  1. It depends on the pedals, but i supose the main question is why would you want to?
  2. I had this when I was first learning pedal kicks. I found a couple of things helped, the main was getting some brakes that I felt confident would hold me. What I feel is important to say is, the better you get, the worse the brakes you can use, so once you learn to kick onto the back wheel smoothly you tend to find that you will often put the brake on once you have actually stopped rather than to stop you. What you have to realise is that on small stuff if you require a powerful brake then you are doing it wrong. basically keep practicing and you will start to see that you actually only need one finger.
  3. how much of a beginner are you? can you bunnyhop over wheel height, pedal kick, back hop, endo, pivot, sidehop, drop higher than 2', etc...? If the majority or the answers you would give are no, then it really does not matter what bike you are on, you could learn them on a road bike. If you have got to a level where you are starting to develop a bit of style then the zoot and the echo are for very different riders and very different styles, though as ali said, learning on the zoot would make you a better all rounder
  4. I'm a dick in real life and on here. And who cares how the thread started, this is way more fun.
  5. If you want ultra grip then go for a set of gusset prosecutors...but that is really something I dont recommend. V12s or wellgo V12 copies are the best pedals on the market i find.

cheers dude. admittedly that is what happens when you don't ride with someone for over a year, in fact i think when i last rode with you my pedal was still in tact
  7. Can only put on a two bolt because the lower bolts on the mounts are too wide, and i tried this, the problem is the v mounts are so much lower than the top maggie mounts
  8. Grinding is easy but i think people do have a tendency to grind their rims way too often. I mean the people saying a grind last about 4 weeks are your pads made of sandpaper and your rims of cheese or something. I ride everyday and I find a grind tends to last me at least 3 months before i notice any difference at all, and even then the grind is still good to use for another month or so before the hold really starts to go. I also find that if your pads have bedded in while your grind was good a dead grind is still fine unless you are really pushing your limits.
  9. haha also this is what you need: erm, ah, erm...I mean this:
  10. Any pad works fine up to a certain point. The problem comes when you start trying to do bigger stuff and need a very good bite and hold to stop you from slipping out.

I found the best way is to just keep using the same tyre for 2 years. worked for me!

    V Pads

link. anyone tried these? if so what they like on a grind?
  14. Hey guys, I have a revell trials frame and I was fed up of having to use a disc on it so I got some magura mounts and v brake mounts brazed on (brazed not welded to avoid affecting the strength of the metal). The brakes work fine but the seatstays flex out quite a bit, this does not affect my riding but i was wondering is it likely to damage the frame as the tubes are quite thin? do I need to run a booster to protect the frame?
  15. Try and get your hands on a 74 kingz or make a spring tensioner. Or just try hard not to bash it!
  16. got the same thing ali, i also have no power of grip with that finger now (my small finger rather than middle). I've had this before, I would say give it a week or so rest and if it is still playing up go to the doctor
  17. DMRs are not even good for normal mtb street let alone trials, all they are good for is dirt because they all have uber long chainstays and low bbs. as for the ashton, are you sure your wheel isnt dished wrongly? and what headset are you using? (also hangers do have a habit of snapping if you hit them, it is kind of what they are designed to do)
  18. Yeah night shoots are great for artistic affect. Chai and I actually got some great shots a little while ago link.
  19. reflector as chain tensioner drilled a hole through a frame and seatpost and stuck a bolt through to a act as a seat clamp run only one of my 4 bolts in the frame and the rest using nuts there are various other ones but these are my favourites.
