i KNOW your gay party this weekend Al?
-
ok, so looking at the pic of them on a 5 door mk4, they arnt comps, but theyre definately TT comp replicas, in a bigger size. the style is identical. try www.performancealloys.co.uk for reps i also prefer multi spoke wheels dear John, and superleggera's are awesome, and possibly one of the lighestst wheels going, but they cost a fortune! i also have hated TT comps until tonight. in every pic ive seen, they have looked really wank, not big enough, and not enough offset. then i met up with my mate dave tonight, running TT comps on his A3, and they looked INCREDIBLE. im now in love with TT comps.
-
they are TT comps. i reckon those in the pic are 17's. just slammed LOTS. lucky we didnt quote you! unless theyre cheapo reps in TT comp style, theyre TT comps, and they look GORGEOUS! just been for a drive in an A3 with them fitted tonight some for sale here: http://audi-sport.net/classifieds/showprod.../4/limit/recent

im being forced to reply to this thread in return for a swimming pool. i am legally bound to say: ''well done rich, really good vid you big gay''
-
hate to say it jonny, because i know youve just gone back to stock, but i reckon your looked best on the mod. the mod riding looked smooth, controlled, and very powerful. the stock riding didnt look so smooth or controlled, still silly powerful, but a lot more sketchy

its a civic, and you want to stick carbon bits all over it? thats RICE. tyres are part of cars, and, if you think about it, possible THE single most important part, as theyre your only contact with the road. if your into cars, you HAVE to be into tyres..... i didnt insult you dude..... i just stated facts. a sensible low profile, decent looking tyre, would be a 215/40/17. you wanted stretched, which is a little gay, hence my suggestion of 205/40/17 i then said IF, and only IF you are a super gay (which i really hope your not) you COULD get 195/40/17s..... lets face it, my first post was bloody helpful, not only did i correct your mistake thinking you needed just the last number (youd have looked a right tit asking for 17/70/anything), i also explained how tyre sizing works, AND then went on to suggest THREE possible tyre sizes for your choice of rims, and how each would look on said rim. if you choose to compromise the saftey and driving pleasure of your little jap 1.4, then be my guest. personally, i think 16's look best on the EG anyway.... as you can tell, im in a very arsey mood tonight, several thousand wankers who for some stupid reason like football have decended on my city, and forced me to park around a mile from my house. i had loads of work to do on the audi tonight, and now i cant, as i cant even remember where i parked the f**king thing.
-
jesus mate.... your 'into cars' yet have literally NO idea about tyre sizing? there isnt a tyre on this earth that starts 17/70. for example, the tyres on my audi are 225/45/17s. 225 is the width, 45 is the profile, 17 is the diameter. seeing as its going on a civic, your going to want it lo profile (because all ricers do) personally, i think stretched look is gay, and just looses you traction. id be running a 215/40/17 on there. as your a bit gay, a 205/40/17 would be fairly stretched if your a super gay, you can get 195/40/17s too..... remember stretched ISNT cool, and the narrower the tyre the less grip your gona have.... on the audi i wont run anything narrower than a 225. it looks gay on 215s!

youd be surprised. from what i can gather so far, people who own ST's... either rich chavs with ginger girlfriends (usually an orange st in this case) who have somehow come into money, or loaned themselves up to the hilt to buy one whilst living in a 1 bed coucil flat with 3 kids...... blokes aged 40-50, who had mk1/2 escorts back in the 70's/80's, and felt the need to go back to the blue oval when the midlife crisis set in.... the fact that they call it the asbo is enough to put me off, its no better than driving a car called the 'wanker' turns out the '240bhp' leon cupra R is a bit of a lie..... its sold as 240bhp, yet most from new appear to make 260bhp like the new S3 is claimed to have (same engine!) and JBS (custom code HQ) have managed to get 315bhp from one after a custom remap. the 2.0 GTI is 200bhp as standard, and is a hoot to drive. a remap will see that up to 240bhp, which would be awesome. # get the GTI or LCR.
-
get the golf or the leon the astra VXR is way ott, and a bit chavvy im yet to see a non chav/midlife crisis in an ST. (its called the asbo for a reason!) for fun factor, i reckon the mk5 gti is your best bet, although, i think the leon is cheaper, AND more powerful, at over 250bhp.....and shares the excellent mk5 chassis. if you can stretch to a mk5 gti, why not a 2.0TFSI A3? that said, i think id still take the golf, its more fun. personally, id save a bit of cash, and buy an S3, i recently test drove a MINT facelift 2001 plate S3, and even from the dealer, the monthly on it was only £240 over 4 years, so VERY affordable. get something a tad older and better. if your looking to spend 15k or so, what about a mk4 R32? now thats a REALLY cool car. if you can afford to, really, stick with VAG, nothing else is built quite the same.

