  1. gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we went through this last night paul you told me its a 110se, meaning itll be 110bhp for sure! the only question is if its a pd engine or not, as pre PD engines came in 90 or 110 bhp, and the later pd engines came in 110 and 130bhp.... yours being a 110se will certainly be 110bhp although if its a pd engine its more tuneable (up to around 165bhp) if its non PD its still easily remapped up to around 140-145bhp for a cost of around £400, and would make a MASSIVE difference!
  2. no, theyre shift lights, and im guessing an oil pressure warning light. engines running such SILLY power need BIG warning lights.... because if something goes wrong, you really want to see it INSTANTLY to hit the kill switch, i used to have big mini indicators as my ignition and oil lights in my race car.... the bigger the warning the sooner you see it!
  3. hey guys, im ment to be buying a frame and bars from dave pinney, and im going away tomorow, so wont be around. i told him id met him some time this week, so hopefully ill go find him on sunday wherever he may be if anyone has his number could they possibly PM it to me,as id like to get in touch with him before i sodd off to cornwall for the day tomorow! dave-if your reading this ill come find you wherever your riding to get the bits on sunday thanks everyone Prawnuss xxx love you long time xxx
  4. i do like the mk1 escorts..... although this is a case of favourite car.... i already own my favourite car, and dont intend to change it...... my next car however, without a shadow of a doubt, will be an S3..... IMO, its one of the best cars ever made. be honest, NOTHING can compare to that..... 270bhp chipped, legendary quattro 4wd, sheer Audi class, solid german engineering, stupidly quick, both on the straights and around the lanes, and incredibly comfortable and driveable. can now be picked up from around 7k. and just look at it! really, there cannot be a better car for todays world although when i get old, i guess i could settle for one of these: the B5 Rs4 is by far the horniest of the RS series.....
  5. nope, it would appear that nobody can beat your outrageously silly hair cut nick hence the thread not taking off
  6. damn right kenny the search for an UBER cheap mod that i can spray baby pink is on!

    Oh Noes

fookin ell matey! that frames been going FOREVER. how about the new pure frame as an alternative? measures up at 1080, 385 stays, +20 BB, feels very like the old ones to me, and not to long AT ALL. or..... the closest riding thing to that is going to be a short control. 1065 WB, +10bb, 375mm stays.... gorgeous frames! good luck id recomment the Zona Zenith if your on a budget, although it might be too modern for you, with 375 stays, +30 BB, and 1075 wheelbase....
  9. glad to hear it went well! its really not a big job is it adam built my rear wheel when i got my new bike a few months ago, and ive not had to touch it yet, despite some huge drop gaps, and big stacks. if i manage to kill this ronnie rim ill definately just be getting another straight away. they cant be beaten!
  10. woop turning out to be a big ride im going to have to go easy at the houseparty tonight what time and where tomroow chappies?
  11. last i heard the current rough guideline was 10% + 3, giving you 80 on the motorway and 36 around town..... sounds about right. mu mums had a ticket at 37 before, although that must have been about 42 on her speedo so its her own fault!
  12. my parents paid for my driving lessons for my birthday (only cost £120-only needed 6) then then my first (road) car when i passed my test (£1200) other than that ive always paid for the costs of running my own car, all my insurance and tax. although dad has helped out with mods from time to time, because he loves the mini just as much as i do, and although it was my dailly driver, he often took it out at weeknds for a blast and stuff.... we kinda help each other out, as i service and maintain all our family cars. with the audi i bought it myself, although using partly money that was left to my by my gran. again i pay the STUPIDLY high insurance cost, silly high tax band, and for the rediculous amount of fuel it drinks on even the shortest of journeys it does surprise me that so many people have their insurance paid for though! without paying my car insurance, i would be loaded
  13. my god those were the days! X-lite kid and Southend_ rider!!!! of course, OBM was still around back then, as was kyle, and a few others.... my god i feel old
  14. well....... its as accurate as any other gps based speedo...... it gives exactly the same reading as the satnav on my laptop, and the same as nmt_olis Tom Tom, and seems to generally be perfect. there is an arguement that says gps speedos cant be trusted due to themt racking your pace across the earths surface, and not accounting for gradients. but this is VERY minimal. ive compared mine to my speedo on a perfectly flat straight road, and then compared it going up a very steel hill, and the difference is not noticable at all. i now go entirely by the speed on my road angel, and due to the error in cars speedos, i always find myself going slightly faster past speed cameras than the cars around me, who will all be doing a speedo reading of 30 so as not go get caught, whereas the road angel gives a true reading, and 33 on my speedo is infact 30. having the road angel does make you think a bit too..... when it flashes up for a blackspot, i do find myself looking around to see where the danger could be, and many times it makes you slow down just contemplating how a serious crash could occur in such places. i wouldnt want to drive without it these days.....
  15. stick to the speed limit? set a sensible one and we might do...... ive got my audi now, and its SO easy to go over the speed limit..... double it if you want to. ive got myself a road angel plus. which i think is AWESOME, its GPS based, with 360degree laser detection built in. best of both worlds! i update it monthly with a usb cable through the website, and ive never failled to pick up a fixed camera of any sort, including the speed averaging units on the m4 corridor. its also picked up a few mobile laser guns that have been pointed my way, as well as picking up loads of other random laser frequencies, including a car locally that has a difuser to scramble all laser guns. its awesome, and whilst its not a device that lets you drive fast and get away with it, it does give you peace of mind, and also alerts me to accident blackspots, congestion zones, schools, loads of stuff. you can pick them up on ebay from £150ish, and theyre awesome!
  16. yup, definately! its because you think the wheels staying up,and your legs are really compressed anyway, so when it slips down your not in a position to react quickly and catch it to pedal! rich pearson has LOADS of takes of me trying a big sidehop in plymouth, and falling into a bush continously when i dont make it! its quite funny to watch i do find that a softer rear tyre helps when going to two wheels, more so than when going to front.
  17. get real guys...... we all know the echo will ride 10X nicer than that pashley did!
  18. im a little pissed, so i may well edit this tomorow..... its pretty simple. arabs. you cant trust ANY of them IMO. they all have bombs, its just a case of when they let them off. not to be trusted. end of.
  19. fook it! ill be out kenny! first uni ride of the season happened today although none of the new guys were around due to only moving in this weekend im up for it, ill see you 11 ish
