  1. reminds me of the days when trials was truely the most fun thing in life! and all bikes looked like that awesome looking steed!
  2. looks like its shaping up to be an awesome weekend boyos! found some wicked lines in pompey yesterday i want to nail on sunday...... may need a new rims afterwards though
  3. cant wait for a repeat this weekend feeling like going big again for a change..... finally managed to get my sidehops back at long bloody last, nailled 43'' a few times tonight, so im happy
  4. sounds funky to me, ill probably be there!
  5. Heya chappies and chapettes with most peoples uni exams being over around this time, dearest bigman will be heading down to portsmouth this weekend. so we are planning a weekend of riding myself and the lovely Tori will of course be present plan is to ride southampton on saturday, and then portsmouth on sunday. all those thinking you cant get to pompey, fear not, the trains go as far as fratton, and its an 8minute ride from fratton station to the guildhall, anyone has problems, i live 200yrds from fratton station, so call me! so- the plan: Southampton, February 3rd, 11am at the train station and Portsmouth, February 4th, 11am at the guildhall thought id add a poll to see roughly how many people will be comming poll is multiple choice so you can select both
  6. the simple answer has got to be no........ if you gave up sex for EVER, you couldnt ever have kids..... and lets face it, the entire point of our existance on this world is to procreate.... if we cant do that, we fail as human beings...... meh. im only young, and its along way off, but im sure the feeling of bringing up a child far outweighs anything you could buy with a shed load of cash.....
  7. interestingly, that crash is the exact reason ive always shyed away from high speed runs in any of the cars ive had.... sure, ive tried them once of twice, but generally, i dont like going to silly high speeds, as no matter how good a driver you are, if you get a blowout over 100mph, your going to be fecked!
  8. personally, i dont reckon you will get anything really decent for £200 matt, i think decentish small ones start around 300 or so.... correct me if im wrong, but i wouldnt expect anything worth having to be around £200
  9. being local i will obviously be there, random how this came up so soon we were riding home and came across john on his break at work! and started talking about it missed the ride last year due to week long field trip, and got home just in time for the BBQ, that was the last time i saw my ashton as well before it was nicked. this year nothings going to stop me myself and tori shall be in attendance
  10. this is what sunday evenings are all about! been waiting for this for weeks now 42mins to go........
  11. mine does she rides an 04 echo team, and last weekend she learnt to bunnyhop!
  12. shut your dirty mouth you smelly UNwelsh
  13. he means the wedge to 180 ash.... which is drei.
  14. as dave said....... its the same engine as my 1.8 T, but with a bigger KO4 turbo..... also, the later ones put out 225bhp, not that it makes any difference!
  15. yea, but if your dead Si, you wont need a house thus winning 2fold......
  16. dont go easy on it! ride to your full potential, as hard as you can, dont be afraid to use your front brake..... i wouldnt think it would be too harsh when it snapped, as its only usually one leg that goes, so there will just be a very loud bang, you will jump off, and the calliper wil be snapped! ride away, depending on your weight, it may never go! remember, everything in trials WILL break
  17. as ali said, being cast, the callipers arnt as strong as the likes of hope or others. a long time of hard gaps to front wheel using a large rotor WILL snap the calliper eventually...... if not, the iso-post mount may well snap, ive seen both go. i know bigman has snapped a few, and SteveS did one on a front wheel gap a while back.... personally, ive not snapped one yet, although with the increase in popularity of front wheel gaps, i expect to see many more giving up soon.....
  18. 10% more? thats another 20bhp andy...... very unlikely theres that much variation in engines! also, the fact that they call it the 197 would suggest to me that many wont hit that figure...... as surely if there were much varitaion it would sound better calling it the 200 if any made 200bhp? also, arnt the french cars measured in PS? meaning its 197PS< which is a little less in bhp>? i could be wrong on that one, just a thought the b16a2 engine also does this easily, making 165bhp from a 1600cc Vtec motor
  19. i know i like steep head angles guys i wont deny it, im just saying, you guys dont like the feel of it because you ride short short bikes with super steep head angles. your obviously not going to get on with a UCI kinda bike! steep head angles rock, and im not a fan of the slack movement really, but i think the zenith is at the more acceptable end of the scale!
  20. common rich, i never genuinely said it was gash! i was having a truely awful day, and looking back at old vids on longer bikes, i was just questioning if i would be better suited to a longer frame? you forgot to point out that VERY soon after these silly moments i decided to sodd it, and that i loved the zenith because it rides so incredibly nicely. you boys saying the head angle is slack, ride old school mout dated steel short wheelbase mongs. ill admit when i first swapped to it from an ashton it felt a little slack, but after 15mins riding all was fine, and its certainly no more slack than a control, or any other House of Deng frame. personally, i think the zenith rides gorgeously, and ill admit i still cant tap it very well, but then again, ive decided thats down to the fact that i simply cant tap for shit anyway..... the higher BB makes the bike feel LOVELY for going to front wheel, and absolutely awesome on the back wheel. overall, i love the zenith, its a very nice frames to ride. id take one over a control still, as although theyre nice frames, theyre just not inspiring to ride AT ALL, they just feel nice, but dull.
  21. wooooo! yet again im making a fool of myself in another vid! excellente bigman, didnt realise it was this one im sure ive seen it in several stages of edit about 14times now very nice!
  22. 12.6gb, 581 vids, of other people, not including my own stuff.
  23. fraid not chris, the adverts are misleading..... the 2.0 FSI engines mentioned are infact the 2.0 TFSI, the same engine as the new golf gti, putting out 197bhp, as you guessed it, the T is for turbo..... silly misleading adverts. nojne of the engines in the VAG range make the 100bhp/litre in n/a form, although most now make it in turbo form.
  24. fook me, its actually pretty accurate as well
