  1. Hope to go to the final round. Any idea what sort of skill level you would need to be at for Intermediate? I would hope im not beginner.......
  2. Thats pretty smart. Didn't like the white rims at first glance, but they do actually go well with the silver. Nice job
  3. Hi, This is just a short video of me and my brother riding. Nothing special im afraid, just looking for feedback on the video (angles, lighting etc) rather than the riding. We've both just got the bikes last week, so getting used to them. Will have a proper video with DECENT riding and loads of other riders in at some point in the next month or two Note for non-metal fans: Don't turn the volume up too loud LINK: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=V48vwq85MwM
  4. Awesome move! You sponsored yet?
  5. Don't know the figures im afraid. Don't be put off by the head angle though, it only takes 10 mins to get use to it!
  6. I did think about curved forks, but with the slack head angle they would have made it even more noticeable. Will be out in Bristol on Monday if anyone wants to meet up?
  7. Yeah, it's the long version. Doesn't feel too long though, due to the head angle.
  8. Thanks for all the positive comments guys. If anyone is thinking about getting one of these then do! Fantastic to ride and also got it at a silly price from Tarty as well!
  9. Hi, This is a replacement for my bike that was stolen. Im really happy with it and it rides luuuuuverly. Big thanks to Adam at Tartybikes for sorting it out for me. Let me know what you think Spec is: KOT frame and forks CK ISO rear hub on 24 bicycles rim Echo disk hub on Try-all rim Try-all tires Middleburn cranks with 22t chain ring CK king kog 17t Rear magura with Rock green pads XTR front with clear Rock pads FSA headset Echo bar and stem ODI Ruffian grips Rohloff tensioner Echo chain Trialtech pedals Weight: approx 24lbs (was hoping it would be a bit lighter!).
  10. Sorry if this is a re-post, but look at this: http://www.monty.es/news/index.asp?news_id=665 I didn't realise he was gay...... On a more serious note it's good publicity for trials though, good on him. It's a shame everyone in the world will now think we're all raving homosexuals.
  11. MAGIC! either that or he has a brother with very quick reactions. ie let go and grab again before it falls over.
  12. Yeah, im going. Anyone want to meet up, as it's only me and my brother going (Bob Fossil)?
  13. You've done a good job there bro. He let me have a go on it earlier and it was very nice to ride. It looks 10 times better in the flesh (so to speak) though!
  14. Ahhhh memories....... I used to think the riding in this and Evolve was insane when they first came out. Wish trials had stayed more like that. Ryan Leech's manuals were awesome. Anyone know where you can watch Contact?
  15. The slow motion made his riding look poor! Made him look like an average rider when he's not.
  16. Nice bike mate. I had a Mark 1 Zebdi up until about a year ago. Excellent frame, you can do EVERYTHING on them. Rather than the 1080mm + frames which are good for TGS but not manuals etc. I would say stick with it. I did have a Planet X alibongo (got stolen) which I was actually no better on despite the 'updated' geometery! Short frames are the future!!!!!!!
  17. This is a short video from yesterday. Featured riders are: James Porter, Rowan Johns and Mike Singelton. Sorry if it's not very good, but im just trying to get the hang of making videos at the moment. Some very good riding, but i've left out a quite a bit as it should be appearing in Ben Rowlands video/s Also, the clip of Rowan at the end is cut short as he is trying to perfect an awesome move, so it's just there as a sort of teaser. Enjoy! P.S. turn the volume up as it's pretty quiet for some reason?!?
  18. I've now re-done the video. It's got different music and i've removed some clips and shortened others. Please let me know if you think it's an improvement! Cheers, John
  19. Hi, This is my first video, so sorry about some of the dodgy camera work. Featured riders are: Nick Goddard, John Shrewsbury, Ben Rowlands, Rich Pearson, Rowan Johns, Dan Ko and a few others I don't know the name of im afraid. Some good riding in it. but the are some brilliant clips i've left out as they should be appearing in other riders videos at some point (pics at end of vid will give you an idea!) Hope you like it, please let me know what you think. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Q96uT15volk RE-EDITED!
  20. Hi, Found this on youtube. Not sure if it's been posted before, couldn't see it.
  21. Good video. Some big gaps in there! Nice looking bike as well.
  22. Hi, Thanks for the positive comments. I'll be out in Bristol on it on Saturday, if anyone is thinking about coming down. Cheers, John
  23. Hi, Just started riding again after back problems that have stopped me riding for the last 2 years. Please let me know what you think of my planet x. Spec is as follows: CK rear hub on Onza rim, Hope XC front on X517, Middleburns, Raceface stem, Easton bars, Rear mag with plazmatics, Front XTR vee with Rock pads (feckin awesome!), Rohloff tensioner, CK king cog 17t Panaracer Fire XC front tire, El gato rear, Ashton forks, Maybe a bit of an old fashioned set-up, but it does ride well.
  24. Sorry to sound old, but I remember when a short bike was something like an orange zero and a 1065 Koxx was like riding a train! If you're after a short, but rideable frame go for the Leeson Clear 660 with a longish stem and flat bars. A friend had a set up like that and it was one of the best bikes i've ever ridden. They also have the benefit of being very light with the right set-up. Hope that helps.
