  1. Didn't like the song choice, but the riding was lovely.

    New Marino 26"

I know but the single ply was £9 and I can't be arsed to pay nearly £30 for a dual ply, plus they weigh a ton.

I liked the look of the other tyres but they weren't soft or bouncy enough, mtb material.
  4. Cheers, and yes you should definitely try it

    BB spacing

I can't really contribute here, but I do hate the modern Race Face hollowtech bb/crank system, I love my Diabolus cranks but the Shimano system is so much better.

    That's the plan!

Funny you say that, I ordered a tripod last night! Also some 3M dual lock so I can stick my GoPro to it.

Nice! I'm after a stem myself, need a Trialtech 90 x 25 ideally. I don't like high stems on a 26". I do have Pashley forks with a questionable disc mount welded on, but they're only 395mm which will throw your geo off. Cheers (unless that was for Herbert!) I definitely don't want a disc on it though, it's nice and quiet but it'll never have the hold of a hs33, I used to love a big gap drop to rail but I never really want to with a disc brake. Now I can relive it all. Plus a big rotor on a 24" still slips now and then for me, on a bigger wheel it takes even more to stop it. Na, I only really built it up so I could laugh at 26" wheels and call it names, but I actually really like it, better for the trialsy stuff, especially static gaps.

Well that is a relief! I've been sleeping badly all week.

Lower bb, Hex always felt way too high for me. 1035, 74, 380, +5.

Yeah I think staggering the rim and tyre logos looks better than lining them up, but I'm too lazy to let my tyres down and start again.
  14. Rides pretty nicely for a 26"!
  15. Don't tell Euan that, he already told me it's the greatest thing on earth when he made it for me. To be fair it is really well done.

Great watch, you've definitely improved a lot quite quickly. But the fact that you're missing a bolt on your bashguard ruins everything for me.
  17. I do kind of like them loud, but it had no depth/rumble to it, just full on noise, even though my new Blue Flame has no baffles in it definitely restricts the flow a little bit compared to the GP one.
  18. Cable tie??? This ain't a runaround! I'm waiting for my adhesive hose guide to turn up.... Geo is the same as my blue one, 999 364 +15 75, but it's got the updated bits yours has, shorter dropouts, tapered fork and headtube, where the headtube is 30mm longer it's a bit hard to measure reach as it doesn't really add up to the same as a standard headset frame. My headtube and headest combo is 7mm taller than my old combo, and I took out 5mm of spacers to get the same feel. It's also got the 400mm forks, and the geo is all adjusted for that. I always preferred the feel of shorter old school forks and don't really see the need to have loads of space above the front tyre.
  19. Cheers! Yeah I wanted it small again like the last one, as long as the seat goes right down I don't see any point going higher. Ross, I'm not a filter fan, but my budget camera is blind to bright colours, same problem with my motorbike, so I was forced into it.
  20. Southend is 25/30 min from Rad.
  21. Cheers! Out of the box I wasn't sure, and they probably wouldn't go with most colours. Sadly the gold rims looked bad on every frame I have!
  22. Cheers! I've got the Stan big torx ones from Tarty. I want them on the front too, but I'd need a custom axle, which I don't want unless it's black! All my M6 bolts are rainbow ti, I've only snapped one on the rear brake adapter, but I do those up stupidly tight.
  23. Locally Southend is probably your best bet if you park at the civic centre/police station at the top of town then work down, it's quite a busy town though and the sea front will be busy if it's hot.

Quality stuff. Some serious observational skills there.
