Mark, I live within about 10 miles, riding wise its 'ok'.
I always think its alot different to everywhere else, because the whole place is only 35 years old, in the centre of MK everything is the same really, marble blocks cover a lot of the area. Theres the bus station, which has two ledges about bar height and the 'bin gap', also a street skatepark thing, but thats pretty poor.
I don't actually go there that often, only been there riding 4/5 times, its ok, theres many areas that I've not ridden, a few friendly locals, and its close to bedford/luton, and theres riders there.
Theres also local towns (MK was built basically on these towns, so there very close) Bletchly is meant to be ok.
Check out the Fluid23 Video with Edd + Matt Tongue in, that was all filmed there, and also Fluid23 Vids 1 & 2. Bits of the new glasseye DVD seem to have been filed there (where Tim P manuals a rail, and the Phil Feeney clip with the crank flip, thats the bus station.
I wouldn't say It was amazing, but it has good transport links to london/oxford etc.
Locals who live there will have a much better idea than me, I'm sure Steve or somebody who know it well will be able to tell you more.
The BMX side of things im not sure about, there plenty of dirty street I suppose, but it all looks the same to be (marble ledges) and I'm not sure about skateparks, there was talk of one being built in the centre of MK, dunno if it ever happened, there was Radlands in Northhampton, not 100% on it still being open..
Hope to see you soon....
