Hiiii! You're right as to how people say for newbies to get a second hand bike, the reasons behind this are pretty simple; chances are that you'll get more for your money for a start, more times than not, a second hand bike will have modified parts, generally to make the bike stronger / lighter / whatever the reason. Also, with a second hand bike you can expect a few minor dents and scratches here and there, these are to obviously be expected and you'll add to them when practising, don't forget that a good ol' paint job can improve the look of the bike! Through browsing the 'For - Sale' sub-forum it's apparent that alot of the full bikes for sale at the moment aren't really budget-breaking and you can generally pick up a good deal if buying from another member on here, don't forget that you can haggle prices aswell! To buy within the forum you must first wait until you are validated, however, if you see a bike you like the look of and feel it's what you want then contact outside the forum can be made with the seller, although this is not recommended as recently the forum has seen an uproar in 'scammers' topics. If you are going to purchase any goods for sale on the forum, outside of the forum it's a good idea to ensure you have a working mobile / house phone number of the seller and an address! Ebay is a fab place for picking up a cheap bike! If you're buying from Ebay ensure that you read the topic's description carefully to make sure it's what you want! I'd also recommend carefully examining any pictures taken close-up for any cracks and such on the bike, as these pose potential danger and could result in parts snapping and you falling injured! As well as Ebay, I've found a few cheap bikes on Gumtree, an advertising website. Onza's are fab starting bikes! The price of an Onza is generally the factor that pushes a newbie towards buying one, although you may want to consider breaking your budget a tad and drifting towards buying a Monty, or the Yaabaa 499. Don't forget that after the purchase of the whole bike you can upgrade all parts to whatever it is that tickles your pickle! You say you've ridden an Onza Rip? Good on you for trying before buying! Have you tried any other bikes? If not, it's probably best to try a few other bikes as the geometry on a bike can change the way you feel when performing any trick / stunt / move, so on and so forth! The geometry of a bike can affect your performance when riding aswell, and so it's vital that you pick the right bike to ensure you progress at a speed you feel comfortable with!

Popped into Morrisons today to pick up something for mine and Daniel's tea; on the way out I noticed that outside the inside pharmacy was a sign clearly stating the Swine Flu symptoms and below it stating in bold capitals - "DO NOT ENTER THE PHARMACY IF YOU ARE SHOWING ANY OF THESE SYMPTOMS." I just carried on walking with a bag of salmon, veg and ice cream, and thought "Oh, so it doesn't matter if I pass my Swine Flu to all Morrison's customers and staff, so long as I don't transfer Swine Flu to all people working in a 15ft by 20ft pharmacy? Hmm..."
