am i not right in thinking that the 306 tdi's ran some sort of mechanical injetion instead of a totally electronic system? #did you also know that you can up the boost on the tdi a fair bit, and get a fair few more horses from them pretty safely.... however, dont be tempted to up the boost all the way, or it WILL blow 6 months down the line.... happened to a mate of mine..... he upped it 3 times, in stages, until it was as high as it could go, and a few months later she blew out bigtime and melted a piston! EDIT: as people have said, those 'chips' are just resistors.... a few of my mates bought them.... on a 1.1 106 it simply wouldnt start AT ALL on a 1.4 astra it started but ticked over at 1600rpm constantly and was a dog to drive.....

problem is, even if you dont know, your insurance still counts as void...... oil burners rock though generally! if you want an awesome everyday oil burner, get an Audi A3 1.9tdi, chip it to 140bhp for £100, and have possibly the best all round car ever made.....

a typical night out consists of around 8-10 pints of snake bite..... then move onto double vodka redbull till i cant take anymore being a student is fun

im temrs of performance/insurance cost/economy..... the 306 tdi is one of the best around! considering its gp5 insurance they go really really at about 110bhp, can return almost 50mpg if driven proprely, and dont cost the earth to insure! also built on a good platform, so tehy do actually handle nicely enough shame theyre french really.... for an every day car, im sad to say that deisel takes it every time these days! you can get 50mpg from a deisel, whereas a petrol with similar performance will return 35mpg..... sad but true...... oil burners for every day use... petrol if its your passion...... and u want to upgrade. past chipping them and upping boost a BIT, you cant do sodd all on an oil burner, theyre also not really DRIVERS cars, as its all low torque, and the minute u pass 3.5-4k its all gone.....

i know u specifically said not to..... but if u want a decent car on the SERIOUS cheap..... you cant go wrong with an MG metro! not an austin one, as tehy were a bit skanky! but the mg was a gem! the mg's tend to go for between £60 and £150 depending on condition, £150 would probably see you a pretty good one! the engine being a mini engine is a gem, the mg engine had a better cam, bigger valves, and a higher CR, and made a whoping 73bhp from new..... they are pretty nippy really. handling is ok, cheap to run, and you can fit a few bikes in the back! also cheap to unsure! my dad picked up an 88 honda civic auto for £20 a few years back, did him a few months free driving no trouble. if your not bothered about something classy, an xr3i is quick, practical, and dirt cheap........ as would be an average ish golf gti

AUDI A3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it really is about 4 classes above just about anything else in the price range...... my mum drives one, and i can safely say ive not driven a nicer car..... its not that theres anything INCREDIBLE about it..... but there really isnt ANYTHING bad about it at all! its SUCH a nice car to drive....... it looks amazing, really stylish, its not a ford or any other common make.....(sorry, but we all know its in a different league) we picked ours up for 4.8k, 98R reg, 80k on the clock, full leather interior, 1.9tdi sport 110bhp, TOP of the range model, air con, central remote locking, everythings, its really an insanely nice car.... cost knew was about 23k. a set of newly refurbed TT alloys cost us £300 on ebay, and you can chip it from 110bhp to 130-140bhp for around £120, we are chipping ours soon! 130bhp in an A3 wil make a FAST car! i drive a 130bhp passat every day for work back at home, and its very nippy, and pulls like a train! you could pick up a decent one on about a R-T reg for around 4k, if your prepared to go without the SEXY leather seats and fancy gadgets-id imagine you could get a low mileage one as well! it really is an AMAZING car! ours with the 110bhp motor unchipped will pull to 130mph (thats more on the speedo, ive tested it with a gps) and acceleration in 2nd and 3rd gear is astonishingly good, once chipped, itll be a rocket! cornering wise its unlike anything ive driven, with the lowered stiffened up suspension setup of the Sport SE pack, and the 225/45/17'' yokohamma rubber, the grip is just mind blowing, you can throw it into ANY bend and it just grips and rips you round! its a truely astonishing car! oh, did i mention is looks GORGEOUS from any angle? Audi A3-get a real car-be different

really ben, isnt it a bit soon to be hasstling and bad mouthing the guy in pbulic? its only wednesday...... the money was paid in on monday, he needs to check its been paid in, which could quite innocently not be until tuesday evening after work/college, so it may not have even be sent until today! and were not all perfect are we! so he may be really busy and get it sent out tomorow! personally id give at least a week before saying anything! it just givse the guy a bad rep! ive spoken to him online, hes a sound enough chappy. not taking sides at all, just a thought, you could PM him instead

a text from him around 2 hours ago, and another this morning would suggest that hes still alive ads doesnt seem to bother with his own msn account anymore, although it was seem that many of the replies on here/convos on msn with Dave@tartybikes are infact with adam anyway..... i often have chats with dave only to find out after 15-20mins that its adam! hes still around, hes jsut a busy chap! although i must say, the forum isnt the same without you ads!
