  1. er.. "Scanning Specialist" is my title. Prep, scan, check and upload documents onto our server. This aparantly is my job description but it tends to involve more than that mostly solving problems caused by idiots being paid more than me but with the computer skills of a newt. I work for DSTL who are part of the MOD http://www.dstl.gov.uk/ So i'm a civil servant and most of the documents that pass through me and my collegues aren't to be seen by mere mortals! (Y) Secret shit and the like. Its ok, not great pay but friendly people, relaxed atmosphere and flexi time. Plus I get to read lots of interesting stuff that I can't tell people about. Dan btb some of you guys have some pretty cool jobs lotsa £££ too!
  2. I don't very often reply to videos cos i'm an ungrateful sod but that was absolutely awsome. The riding was good and the locations looked superb but the filming & editing was just brilliant. Prob best I have seen in a long time if not ever. Thanks (Y) Dan
  3. Looks like a vector and as stated done with a tablet. Thats a very very good bit of photoshopping. He has some serious art skills. Dan
  4. They usally work by putting the picture and sound through whichever scart sockets got the power. So if the xbox is on it will go with that and if the cables on it will go with that. Careful with switchboxes and the like as a lot of them are uttershite. I tried a few from dixons and got so much ghosting i ended up just putting up with switching them manually till i got my new tv (with more scarts) Dan
  5. Man thats superb. What did you make that in and how long did it take? I would be happy to ride there! Dan

No We spent ages trying to make insane creatures that walked around and stuff. You can make the rods move like muscles and make them move around the screen. Dan
  7. Im afraid i have no idea it was me mums friends son. I think it was a site that was up for a week took a load of money then cleared out. Try and stick with known companys and you should be fine. Dan

  9. Thats some serious delays! Fair play for coming down! Thanks to Andy obviously for the organising it was awsome. Thanks to Mitch's dad with all the tools, without him most of the sections would have been too dangerous. Plus him and Mitch did the big blue box section (2). Apologies too everyone who got angry at section 3 (with the trailer full of straw/hay and tyres. That would be my fault :D :)". Thanks to everyone who helped observe and build. Im a bit burnt (looking like a panda now) Dan (I observed section 2 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon) wearing a black bunny t-shirt and my oakleys.
  10. When me and a few mates went to New York we went American Airlines. Surprisingly they were the cheapest at the time. Try http://www.expedia.co.uk aparently they are very good. Just be careful with "bargain" flights someone i know got conned out of about £600 on flights to America. Pay a little more to know your going to actually be boarding! hope thats some use. Dan
  11. Get well soon dude. Back on the bike! Dan
  12. YES YES YES Clarkson is a genius. He is runing out of metaphors slowly but is still funny and still seems to get a real thrill from doing things that i'm sure most of us would absolutly love to do. Dan
  13. disclaimer: IM NOT HAVING A GO - this is my opinion (if you dont like it tell me, dont swear or insult me ok) I'm pretty sure you have to be a smooth & safe driver to pass your test. If you jerky gear change, brake really hard and late or accelerate far too quickly you will get failed. Fair enough you learn't an advanced technique for driving quickly. BUT I would have thought if your driving sensibly on the road you will be able to change gear smoothly with-out a need to blip the throttle. I have got into a habbit on the down change of blipping to match the revs, i don't remember why I started and I cant stop myself now also I know its probably not the best way of doing it i just brake clutch blip clutch and continue to brake or accelerate no rolling the foot just a blip to even the revs up. It makes downchanges smoother but im sure it would be rubbish on a track or if I was driving really quickly and if i was a bit slower into corners I wouldnt need it at all. Your new so you are not going to have the ability of someone who has had years of experiance driving on the roads. FACT. I am not doubting your car control or your ability to double de clutch (no idea how you even do that) or your heel toe stuff just you actual road experiance. In my opinion good driving is awareness and car control in equal measure. Smoothness should be a by product of control. I think thats all I have to say. mmm essay Dan
  14. You wil probably find all the images in that email and many many more here http://www.b3ta.com/challenge/advertisement/ Dan
  15. Rich that looks minty. If the rear disk is anything like it used to be on the old frame it will be awsome. There is a strange feeling with rear disks but the avid used to bite so damn hard it just didn't matter. hope it lasts out :- Dan
