Either your 'mates rates' are still FAR too cheap, or you eat FAAAAAAAARRRR too much lunch I will absolutely most definitely be in touch A few laps with you back at over 2 years ago were exceedingly helpful in just a short space of time. A bit more time and some driver swapping / damper tweaking could be an awesome day out indeed! I've wanted someone more experienced to drive the car for a while to give me some feedback on it, so combining that with a bit of guidance might be a great idea I know where to find you
-
I really NEED you to drive my car at some point Adam. Not because I think it's magical, but because you know so much more than me about handling and what's good / what' not in general. I'd genuinely love some feedback on how it drives, and how I drive it also. Now that you're a qualified ARDS instructor, are you potentially available for hire ? I'd be dead keen! I think I'd need to retrofit some sliders on the drivers seat first though. Haha.

from brand new, for track use, you'd probably get 3 days from them before they're no longer legal. After that probably another 2 trackdays before they're fit for the bin.
-
In that case then you'll like them very much! If £450 sounds expensive you should try buying a set of those tyre for mine :'( £800 wouldn't cover a set :'(
-
Without meaning to be too picky, that's not a tyre that exists It's either an AD08 / AD08R, or an A048. AD08's are more road friendly and less track bias. Better for your needs as a road car I'd have thought. A048's are very much a trackday semi slick R compound tyre. Utterly fantastic grip, but don't expect good life from them or amazing wet weather performance at all. Size wise they should fit fine. I'll lay off the pies from today until the event to be absolutely sure I fit Absolutely 200% in for that!

You'll be bringing the Westy then

How much do you pay for mortgage / rent per month?

Bloody hell! Looks like a mansion! Top work Sir! Pics of garage required! -
They come with sliders Danny. We installed them with sliders in jardos S3. Standard size seat is TOO small IMO. I'm a 34'' waist, and I fitted and drove the car just fine, but scratching your balls on the move is absolutely out. Bollock ammendments in the XL seat are hassle free when moving. So they win for me.

they hates you. clearly.

I know weight saving is a good thing, but it's going to fecking tough to drive without a steering wheel dude

Random picture - took the car to work today. Makes me happy

I'm not sure changing gear at 5k when the limiter is at 6 counts as thrashing it

Definitely. Agree on the getting to the next band in 5% increments. It's a minefield out there buying houses, and a pretty stressful time for most. it's all worth it though -

I couldn't agree more Once you're in, with prices rising your LTV is dropping from day 1. That plus adding value through hard work should help you jump a few bands in equity share anyway, giving you a mich better rate when you come to remortgage. Assuming of course you signed up to the right deal in the first time and arnt tied into a fixed term for too long / too little. Rainbird has it. Lay down as much as you can, but buy soon in the current market. -

Bigger deposit is obviously always preferable, but I'd rather get on the ladder sooner with a higher LTV than hold out for another ~5 years to get a huge deposit. Prices are rising all the time at the moment. housing market is bonkers. -

we've bought our own place, but the LTV is nowhere even close to those being suggested in this thread! -

Some of you guys appear to have pretty fecking HUGE deposits down on these places. Pardon my rudeness, but how on earth does anyone of our age manage to bang down a £50k deposit? living at home? family help? lottery win? -
I'm absolutely in 300%! So gutted I missed the first! To echo others who missed this one, sooner te better for me! Earlier than sept would be great as I've already got a curby sprint in September
-
So So SOOOOOOOO jealous
-
Genuinely gutted to be sitting at work and not at curby Hope you've had fun chaps.
-
well, it was at the time, sadly it's just not going to happen though if I hadn't spent a day on Ash's car I'd have my own done in time What a fail. haha. Will be done on Saturday. Just no chance of having it ready before.

I thought I replied on page 4/5 Ads, sorry if it didn't post for some reason. Despite working every hour under the sun, as well as every evening under lamp light, I'm just not going to have the car together in time. I got it running last night and got some lights partly on the car, but there's just too much outstanding to finish it in the 2 evenings before Thursday Sad face. Have fun chaps.
-
Gents, In all seriousness I am really not sure I'm going to make this. I've been struggling to commit 100% due to not actually having a working car currently, and despite working on it every possible spare hour I have, including every evening for the last week or more, certain things, like the weather, are really f**king it up for me. I absolutely hate to be the one to let the side down, but what started out as a very simple splitter replacement uncovered LOTS of issues when I stripped it down, and frankly, it's really pissed me off!
-
Ohps. I'm sh*t! Haha I've told my boss I'm away that day. But not booked it formally, or paid R'bird yet. Sorry chaps, it's not intentional. Just got much stuff going on at present. Will formally submit holiday form tomorrow and pay the R'bird to form it up 100%. Oh, and then I'll try and put the car together in time.
-
I'm 99.9% in, I'll book the day off work tomorrow and confirm it. We doing any sort of arbitrary timing setup for a bit of fun (as it's a sprint course) ? or just 100% fun and messing around?
