  1. I dont get why you have to have a tensioner on a vertical dropout. What happens if you try and run vertical drop out without a tensioner.... Cant yo do this if you take out enough chain links it just might fit tight and be fine?
  2. How many of you can ride with ur bad foot forward?
  3. I dont like the feel of cables. Also threads always break where they are held. Probably loads of other reasons in cable vs hydraulic topics! (and yes, reasons against hydraulic too) Personally, I tend to pull really hard on levers sometimes. Ive had Quad QMD-6 cable discs before and the cable came out of its tubing. Pain in the backside. Not for me
  4. All different brands....interesting. Id prob go with the Louise as I wudnt wanna go 2nd hand. No one has mentioned magura julie, does that mean its pants? By the way, I assume when you have front hydraulic disc, you can take your wheel straight off via quick release (its not locked in or anything)?
  5. Whats the least expensive front hydraulic front disc set? something thats reasonable but decent Im guessing magura julie or louise?....... where would I buy and how much? Thanks in advance
  6. yeah ive got sticky fingers at the moment...pretty decent, but could do with something chunkier eventually I like colours in tyres though..reminds me of bmx days when I was a kid ..and the coloured skid marks I used to make on pavements (no not brown) haha (I ride in West Bridgford Jolfa)
  7. a stock rider from Notts! where do u ride Pocoyo?
  8. Im impressed... quick response too the rear one looks too skinny for rear to me (I know its deflated but still) Cheers
  9. Nice. I love the cream and red combo. Classic combo you dont see often. I was just gonna say, perhaps put some red foam grips on there, and/or some sticky fingers tyres with red strip on.... Ive attached mine to give you some ideas
  10. Just been checking out this echo does anyone know where to get these tyres with red on the sides? they both look different aswell hmmm
  11. Weather isnt looking great for this weekend lads..... Saturday its raining all morning until midday (late afternoon ride possible) Sunday theres hail from 3/4pm (morning ride possible) gonna keep it local I think
  12. Im after red foam grips! Do you know of any? I cant find any apart from these BMX ones... Maybe they will do though hmm (also, has anyone tried Ritchie foam grips, Ive heard they are really good......but are only in black)
  13. Yeah I can just about manual my t-rex. The frame seems pretty long with a low front when you first ride it, but advice remains as above, but also crouch low when ur doing it...ull find the front much easier to lift Manuals take everyone a long time to learn, so just keep at it everytime ur riding along a smooth surface really. Start on flat surfaces, then when you get used to feathering the rear brake move to downhill surfaces so they last longer With me, when the bike slows down a lot, the front seems to drop, I end up almost in a standing position trying to keep the front up. I guess Im still learning the final stage, which is pumping out the legs to keep the front up. Ull see what I mean. Hope this helps
  14. Went out yesterday but didnt warm up or something, and am suffering from a really bad back today Stunt man - how does braided hose make it ride better... I thought its just a bit tougher and to look good? £38 seems a bit much for that Oh yeah........would be good to see some of that footage in Notts BEAU/Danny...
  15. hahahaha good stuff stunt man anyone up for riding on Sunday 30th... Im only back from hol then so cant do Sat
  16. LOL why u getting the sack? Im thinking either: a. took u too long to get to work on a trials bike b. you were u hammered
  17. Yep Im from W.Bridgford check out the Ride/Locations topic Notts on the weekend or look at my friends list... theres a few of us hopefully meeting on Friday what do u ride?
  18. Sure, no probs! if you teach me to pedal up onto a block
  19. How was your ride disaster boy? it didnt dry out until about 3.30 and by then it was too late for me so then how about a good friday (21st) ride? stunt man, disaster, hammered? can try again for ice arena at 11ish (Im on hol for a week again after that so def need to get a ride in)

  21. Cheers Adam, I just had to add some quotes to funny things my gf has said... (as below if this works!)
  22. LOL some funny stuff in here... crashing into someone would be the worst thing! By the way, I meant the quotes at the bottom of your posts... In your case "Buy My 26" Forks!" (Probably not called quotes)??
  23. Ok, just wondered what people HATE about trials? Obviously we all love it, but arent they just some really annoying things.... my suggestions (in no particular order) Blisters Getting injured Not being able to get to the next level Rain Mashing up (usually expensive) components Pikeys who ask you to do a skid Chavs who have no respect for their trials bike and no manners (giving trials a bad name) Riders with expensive trials bikes bought for them from mummy and daddy Trials bikers who have chav'd up cars Theiving gyppos who steal our bikes Trials riders who say they learnt it all in a few days Trying to explain what trials is at work Bored people who make lists on forums about what they hate ......................Anyone else got any more?
  24. Anyone use Ritchey foam grips? Ive heard they are really good.
