->Original Video

V mounts Also really like the green, just a shame they don't make a stronger version with slightly less extreme geo...

I had a ride on it today, and was really impressed! Having a shorter wheelbase and slightly more upright position just seemed to make it easier to place the bike where you want. Made my short adamant feel very trialsy
