My magura is bled with water, I think it was you who reckoned it felt nice? :huh: I take my magura to bits, clean the piston/lever with WD40, flush the hoses through with it, re-assemple, flush with water and then bleed. Most of the inside of a magura is plastic anyway so I wouldn't have thought it would do any harm, mine seems fine anyway.

On my plaz I used to scrub them really hard wth a good brush and some water with fairy liquid in, if its really stubbon, use a flat clean file, then clean again with water.

Back to the topic, I ride shit street on a 24" bike, with a ground rim (pretty old now) and a magura, and I run the new kool-stops that come as standard on most onza's etc, there not bad, mine hold without tar, loads of modulation for manuals, can add a dab of tar in the summer for a bit of extra bite, and the best bit is loads of people upgrade from them, so you can get them easily for pennies, mine were £2. They seem to be lasting ok as well.

10am!? I'm getting up at 6am as it is to get there. We (and a fair few other people I'd imagain) are getting there at around 11 (I'm 11.15) and I've never ridden bristol before either.. Will everybody still be at the temple meads around 11.15 ish?
