  1. Mine did this just before i ripped the bolt in half. Mine was because something had rusted to the fork and wasn't allowing the doctor to do it's job. Sounds like thats whats happened with yours. To get the piece out (probably rusted like mine) your best bet is using a hammer and a long screwdriver. Go in from the bottom with the forks upside down and beat it out, try loosening it with some WD40/GT85 sprayed down there and left for an hour or so. May help. Mine did happen a few years ago now though so there may be a better way of getting it out or a different design thats restricting it. Dan
  2. 100% serious "Have you read any good books lately?" Dan

  4. skid mark.... nasty but highly original 8/10
  5. It's almost become part of the forum. Avatars are usually what people see, at least I tend to see avatar before username, obm needs his birds because it's his identity. The rest of us can just chop and change when we like...... Dan
  6. I think TVR made only 1 Speed 12 legal for the road by dropping a bit of power as I think it was intended for racing. This was then driven home by the CEO/MD at the time and when he returned the next day they stopped to rethink its production. Basic problem other than being uncomfortable and hard to drive slowly was that even from tic over in top gear (5th i think at the time) it would wheelspin if you pushed the throttle hard and 1st and 2nd were almost impossible to pull away in. They attached it to a machine that should be capable of measuring like 1000 lbft of torque and it snapped the machines drive shaft. This is all from memory like 2 years ago though so it could be wrong. Dan
  7. Small block V8 Power makes me horny Mmmmm low rev torque. The Veyron is something VW did to prove they could, developments they made during design and production of this car will be filtered down to all their other cars. Safety/Materials/Techniques for making parts everything that they did to make this car has helped in someway the development of future projects. Dan
  8. It's a beautiful car. It really is an engineering masterpiece. The F1 car debate. I think it has the same or better acceleration up to the F1 cars limit but 0-60 I suspect it would be a half second or so off pace. Unfortunatly any hint of a corner and by comparison to an F1 car it might as well be a fiesta. The whole 1000bhp issue is strange. As Derf said it has 1001ps and so 987bhp. Thing is all engines have a tollerance level. In a 1.4l polo this is almost nothing. In an 8.0l quad turbo the possible differences can be + - around 50BHP thats a whole small car. What Bugatti did is make all the engines minimum possible output 987ps this means you can possible get one with 1037Bhp which is rather cool. Also I agree with most of what Alexx said weight issues and stuff ruin track performance. Aparently its extremely easy to drive though for a car like that. Dan
  9. If you saved it as a gif it would probably be smaller in size and wont have those bloby smudged bits. Also it's a nice tree. Dan
  10. Yay some of my Pics. I'm so proud. :P You know Dave it's all about the subject with you. :P (also you spelt my name wrong) Also a slightly more managable size... For simplicities sake and because there are already enough pics on this page. My Favourite pics tend to end up on my Flickr page..... http://www.flickr.com/photos/dancampbell/ just have a look around that if your interested. Dan
  11. seen it before but still amazing Dan *what did I tell you!*
  12. Bah you lot with your damn trials bikes to start out on. First bike I rode trials on. Giant Box 2 Full sus (mine didnt have triple clamps). Thin flat bars, quill stem, 18", second ring was my bashguard and I had maguras put on it. Dan
  13. He's far from 14, that was on Clarksons motorworld about 5 years ago and when that was aired the guy was about 40-50. Would be an awesome job though. Dan

    Xbox 360

I'm rather jealous. I would suggest that as you have it so much earlier than normal people. You might have to wait to get the correct software. Microsoft arn't likely to be releasing it in their updates for a few more weeks I wouldn't have thought. Incidently, whats it like? Dan
  16. The shot is slighly adjusted in Photoshop, it does highlight your muscles a lot, though that wasn't the intention, honest. Nick "prawn" Vaughn on the silver rex. Thanks for the comment, the wall frames the landscape quite well. Dan
  17. Loved it Rich, like a bit of natty and surpisingly for a natural vid the heavier music went well. Liked the intro too. Just one thing.... Helmet! Dan
  18. But there's nothing when remote linking, which was the reason I did it in the first place. They are way too big but i'm just too lazy to change them now. It wasn't aimed specifically at you, just a general comment. Dan edit: Dave is the rider in my pic. He is on an Adamant now, from Tartybikes.
  19. I just add it for the flickr stuff. If you want the original for any reason just ask me/add me to msn. Dan
  20. Some nice shots, none of me.  . I managed one good (ish) shot from the ride, camera battery died early on. Hope you like. Dan nb. I'm not sure what flickr does with remote links, if it doesnt work. Just have a look at my album.
  21. Nice vid Freddo. I missed some of your riding at JJB I think I was trying to get up that wall with Prawn. Nice editing. The intro bit worked out well shame you didn't wait till everyone had gone. Dan
  22. No worrys Dave it was a pleasure   I particularly like the tan line from the sleeveless tops! Dan
  23. If you have watched Top Gear and like it, get as many Jeremy Clarkson books as possible all are very very funny. Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown is what i'm reading at the moment. It is very very good. Robert Ludlum, writer of the Bourne series that they made into movies ie Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy is very good. One of my favourite authors. Michael Crichton who wrote Jurassic Park and the Lost World is good and those two books I especially enjoyed. You should enjoy them if you watched the films. Most riders enjoy Lance Armstrong books. His autobiography "its not about the bike" is an amazing read some real insiring stuff. Hope that gives you some ideas. Dan
  24. Dave Brilliant video, been waiting for a while for this. Great riding, the day in Poole was great fun. Oh and although its taken me long enough I did the Action Dave Picture I was on about in Poole. Didn't turn out precisely how I wanted but I don't think it's too bad. Dan
