  1. i think its about how the rest of the tyre is sitting on the bead, nobody ever seems to think about it at all! if the rest of the tyre is sitting diagonally across the rim, then itll be at its tightest, make sure what tyre is on so far is sitting squarley on the rim and itll loosen up some. personally, im yet to come across a tryre/rim combo that i cant remove or refit by hand, apart from when miniman had a BRAND NEW maxxis on a koxx rim, although even that came off with the use of a single tyre lever.... normally, i can get any maxxis or michelin tyre on or off any rim by hand, i find its all about how the rest of the tyre is sitting in the rim. if your snapping tyre levers, your not using them properly once theyre hooked over the rim, as you lever up, slide the tyre onto the lever as it goes up more, so theres less chance of it snapping!

martins far too cool for a helmet!!!! he wears a wooley hat instead! although, some people dont wear helmets because they havnt got one, and would rather risk their lives riding than investing in some protection. martin on the other hand, rode a comp last sunday, and he was wearing a helmet at said comp. so his lack of helmet is through pure stupidity nice!
  3. the thing is, what you said would surely suggest a problem with your car before the petrol. as you paid for your petrol, then the car wouldnt start straight away. at that time, it would still have had the same original fuel in the lines, so the fuel wouldnt be an issue until it had made its way into the engine, then back out to the lambda! still this whole fuel thing seems decidedly odd to me!

what is it with air rifles and supossedly being low powered and fairly safe? ive got an air rifle at home, that will go through two metal door skins of a landrover defender and lodge itself 6'' inside the seat from over 100 yards.......... its fariyl safe to say that would kill someone no trouble, or do away with a double glazed window from a few hundred yards.... the air rifles ive used have all been pretty serious bits of kit, made sinse real fire arms became illegal, and capable of some serious damage..... whats the score if his mums behind one of those windows? doing a bit of late night ironing or something? really man. the car is one thing, and fair play to you for doing it. but lets not get silly here.... and if i were you, i wouldnt tell a living soul either. he may be a chav, but it sounds like he probably likes his car if hes done stuff to it. if he finds out you cost him probably well over £1000, itll be more than a smashed bike helmet you need to worry about!

  6. the riding was pretty good, nothing huge, but some very skillful lines and stuff, very ryan leach. but. there was far too much slow mo, far too much waiting around, and the music was too slow. it bored me shitless. Ryan leach is interesting to watch
  7. harsh!!! from that statement, im guessing your at raleigh?
  8. if we are going to ride, its GOT to be the 15th homie..... as i start uni on the 16th! so cant be heading back on sunday night! so we must ride saturday
  9. Echo Team frame Koxx forks old X-lite stem Echo bars Monty cranks rear Tryall 47mm fixed wheel front megamo half raidal disc wheel rear HS33 with koxx reds+ RB 4 bolt booster front 185 Hope mini with Koolstop pads VP pedals UN73 BB rear luna tyre, front creepy crawler. random M:parts sealed headset, DMR grips. it really does ride amazingly! personally, i prefer it to many of the new school mods people are on these days! and for £200, it was seriously cheap
  10. not sure yet dave! was just thinking about this ride yesterday, so i thought id dig out the thread any more news? anyone else comming ?
  11. you want one of these!!!! call in favours, look around for cheap bits. its amazing what you can build on a budget! this whole bike cost us less than £200 in total, and its really top spec stuff. i think it rides perfectly, and many will agree. Tori also loves it!
  12. i ran a ronnie when i had my zenith the whole time, and i found pad setup perfectly acceptable. brand new pads fitted in without any problems at all, and i was able to run them right until they wore down to ~1mm so no adjustment issues. you also get a much taller braking surface, which not only makes brake setup much easier, but gives the rim more vertical stiffness..... i reckon ronnies rock! im a fat boy and i run soft tyres, and dont get any tyre fold issues either!
  13. personally jonny, id go with a ronnie! ive been runing ronnies on the back now for about two years, and i really do love them! ive tried a few others in that time, killed a tryall, had a doublewide but couldnt get it to work on a frame at the time. always ended up back on ronnies, on my 3rd one now i think, previous two have died from old age, many many big dropgaps and regular grinds until the sidewalls are paper thin! ive had my current ronnie on sinse june last year, so thats around 9 months now, and its pretty good still. ive put it through hell regularly, and when it dents i just fold them back out again. the sidewalls are getting a little thin now, but its refusing to die! i can imagine an undrilled one would be SOLID! i ran my previous ronnie for 9 months, with the holes drilled out to 25mm!
  14. gotta agree on the phone thing, i always have my bluetooth headset on me, and keep the charger and an invertor in the car to charge it should it run flat.... its also a lot easier than having a wired handsfree kit! i saw the original post of that on the RS6 forum, the situation was explained by the guys brother in law, the car was from luxembourg i believe. pretty amazing he walked away from that one, with just a bandage on his little finger! its sickening how a tree can literally rip a car in half, and audi have a rep for making safe cars too
  15. washout!!!!! literally, it was horrid, grips flying left right and centre! only got a lap in, and got an AWFUL score, before everyone retired!
  16. looks like its going to suit you then natural boy niggaz!
  17. by missed a payment, he means at the time of the direct debit, there was not enough money in his account for it to clear. the charge is because the bank has to look at your account and decide whether to pay the debit and let you go over drawn without prior agreement. or to simply refuse the debit. either way, they will charge you for the pleasure, although thanks to a recently passed legislation of some sorts, this is no unlawful, and can be claimed back! my mate got back over £500 last week! downside is that many banks will close your account afterwards, stating that relations between customer and bank are no longer suitable.
  18. Prawn is making pasta and I'm using his account, but we should be over to scrag Kennard from some station then over to Guildhall by 11. laters homos Rich
  19. listen homos!" the ride is saturday, as all those worthy are at the comp on sunday so rich will be down on his new leeson, and kennard is finally old enough to look at girls! 11am at the guildhall saturday morning?
  20. and rich is around..... i heard he was dirty too!
  21. i found that my very old generic boot rack fitted pretty well, with the hooks usually aimed at going over the rear hatch, fitting into the gutter and under the bottom of the mini boot quite well. strapped down that all fitted really nicely, although, great care was needed when putting the bike on, i once did it in a hurry, and 5 miles down the road, it had moved, and the forks had rubbed through to bare metal on my bootlid.... not good! also, id never put more than one bike on it, due to the way the straps are pulling on the gutter, and more than one bike, and your asking to deform the gutter. i never felt truely happy with it on the boot. then- we have always had a thule roof rack for our cars, just getting new footplates for our different cars. i got a set of the standard square roof bars, and the mini foot pack to mount them. theyre really simple, and just clip onto the roof rails and secure really nicely. then i bought the cheaper halfords cycle carriers, and slotted them on. it takes two bikes very comfortably with no worries what so ever. and not putting nearly as much stress on the gutter due to the way its attatched. windage wise, the roof rack does give a lot of drag, but that said, to keep the boot rack legal (displaying the number plate and all lights) you have to mount it pretty high up anyway, an it sits well above the roofline with a bike on it! either will do really, but my money is on the roof rack, as its also useful should you ever need to stick anything strange on the roof! also-i once got 4 bikes on it easily too! windage was terrible, but it took them! and FAR safer than the boot rack
  22. all jokes aside frenchy, you have REALLY done well there, for a frenchman it really does look awesome, like a nicer version of freds sort that seat post out before i come down at easter though cant WAIT to have a ride!
