Good ride lads until the pissing rain storm anyway (shame Dave couldnt keep up with our amazing skills ) gotta make sure we keep it up while Revolvers away!
-
LOL nice one Sounds like he's had a warning about his bullshit behaviour last night
-
Well ur not particularly observant mate considering Im not retarded (which is what u decided to put first) As for the exact year, well done for being so pedantic.
-
For people "who really need them"... whats wrong with a Tractor??? ....Thats my analogy as u asked me whats wrong with an estate (- all the other reasons I put!) And as for a pointless image thing? Its not really pointless. What do u think sports cars are for? Image!
-
Did I say that my engineering degree was anything to do with automotive engineering? NO You are a retard mate. WOOOAA that is a beast. I like the Ford Excursion too.... Do steps fold out so u can in?!

Something else I thought of....... Ok so a 4x4 may produce 200g CO2 and an eco car 100g CO2 Thats twice as much CO2. But tax is £30 and £300.....Ten times as much. How is that fair???? And another thing, apparently animals produced for meat accounts for 20% of CO2 so why isnt meat taxed? Im not saying it should be taxed heavily, Im just saying that 4x4s shouldnt. What a shit country we live in. G4vyn...Edit:20% of greenhouse gases
-
I wish i was going off road but bascially theres hardly anywhere in this country where ur allowed to. Im not gonna make out I need a 4x4 just because of the occasional muddy track or bumpy campsite lol Ill be honest, I just prefer how they look, the seating position and ride height that they give you, cabin space, plus the knowledge and capability of not being totally restricted to public highways!
-
Naa mate I disagree. Its a genuine compact SUV as opposed to a big boy I guess. I just think it looks the nuts and Im glad its rare enough not to be coined with ur uninformed opinion. I wouldnt go for anything smaller, but anything bigger would be too cumbersome for me at the moment. Land Rovers like that are all well and good, but only if I were to be going offroad! As 99% of people Ill be on road only so something with better road manners for me!
-
I like it, looks very similar to Daihatsu Sportrak
-
Landies are awsome... have u seen the LRX concept?
-
Welcome to the 4x4 thread! Lets hear about your 4x4 or perhaps mummys and daddys? or ur favourite 4x4? You get the idea.... Ill start... I used to have a Vauxhall Frontera 4WD Sport 3dr Now I have a Honda HR-V 4WD Vtec 3dr

The only decent cable brake you can mention is the Avid bb/sd7. Great, but apart from that, pretty much every Vee brake will slip in its tubing if pulled too hard. And I severly doubt he has those on his Carrera. And yes, Ive had Quad QMD-5 mechanical disc and vee brakes and they screwed up just learning how to backhop with. My point was, just get a trials bike, which you have just reiterated at the end of your post. Thanks for a thread war, but no thanks.
-
I doubt he happens to have avid bb7. Ur saying he shud all new parts for his current bike..... and then after that get a new frame What a load of shite. Just get a trials bike otherwise ull end up spending twice as much. Ull just struggle to improve much on a normal bike, and ull end up just braking it up and if you wanna know if u like riding trials bikes, have a go on someone elses...
-
Early night for Stunt Man on Sat this time then? might wanna charge ur phone too good lad
-
That pic should say "the subject I least liked at school was INGLISH" lol ...haha nice one
-
Errr errr errr Spaz, just sticking the bike in a low gear is easy. Decent brakes are more important. Just dont bother with V-brakes. Just as well uv got disc. Hydraulic disc I hope, otherwise cables are just gonna slip.
-
Most important thing ull need is hydraulic brakes (as well as the stuff above) Too much hard work though, by the time uv sorted out all the bits you mayaswell just buy a complete trials bike And even then it wudnt be brilliant Good luck if you do convert though, at least ull have something different. I do like the idea of unexpectedly beasting out some trials on a non-trials bike.. The problem is, u find that u cant do half what u can on a proper trials bike Take the plunge mate
-
-
I dont think ud get a major advantage changing to that frame to be honest.. Id wait till uv trashed the TRex frame and can afford something substantially different/better
-
Yeah falling advice is good, although sometimes you cant really avoid catching urself on ur bike frame etc. Im generally ok at falling from football, rugby etc but I could see how break falls help Aaron...the groin thing sounds really nasty, when I did it I bruised and Im sure I had stinging pee for a few days Watched the vids, good mix of skills there. Arent u tempted to put some sort of foam on top of the frame or something now? Hmmm. I noticed u dont wear shin pads or a helmet too. Remember, ur bike can be replaced - you cant!
-
Practice ur nearly there!
-
You tried any Stocks? T-Rex and Zenith all the way!
-
Ok, learning how to bail sounds sensible, and getting away from the bike But I was hoping there would be some warnings about particular dangerous moves - rail hopping, front hopping etc I am learning from my mistakes, but thought it might be an idea for us to learn from each others!? I am in complete disagreement with "its a way of life" and "get on with it" etc.... For example, if you have cut your shins once, ull realise shinpads is a must! otherwise ur asking for a really bad injury, just look at the "nasty bail" topic on here!
