  1. Awesome tune from the Prodigy's Lost Beats EP. Listen to it LOUD!
  2. All about Band of Brothers for me - even if it is more of a series than a film. Really captures the emotions of it all, and how hard the war actually was. Apart from that: -Saving Private Ryan -Full Metal Jacket -Dambusters (of course...)
  3. Dammit!!! Oh well, I know who to come to next time I bail over the handlebars [EDIT] Btw, does anyone think it'd be worth me messaging a mod reg. validation, as I actually signed up a long time ago when I used to have a 20" Base, but never got validated then?.... Or will they still find me OK? I don't know how they look up who needs validating
  4. Wahey! Found one for £16 delivered! Bit more than I wanted to pay for a lever blade but that's the price you pay for having old kit i guess. Can't wait for it to get here now...
  5. Thanks for all your help. The main point I needed to know was if the new blades fitted the old lever setup. Now I know that I can look for an old style blade, as I don't feel like splashing out £40/£50!!! eBay seems to be poor at the moment, hopefully one will come up soon! (Or I get validated nice and quickly )
  6. I understand that I can't run a 2004 HS33 handle with a Post-2005 blade. As far as I know I can run a a 2005> handle with the old caliper etc. though, can't I?
  7. If you're a "learner" then disks are easily damaged - that badly timed sidehop could cost £100 instead of a bit of paint...
  8. It is that eBay one i bet. Looks damn lovely. Wish I had £200 odd laying around...
  9. Hi, I'm Andy from Chelmsford, Essex/Norwich, Norfolk during term time. I'm a Uni student studying Digital Games Art & Design and love computers as well as trials, bmx, skateboarding etc. I used to ride a Base TA-20 20", but sold it to fund Uni and my BMX. About a year later and I watched MacAskill's April 09 video and nearly jizzed in my pants, so I've been inspired to get back into it. Now riding an Onza T-Raptor, with HS33's. It's a lot nicer than the Base...
  10. I've read that the only reason the post-05 setup exists is because the old ones were prone to snapping, especially where the TPA was located. It's a shame they didn't make them compatible as there isn't anything wrong with therest of my brake I'll have to keep my eye on the for sale threads and put some offers in once I'm able to post there xD
  11. In a word: Bollocks. Better dust off my wallet then (cheers for quick response!)
  12. Alright people, My Onza's left brake handle is absolutely screwed, thanks to a sweet bit of riding... I'm running the PRE-2005 spec levers, and just can't find them anywhere for a good price. But I can find the post-2005 for a good price on tartybikes. My question is: ARE THEY COMPATIBLE? I had a search through the forums but couldn't find what I was looking for Cheers, Andy.
  13. "What the f**k are you doing up there?!" *Usually followed by a "Sweeeet" as i land. Or a crack as i hit the deck.
  14. I apologise in advance for clogging up the new users section with this thread... Right. I'm gonna be honest here. So bare with me I've now stopped riding trials, due to time, jobs and cars taking priority. I signed up to these forums for the sole reason of wanting my Base to go to a loving new owner, rather than some little oik that found it in a local ad, that'll probably never ride it. My only wish is to place an advert for any possible buyers of my bike, and for them to be able to message me regarding it. And before you ask - yes i have read the guide thread at the top, it's just i think i'm here for different reasons to most...? Hit me up on msn if you want a chat about it : zzzzzzzzzzz@hotmail.co.uk Thanks, Andy
  15. Just make sure that your pedals are in the right place when you push off. Not too high, but not horizontal either. And push your body forwards then upwards to gain the most distance and height. And yeah - practice
  16. There's my base. Theres the new BMX (apart from the saddle...)
  17. Hi. Names Andy. I'm 18 years old and have been riding trials for just over 2 years now. I own a Base TA-20 20" beast, but as of recent have not been riding too much trials. This is due to the arrival of Mr BMX, who not only can go with me to the skatepark, but also allows me to ride at more than 5mph! And so i've been recommended by a friend to sign up on these swish bike trials forums to see if anyone is interested in my bike, as i want it to go to a loving home So yeah, i'll post a proper advert once i've proved my worth in here
