I work in the sun, you don't have that problem up north. It's meant to be 34 degrees here on Wednesday so you're gonna need a bigger chart.

Yes you'll need a helmet to ride.

I'll be there doing various stunts.
  4. I've been round there a few times, being a trials rider I was just looking out for walls and rails while driving, first impression's not great but there might be some bits hidden away, other than that it doesn't look like a brilliant place to ride. Wellington rocks are cool but but it depends what you're into, rocks aren't my thing.
  5. I probably won't ever use a rim brake again, but if I did.....basically an '04, best comfort, strength, power, quality. My Racing line caused way too much leverage/flex and the pivot point felt too far from the bars, felt like I needed 9 inch fingers, so I adjusted it in but that made the hooked end more mellow and my finger would slip off now and then. They seem well made but it's quite an extreme end of the scale. Never minded the feel of the '05 but they were too flimsy. I won't talk about the 2011 and 2014 Magura levers because they're shit in every possible way.
  6. Middleburns were out in the 90's but the old ones were useless for trials, RS7's I think were '98 or '99, definitely before 2000, they were the first great crank, agreed.
  7. I've said it a thousand times, but using a skinny mount like that on a trials bike, especially with a Saint is just asking for trouble.
  8. We got our Maguras in about 97/98, and the red kool stop pads definitely made them better than any of the V brakes back then, there were no soft v pads and no one was grinding rims, we were barely using tar by then! Discs weren't good enough for trials, plus people have been using Maguras for a good 18-20 years now (despite them getting worse) I don't think there's a product more synonymous with trials, even if they were never trials specific.
  9. Maguras, you younger lot have no idea what shit we had to work with in the mid/late 90's!

    Inspired Hex.

I'd say the front's too low, looks good though.
  11. He'd be wasted on a long bike, he rides his old school front sus Bianchi trials bike pretty nicely!
  12. Yeah they were doing it for a while, ended with the big sidehop up. I can't do it so I was curious.
  13. I've noticed these little pedals in between moves, saw Ali and Aaron Browne doing them at Tarty Days too, what have I missed?
  14. You can see that's right at the back of the dropout though! Marino ones are pretty generous.
  15. How does it ride? Looks a bit deformed lol.
  16. Some serious riding, and those up to fronts are ridiculous!
  17. I've got the newest version of the Dmr V12, it's thinner and has a wider base than the old one, I love them, They're as good as my Nukeproofs, maybe better! I'd have Dmr Vaults if money was no object, but money is an object.
  18. This, If you need 20 set up hops from a flat surface then you're doing it wrong!

    Titanium bolts

Ok cool, ta, I'll grease them all up.
  20. Saw one cheap on Ebay earlier, any benefits to it for trials? Definitely not as nice looking.

    Titanium bolts

Well that's nice to hear They're so light that it's just hard to believe they're that strong! Forteh..the copperslip...will anything else do?
  22. LEON

    Titanium bolts

Well that's reassuring! No I didn't realise any of that lol, several people have told me they've had really bad experiences with Ti bolts, these are grade 5 (I think) Ti alloy bolts, I have the Stan M10 rear axle ones and several m6 bolts mainly on stem, brake adaptors/calipers, these are the ones I'm most worried about. So caliper & adaptor bolts are good to go? I'd hate to break some major parts for the sake of being a tart.