lets be honest though danny, you never really 'quit' did you? my bike often goes 3-4 weeks without being ridden at all, because i lead a busy life.... i often dont get time to go out and ride. you were only 'off' for a few weeks, and even in that time you still came on rides on foot. you didnt really quit did you danny..... so theres nothing to come back from you just didnt ride your bike for a few weeks, like most of us who work dont.
-
atomz for sure....... had mine a few months now, LOVE them
-
no, really guys.. they ride like shit. every single person down south who bought one got shot of it within a few months. back wheel stuff feels nice, but generally, they wernt a great frame at all. if they were, theyd be so much more popular than controls. on a nicer note: looks stylish, good build. just a shame it doesnt ride very nicely
-
hate to say it, but from the south end of the UK, these two are the next big thing. theyre both only been riding 3 years, are 16 and 17, and are tearing the rest of us down south apart.... all the more well known guys on the southcoast are 20+, most ovr 21 now, and all have been riding 5-6years or more. these two little bitches have been riding sodd all time, and are progressing at a bloody silly rate. it can only be a matter of time before they bulk out and start busting some proper moves.
-
id love to, but after the last time me and diet Si hit newquay i think i best give it a miss
-
uhhu, first one got nicked, never showed up. got this beast on warranty, was one of my favourite frames so far beaten only by my BT proto and POSSIBLY my 07 echo. sold it to some guy on TF back in october, and now its appeared again
-
you reckon? i spoke to a scotts man today, from aberdeen, and he sounded EXACTLY like i do in that vid! so much so infact, i thought it was bigman, and replied in the same voice! before realising who it was. ohps.
-
next time ill record it on my phone and whack some mp3's of it up. people of trials forum, you have been warned¬!!!
-
thanks babes ive gotta find something entertaining to do stuck here all summer on my own! Last time i rode torquay was on my 15th Birthday!!! was a good laugh actually, i remember some guy called monkey or something? reason for torquay was a place near enough to rich, but far away enough that he neednt know who 'chris' was
-
riding and editing aside, i LOVE the song. and bigmans editing made the vid flow really well. as for nothing worth filming, how about a £10 bet that there are at least 3 lines in that vid that you WONT be able to make next time you come to portsmouth? up for that ashley? i never said the riding was really good, it was just a good fun chilled ride. thanks ad! really appretiate the comments guys (all but kennard) nice to know my small but controlled moves dont look completely hopeless!
-
you were the first dearest Edward...... although after you we remembered to with hold the phone number!
-
we tried you northern bugger, about 10 times! why didnt you answer? thanks guys! i wasnt sure if it was funny or not! i eargerly await fat dyke or Dicky P watching the vid.....
-
damn right you should be sorry boyo! echo CNC rear, with cnc backings and some random blue rubbery stuff bigman gave me. and 07 hope mono trial front. all the way, loving them currently, best pair of brakes ive ever had. that said, due to dead rimmage, and usually half a pad on the sidewall (sidewalls are almost GONE) it does slip a fair bit! thanku partz, youve made my day
-
WARNING unless your Rich Pearson of Mike Singleton, this may not be funny AT ALL.
-
i am a porker! 16st plus currently..... which sidehops did you think looked dodgy? the ones to backwheel on the bin? didnt look as dodgy on film as it felt
-
hey chan man! that is indeed my second ashton, the warranty one i got from TB after ashton1 was stolen. i can tell instantly thats my old frame, as ive NEVER seen another chainstay violated in quite the same way, even noticable from that dodgy pic. glad to see shes still going well, was watching footage of me on it just a few days back, i kinda miss it be great to meet up on a ride and have a blast on my old beasty once more! take care man, she looks nice
