Put the front hub and forks on Ebay/Retrobike. I sold my good condition Fattys for about £80 posted on Ebay and that front hub is a relic. Even the rear Bulb (if it definitely is a Bulb) will go for £40 - £50 on Ebay. But as a full bike, it's quite dated and trials riders are tight bastards.

Danny Mac Autobiography - Just in time for Christmas

I can't believe all those people have books out. -
Yeah I had some of those, the quality wasn't up there, but geo - wise they rode better than fattys. Straighter and slightly longer.
-
Fattys can be weird, I had one set that were pretty straight, probably 30ish mm rake, then all the others had a huge 45ish mm, I think I got lucky/had a bent set. I think some Fourplay forks would make it ride much better though, fattys are really short at 395mm, but I don't know what fork the ET was made with, if it's normal Pashley forks then they were 395mm too.

I was never quite sure why but it happened quite a while ago. Pretty much when all the 24" rims and tyres stopped being made.
-
I'd love to ride a bike that light.

Saw these at Radfest this weekend, they do look brilliant, really chunky solid build. Gotta go with that neon yellow though!
-
If I'm not wrong that'll be 1.5mm per spoke, so virtually no different, will be fine.
-
And bring my effing pump at the weekend.

Well who is gonna make us all look shit now?
-
Thought so, I like mine but it really does need good sunshine to look great.

Very nice, what camera did you use?

Got these two recently. The Ibanez has active pickups as stock but they're shit, if I replaced the bridge with an EMG or similar would it just plug in or would I have to solder some wires/ work out something electrical? They're Ibanez cap actives.

I know what you mean with the loose tyres, it seems as if some of the 6 ish pairs of Spank rims I've had are 1 or 2mm smaller than usual 24" rims, making tyres fall on and off. Out of interest, are these made exclusively for Tarty/Danny/street trials? Now that no one else uses 24" wheels.

Well it's a pretty impressive weight saving, I was on the fence with Subrosa Evos being only 30mm wide, I'm glad I waited. I did have SLX cranks about 2 years ago but I just didn't trust them, I'm quite heavy and that's one area I don't want to scrimp. After seeing a few pics of snapped sets I realised how thin the material is, for some reason I was under the impression they were solid....
-
Pretty much yeah, I've got a few Spank rims but my bike ain't the lightest so I wanted to save some weight, plus as you say, the whole silver shine is getting a bit old now. I'm not really willing to sacrifice on cranks though so rims were next on the list, it's insane what they weigh, that's less than your average skinny Mavic xc rim! For anyone who's coming from Atomlabs or DMR rims then the weight difference must be over half a kilo for the pair. Do you know a true weight on Spike 35s? I've read a few but they're all different. Gotta be 550 - 600g.
-
I don't know, I don't love having the same rims as everyone else, but they do look good! They're the new Spike race 33s, I didn't really wanna spend all that on two rims, but I can't believe how light they are.
