  1. Hiya, Just wondering if anyone knew if a HS33 lever with HS11 pistons would be any good. I know they are compatible with each other but would I lose any power? Any advice would be brilliant. Cheers, John
  2. Hi guys, I recently got a 2006 Magura. I tried to bleed it today after shortening the hose and have had no end of problems. I've been bleeding my own brakes for about 4 years without any problems. However, this one has been a nightmare. I can get it so no water is leaking out before I put the bolts in yet when I pull the lever the goes straight to the bar! The is no air in the syringe either. I've even checked the Magura manual which suggests Im doing it correctly. To top things off I knicked the hose when I was removing the brake to check it, so it's now useless anyway. Please help! P.S. If anyone from Tarty bikes reads this would you be able to sell me a new brake ready-bled with a hose already shortened???
  3. Right little question. I'm confused about the whole drivetrain system on a bmx. I went to buy a profile chainring t'other day, and he started talking about gearing on the back. So is it the same as ratios on a trials bikes. Any recomendations? Also are the threads for pedals the same on both types of bikes. Cheers Edit: Oops didn't realise i was on my bro's account. It's actually yoyoyo.
  4. Hiya, we'll be at Lloyds for 11am, but if anyone wants to meet somewhere else then let me know. My numbers 07857582589 Cheers, John
  5. Hiya, just wondering if anyone was up for a ride on Friday. 3 of us from Bridgwater are going and hopefully a few others. Thought it be nice to get a ride in before everyone goes back to school/college/uni. We'll be starting to ride at about 10.30 Let me know by PM or post on here if your interested.
  6. Hiya, just to let everyone know me and the other guys will still be coming down, regardless of the weather. Its supposed to be sunny spells, but I'll be bringing my anorak just in case
  7. Wicked! I thought it was only gonna be a couple of people riding, but sounds like the could be a few now! Where's best for everyone to meet? Cheers, john
  8. Hiya, just wondering if anyone wanted to come riding in Bristol on Thursday? It will only be me and my brother for the moment, but it would be cool if anyone else wanted to come! We're starting riding at 12PM and will be meeting at the mini Lloyds building in the middle of Bristol, although if people want to meet somewhere else that would be fine. Cheers, John

    T-rex

    My t-rex
  10. I went from a 02 Saracen MAD (silly short) to a T-rex (1085ish). I thought it would be like riding a train but it is actually more flickable and controlled. Manuals are easy and sidehops and ups are much much easier. Im only 6ft and it doesn't feel too long at all. The's only 2cm difference between the two sizes so will it really make that much difference!
  11. Riiiiight. Somethings probably bent then! Does anyone know what the wheelbase should be on a Saracen MAD 2002? Cheers
  12. Hiya, ive tried to measure the wheelbase on my 2002 MAD and if im doing it correctly then its about 1050mm, which blatantly isn't right as its shorter than your average garden worm. :turned: Anyway, if someone could point me in the right direction as I would like to buy a new frame but need to know roughly how much longer any potential frame is gong to be. Cheers, John
  13. Hi guys, ive seen a Grossman frame going cheap on e-bay. I was just wondering if they are worth buying or should I give it a miss. The chainstays dont seem very short and the overall length sounds pretty short. Any comments woul be appreciated. Cheers, John
  14. I would be interested in buying a frame only. It seems the is a lot of interest in frames, not in the bikes. Maybe Saracen have missed out there!
  15. I live in Bridgwater so id be interested. I didn't realise that the were trials riders in Taunton! Every time Ive been the's only ever been BMX'ers. Cheers, John
  16. Yes I have been hiding. But im back with a vengeance on my Sarcen MAD 2002. Well, I say vengeance...its quite hard to ride a bike where the BB touches the floor.... :">
  17. I know what you mean. I think you get a more direct feel from a vee, as your input seems to have more of an effect. Also, i found that with a disc the spokes seem to flex a bit more.
  18. Poo but does the job
