hey guys, i recently got a new pc, built by a friend for a very good price. its brand new, and has been running in my uni room sinse september. ive just got home for christmas, set it all up, and hit the power switch initially everything went fine, for about 5 seconds, then it just cut out and now i get nothing any ideas? i dont really have a clue where to start. its all VERY decent kit, as dave (landlord and builder of pc) is a computer genius, and it was all bought tax free in gurnsey. i would call dave, but hes currently on a plane back to gurnsey, so i cant! any ideas? edit: incase anyone is wondering, im on my lappy atm, but my pc has all my stuff on it, which i need

as much as id like to drop it, im afraid i cant. having looked back at your post history, i didnt find much, you have loads of recent posts, all of which are fairly average. looking back at your topic history however shows a different story. it appears you were HATED, quite seriously, by just about everyone, spamming the forum with shit, and scamming people left right and centre.... you then disappeared for almost two years, from july 04 until may of this year, when you returned and people seemed to have maigcally forgotten what an utter penis you are. shame really. a recent post of yours suggests your still at college, so unless your a retart, your no older than 18, which means the chances are you have no real life experience of good, or fast cars anyway. i would like to think that i may irritate people a little with my constant goings on about cars, although if i am hated for this by anyone, then thats their own bitter problem, as to my knowledge i have not said a single untrue word about cars on this forum. you may take the comments about french cars as a joke. But if your suggesting the advice i give, and the specifications and power figures i claim for vehicles i own, have owned, or intend to own in the future, are bullshit, then you are a truely sad little man for underestimating me.

you irritate me. greatly. i have never ONCE claimed my car is the best 'care' ever (ill assume you mean car) i quite obviously know it isnt. i have ALWAYS stated that what i say is my own personal opinion, and yes, i do genuinely believe that in my situation, i have THE best car possible. that is of course considering my age, previous driving/racing history, the useage of the car, and the cost. i am 20years old, and have always been used to a fast car, so anything slower was out of the question. i raced cars in several different series both on tarmac and offroad from the age of ten to fifteen, and have an entire cabinet full of trophies which prove i wasnt useless at it (i won 13 of my last 14 races, all from the back of the grid, the one i didnt win i came 2nd, running on only 3 cylinders) i use this car for comuting to and from uni (cornwall to hampshire), and to organised rides, and for general everyday useage, its not here to be a fun super fast throw around car, but consiering my history, i was never going to settle for anything that didnt handle well, and have a nice bit of poke. i am to be starting an engineering placement in june, working for a contracting construction firm, and i want to be able to make a good impression from the moment i arrive. i personally dont believe that turning up in an evo or a scooby would set the right impression, the audi gives a classy and sophisticated look, which is not too noticable, its subtle, but still cool. then theres the cost, this car cost me just £2850, thats under £3000, for a classy, comfortable, modern car, which will hit 60mph in 7 seconds, and carry on to over 145mph, all in the most extreme comfort. sure, there are many older cars that will do that speed for the same price, but i highly doubt any of them will have a 4 star euro NCAP saftey rating, with front and side airbags, i highly doubt they would be as reliable, and i know for a fact none would be built and engineered as well as the Audi, which is, lets face it, a small executive car, not a large hatchback. i never said my car was the best, and i never said anything else was shit either when will you bastards get this? i bought it because in my situation there is NO better car. thanks paul, at least im not wasting my time completely. those who know me will know i DONT talk shit, at all, its not my style. i research everything thoroughly, and will only impart knowledge that i know to be correct. i dont claim to know a lot, but what i do know, i know to be correct, if im not sure, ill say so. people who talk shit annoy me, intensly, and i tell them so, you sam are one of them.

nah its true, the faster quarter mile FWD car in europe is a 20vt mk 'rocco!

can you run 18:16 gearing on that frame? im CERTAIN the initial info out about those frames said they only have enough horizontal adjustment to accomodate 18:15 gearing or equivalent....
-
the frame came from dave pinney for a whopping £30 the front wheel did come from a radical rob, but it was alex micklewirghts (roozor) not yours lovely wheel though!
-
best be riding damn well craig you wouldnt want my girly to show you up now!
-
well my booster never came with any im and SURE it was ment to joe..... surely this is a customer service issue that should be resolved asap?
-
well i have a 50% share in this badboy too tuppers, so on a serious note, it rides amazingly! i totally forgot that front freewheels need to tighten up when first fitted.... that hurt rear wheel needs a grind, and i need some longer bolts to fit our carbonique (go joe!) 4 bolt booster, then just needs a bit of polishing here and there, and a frame in pink its awesome! comming to a hampshire comp near you 2007
