  1. Thought you only wanted new! Seriously get the RIP or the bird, either will be good ot learn on.
  2. The jump bike actually has longer chainstays and a slacker head angle, but you are right about the lower bb. Also the head angle has nothing to do with the length of fork going to be used, only how sharp the steering should be, a jump bike headangle is usually a 69 degree and trials are 72 degree.
  3. I could never tell that you would even notice the flex the other day!
  4. All rotors work the same, just some dissipate heat better than others, quad are about the same quality as avid so yeah it will be fine and the rotor looks like it will cool quickly. Try it!
  5. He made the first production MOD as far as I know, I think people had been modding bikes for a trials purpose long before that!
  6. So, what time is everyone turning up then? I know Jack said ten, but nobody ever turns up on time!
  7. Wrong! They are both now built with trials in mind, when they got the name stocks were just standard mountain bikes, as in you could hit the trails and then do some trials as bikes used to be true all-rounders. Mods were not so much built from scratch with trials in mind, but modified from existing bikes such as bmx's.
  8. Yes and know. You can have a seat but you won't be able to get it up as high as you can on most mtb's.
  9. I lost your number joel can you PM me or text me, cheers! P.S. Jack did you get that adapter yet?
  10. Between the shell centre and the london eye, might not come at all now as there is the ride next week and I promised to help my friend out.
  11. Broken frames: X2 (almost on a third) Broken hubs: X3 Broken pedals: 1 snapped pedal body, many with ruined cups Broken chains: many Edit: Forgot there was a freewheel that exploded as well
  12. Already have a gusset rotor, just doing this for fun. I was already going to curve all the edges of the points, just am waiting until I get a new program off my friend before I finalise designs, this is just a quick knock up.
  13. How do you mean, what should I change?
  14. As I said I am bored and I am making designing some stuff that I may make.
  15. A CAD program, why?
  16. I am bored so I have started to design some stuff that I may or may not make, at the moment I am thinking of making a tensioner, disc rotor and maggie lever. Other suggestions are welcomed. Any way I have some initial designs of the rotors and I want opions and suggestions:
  17. As far as I know the major advantage of ceramic bearings is that they last longer in extreme weather conditions so are very good for mountain bikes. Apart from that they are pretty similar so it is pointless getting them for a trials bike, especially at the extra cost.
  18. Just keep moving to different spots to keep it on. You should be able to fit it fine as long as the bead is not properly broken!
  19. Chai said that Tarty should be selling them now aswell!
  20. Switch with you Tis the way forward!
  21. Is everyone still in if it rains bad? I don't mind just a waste of my time if no one else is riding.
  22. 12 at shell if anyone else is coming.
