Ok tomorrow, lets say midday outside the Ice Arena (assuming its dry) Ill be there for a while and if you dont make it, no biggie Someone can teach me how to pedal up that block there (or anything bigger than a kerb ) Was just around Trent Bridge with Stunt Man today...was good until it rained, although too many football fans, traffic and police being a Sat afternoon Parking in town is difficult..... after 6 and weekends you can park in bays dotted around town though (try lower parliament street) or you could find somewhere just out the way like the pavement outside cycle life (convenient if you need supplies too)

Good stuff lads weather looks pretty crap but hopefully me and stunt man will be out this afto give him a call when u come outta work I guess... was just wondering where and how u ride in the dark lol - disaster and hammered? Can you all make say Sunday 11am aswell?
-
How about 80% practice 15% skill and 5% strength........ and 7% mathematics
-
Hmm not much of a concensus yet... 6pm though.. you taking night vision goggles?
-
Fancy Notts on Sat anyone? Stunt Man, Disaster Boy etc.... I didnt get to come along last Sat so would be good to finally get some pointers! I suggest starting at Trent Bridge on Saturday @ 1 If not the Ice Stadium. If the weather is rubbish we can try Sunday...

Awsome video........... the flatland stuff about 5 mins in is insane. I used to ride a BMX but I think its even more difficult than trials Can anyone out there do any BMX tricks on their trials bike?! (I guess not without stunt pegs)
-
Its just a snob value thing mate...nothing wrong with Onza! It just depends how much you want to spend on a bike... or in some cases, how much you want your parents to spend on a bike. Just bare in mind, it probably costs about £15 for any trials frame to be manufactured in a Chinese workshop. So when you are riding your Koxx for example, the word Sucker should be written on it too On a more serious note, the high end brands do make some better components, but its nothing to worry about until your an expert level rider...
-
Get some pictures of the ride yeah
-
I would have really like to come to that but am away then How often do the Onza team ride in Notts?
-
Well done dec. Seems like it happens when u least expect it lol Would be better if there was a set rule of validation after 10 posts and 1 new topic or something (assuming the posts are checked). That way you would know when to expect to be validated. Just an idea anyway. Dont want to cause any offence as I can appreciate that there's a lot of checking for validators!

Right, havent put a pic in the forum before.. here goes.. Hope its worked. Ill add it to my gallery at some point if I can Oh yeah. I heard Onza are doing a video around Notts in a week and a half. Dont know any more about that though.....
-
Am away next 2 weekends on holiday! (so no biking for a bit ) Sounds like a good plan though. Ill keep checking on here for the weeks following. Clifton riders sound good...would be good to see a variation of bikes/experience out in Bridgford!

Well Im only beginner yet so just do kerbs and bits. But have found... The big steps down to the river (bare in mind what u might tumble into!)The rockery in the flower gardens near the footbridge (but not meant to be there)Found some blocks and pallettes too in a car park just near footbridge today (Bridgford side)Middle of West Bridgford Park, theres some bits (but not meant to be there)Quite a bit of stuff in County Hall car park which is pretty good. No security on weekends.Theres a wall, steps and slopes just by Trent Bridge (across river from boat houses) thats very goodSteps outside Trent Bridge House Theres prob bits here and there I havent noticed yet too. You not had any trouble in town? Ive heard about on the spot fines! Ive only been to the bit outside the Ice arena in town which is pretty good Let me know if you cant be bothered to go far.... Im always around the places Ive listed most weekends (and could do with some tips!)
-
Just got back from my ride... Im around West Bridgford every Sat/Sun. I would have been up for it though whereabouts do you ride in Notts? I havent met any trials riders in Notts yet
-
Cos if you do then mine is 28:15....
-
That Ot pi stuff is legendary! Would be good to see some 80s footage. As for these days its bound to become commonplace really. Is it anything special now? Hmm sounds like a new topic to me
-
Anyone got any videos or pics of ancient trials? Was it about in the 80s? I found this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0rEqqP8uO8E and I think its hilarious! They look like morons, but they are doing quite well for such crap bikes though (how are the bikes not falling apart!?)
-
It must be for sidehops
-
Do you just count the number of teeth on the cog for the numbers?
-
and I thought Ozzy was being distastefull! thanks for clearing that up....these "armoudillos" look pretty usefull if possible to get from anywhere doubt Id be able to manufacture anything myself! apart from cable tying innertube and tyres to my frame! I might just attach one of my shin pads! (not really) As for bashguards, surely any bashes will end up damaging the frame where its bolted in anyway? Plus they must weigh a fair bit? cos I dont see riders using them much...hmmm
-
Im using drilled reggies and ronnies and they seem really good, and look awsome
-
Yes Lloyd thats it! cheers for finding that... I might have to invest in one of those! It doesnt say if they fit 26" as it looks like they are for 20" Hmmm
-
What do you guys use to protect your frame? Im thinking of securing some old tyre to the bottom bracket shell with some cable ties... (and also around the chain stays) gonna look a bit messy though Ive seen a bike with a chunky metal thing that fixes on the bottom bracket on youtube.....where can you get them?! Anyone know of some products out there? What else needs protecting and how?

What Do You Say When Someone Asks: Why Do You Have No Seat?
Chandler replied to LukasMcNeal's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
say it got wedged up somewhere... -
Cheers buddy...already read them, but wasnt that clear cut thats all. I guess its quite subjective. Already got forward hops sussed too. Just need to put the hours in (when I can) for the rest.....
