Great video as usual, I also noticed that your replaced your back tyre, minions are great but people say Dk is better? Maybe it does not fit on your sky?
Looked like great fun guys! I wish we had something like that here! Also saw some familiar faces from my school in lithuania, how come they were not included in the list?
That was powerful riding, got to love natural, but they just made a natural TGS, because there weren't almost any lines: him going up to front, him gapping to another rock, another to front, etc... Few contolled lines in the end though.
I agree - that was very interesting, especially about rolling. 200km/h for aquaplanning? I swear I ride faster that that with my 18-15 ratio Although prety much every MTB tyre is flipped around the other dirrection for trials use, I am talking about 26" tyres. This makes a big loss on the grip when braking while going forwards on both wheels, just because the threads are pointing the other direction. But it helps to grip the wall with the back wheel. There is loss of grip in anyway you put it, isn't it? So dont people use tyres that have sqare thread in 26" trials but it is very popular in 20"? Confused!
Where did you get that from? Both repliers said risers are better, so do I. I am using old Rage bars (08) and they feel great, whenever I try my friends' flats or low risers they feel uncomfortable.
Yes, we are still going. Should be a good ride even if it rains. If it rain a lot in the beggining we'll just ride at the closed place with round rocks that you can move around and some walls. Tel to contact 07933848360 Thanks, Ed
It is not just the ratios, you also need to consider crank lengh, it would feel different not just "power" wise . I know few people who have 165mm with 18-18t or 18-17t or 18-16 with 175s and 170s. At the moment I am running 18-15 with 170 and that feels a bit hard, especialy on the rocks! So I wil go for 17-15 soon I know more old sch riders who run 1:1 ratios than anyone else.
There are a lot of frames that have the same problem, i.e my old LE had 2-3mm on each side with 128mm BB and try-all cranks, and same with my new Yaabaa stinger 2-3mm. I think prety much all the cranks have the same offset, but you could give tarty a call and find out. If the cranks you are taling about are healthy, tappers woud still not last to long as every time you tighten them up would reduce the distance. Although it might last you until you get ISIS BB and cranks that would not move into BB as much.
