Heatsink Coust - Smooth Rim
James Shields replied to ginger allen echo's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
YESS finally, a topic im interested in lol. i used to run my coust cnc on grind they were ok but nothing major, since then i have bought smooth echo 07 (urbans rims) in black and at first they were stupidly good, absolutely awesome in the dry, no need for tar! but for some reason they have seemed to lost ALL bite even though all they have done is sat in garage, i have brushed a grinder along them to completely clean them but they are still loosing bite. other than this unknown error they are quality pads ! highly recommended i think ill be changin back to a nice harsh grind if this persists. james. -
yess wintonz gettin handy with the new cam aren'tcha havent met you yet dan but will sum time soon, mint vid liked it a lot . shieldsy XXXXXXX

surprisingly i like that mate, well done nice and simple nothing to flashy james x
-
yea but if water goes on my rim im screwed, its smooth. lol gets you out of the best things, even if it a tiny tin bit wet.
-
Ok, slightly expensive but have you thought to try cnc coust?. i ran them on a gridn and they were nothing special infact quite dull, i have recently gone smooth rim (anodized) and oh my lord, the rear brake bites like a bitch they offer sooo much lock and power, DRY WEATHER ONLY, slightest bit of water and the brakes finished till its dry. Really recommend these pads, james.

Wintonz u sexy man, will have to ride soon, loved your vid well done matey, but of cors ill obvs be better shieldzy XX

looks sweet, if i ever go MOD again, thats the one for me i love that, nice and simple, very effective.

Interesting bike you have there, in my opinion im not keen on the front tyre or few other things, but if you like it then that's all that matters. Never really liked the pitbull 07 frames but i think i would consider it.
-
Nice one wintons, looks lush n rides lush. Northallerton in the wet was the best, because your brakes OBVIOUSLY worked lol. see you soon on next ride hopefully - shieldzy x
-
i would recognise that pitbull anywhere. i have rode that was actually not to bad. ride it well :D nice pics, who cares about age, im 15, im rubbish but i always have a laugh, all that counts right ? james.
-
I usually always wear one, especially on a big ride, somewhere like leeds because lots of other riders use them. just maybe me but i feel like im CLS once iv got one on. Well, one view is that helmets weren't made to look pretty stapped to your bag they are there for a reason . . james.

Have you heard of heatsink pads? i would reccomend these if you have the money, i don't think the cnc backings offer any improvement in performance however look pimp:P I used their heatsink coustillier pads on a medium grind they were awesome, i also ran a 4 bolt ZOO! booster, they had good bite, loud sound, very good hold. They are a bit pricey for pads i think but i would say definately well worth the money lol. Also i've used the reds they are ace. If you fancy a 'street' pad that are very loud and offer super bite i found that 'phat pads' are excellent. james.

Nice bike mat, looks so nice! Just want to know though, what pads you using, because im getting smooth rims (echo) and atm have the choice of zoo pads or cnc coust for the rear, and cnc plazmatic crv for the front. any recommendations ? james
