it's comming home dudes!!! Just spoken to the lovely Carl now, and bigman is picking the beast up for me later on today :) Basicly, long story short: I bought the only BT raven 5.0 proto they made, it went round several dealers and ended up at X-street as a demo only frame. I was very persuasive and convinced tim to sell it to me. it had really freaky geo which I loved, but stupidly, after a year, I swapped it with Dave for a brand new T-rex. I regretted it ever since the day I posted it off. Sadly, I heard it was cracked on the rear dropout, and eventually given away for free to Mk. Monkey. Edd Potts fixed it up with a crazy steel plate bolted on, and Monkey built it up, but hardly rode it at all. For the last 18 months it's sat in a shed doing nothing, but now I've got hold of Carl, and he's said I can have it back! Winner! The beast is finally comming home

to be honest, with the huge rise in the popularity of the internet and motoring based forums, I don't feel there is the need for a show that's soley reviewing new cars like the old style top gear. Those style of shows are still fun to watch, but the new style show will attract LOADS more viewers. And lets face it, all us car freaks are STILL going to watch it every week without fail arn't we?

Nice as the production version was, it rode totally different to the proto I had..... That thing was awesome. Where's monkey live Dave? He said ages ago I could have it back if I just went up there and took it apart for him!

Cheers for the comments guys, I've always regretted selling that BT since about 10 minutes after I posted it to gayDave and it was gone forever! The BT was indeed the only one made, it wasn't TOTALLY square, and had crazy geo for it's time. Considering I got it in June 2004 375mm chainstays were unheard of, a 15mm BB rise with echo urbans, and it had a 1080 wheelbase, yet the reach was over an inch longer than that of the 1080 RAVen 4.0. It had a head angle almost the same as the 74degree zebdi! It was an awesome bike to ride, I wish I'd never got rid really.....

I hear what you are saying Jon, but it MUST be a legal requirement in some way..... Otherwise I'd just have 1 policy on a mini I cut up years ago, and drive everything else round without paying the premiums..... I understand your point, but I feel that it MUST be a legal requirement for sure. Otherwise, it's just lunacy. As far as driving others cars goes though, Interestingly, I was given it as part of my classic car policy on the Mini, and again, through a different insurance company (same broker) on the Polo, yet not on the audi.

I ran this pair of DX32's on my BT for AGES with no trouble: both 36h. rear had 25mm holes, and lasted ages, was totally fine. Weighed feck all, less than a 521. the front had 1 1/4 holes (31.8mm) as well as 2x 6 mm holes for each spoke on the sidewall. It weighed less than a drilled 517! I ran that rim for about 3 months just fine, and I've still got it at home, still straight.

Well, provided we get the full refund entitled to us, there are several companies we have been in contact with who are willing to build us an engine to Oli's specification for the price he originally paid, despite the worth of the engine being far greater, 2 of the bigger companies (on the former workplace of Simon Morson of Morspeed) seem more than happy to help out..... Watch this space though, as the law is finally on our side, one way or another, we should see some progress within the next 28 days....

To be honest this is where the problem is I am not an arsehole (please note this is Tori not Nick ) but I will sometimes be sat having a conversation with people think "Oh my this guy is a complete idiot he derseves a good kicking." of course I never do, it just isn't polite. However many people also think this and under the influence of alcohol that voices that says "No." isn't quite as loud as the one saying "Kick him". I believe that alchol does provoke violence in otherrwise perfectly lovely people, maybe you see it as a catalyst and in many cases you maybe completely justified but I think in many other cases it is a direct causes.
