no! basicly..... rear IS mounts require a 20mm smaller disc for any given calliper. hope originally offered the brake in 160mm front and rear. meaning the rear calliper has to be mounted further away from the mounts in order to run the same sized 160mm rotor. as a result, this rear calliper can be used on the front to allow the use of a 20mm bigger disc! hence the 180 mono trial. the two mono trial callipers available give 160/180 on the front, and 140/160 on the rear using std ISO mounts. you would be course be stupid to run a rear 140mm disc....... to run a 180 on the back you will need a +20 adaptor.

the one without the intergrated booster is 04 it had plates at the BB shell instead of a yoke, 385mm stays, and a +20BB, so its almost identical to the new echo pure. the 05 onwards controls had the built in booster, shorter stays, and a lower BB

it LOOKS like the first frame is fairly LOW bb, as its fairly inline with the dropouts.... other than that who knows. look good to me is that a 100mm BB shell on the silver frame?

not likely mate....... the local audi dealer wanted £1350 to fix mums car...... it was done by a local independant body repair centre, who are well known for being inexpensive, and it still cost around £700. body work on modern cars costs BIG TIME

yea, but its not the amount of damage that happened ash, its simply the fact that an incident occured, in which i was technically at fault. thats a carsh against me. no matter how large or small, if a claim was made, it goes against you for 5 years. my premuim went from £450 1st year to £998 second year after the crash! then my renewal quote for year after (with one newly earned year of NCB) was £730( surely the extra £280 over my first years premium was due to the crash?) so yea..... im still paying for it in a roundabout way. the extent of the damage to the car i hit has nothing to do with the carshes effect on my premium really. although they do ask you how much it cost your previous insurer, but i was assured this wouldnt effect the quote.

if you go through insurance, next years price will probably be double what it was this year (mine certainly was) and it will remain against you, with slightly higher premiums for the next 5 years. although you can start earning no claims bonus again at the start of your next policy (or renewal) when i insured the audi with a different company the crash against me did increase the premium slightly, and will continue to do so for the next 3 years..... its a b*****d. aviod insurance at ALL costs IMO.

dont mean to put a downer on things ,but a doctor reversed into my mums A3 at low speed, and didnt do ANY panel damage, just rear bumper and rear light cluster, and the repair bill came in at nearly £700 from a NON audi repair centre..... it really does depend on a lot of things, like how much rover want for a bumper, and the paint finish, if it was metalic then its a lot more money to have it done..... blah blah blah.......

damn right! my dads 1.9tdi 110se A4 is on 190k now, and its chipped to around 140bhp, and actually drives like a brand new car! he had an mot a few months back, and the garage said the readings were SO low tehy could only just get a reading, he also said it was the best tdi he had ever seen! and its on 190k!!!! my mums A3 1.9tdi 110 sport is also on around 150-160k last time i checked, and also runs PERFECTLY, both the tdi audis sailled through their last MOT with NO advisories at all..... so you really have NOTHING to worry about! awesome cars i hope the reason your not replying is because your currently buying it paul!
