  3. note to self: I AM NOT ROWAN JOHNS I think the pain in my back and the gash on my hand proves this Damn you for the inspiration postman
  4. Woooooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I stayed awake long enough to post as part of the LNC!!!!! Woooooooooooooo.
  5. i think your problem is, it's french!!!!! Having spent 45 minutes in a french tin can this evening, I can totally assure you that's the issue. frenchness is a very common fault in most french cars, and sadly, it's not something that can be fixed..... Check yellow pages for your local breakers yard, they should be able to take it from you for a small fee
  6. it's amazing how chavs sound the same the whole country over!!!!
  7. Sam, that was awesome! it all looked so chilled and effortless! Seriously nice riding there mate. the up's to front are brilliant!
  8. That makes no sense mate. you don't use a spoke key on a spoke, you use it on the nipples. Clearly nipples have a greater dia than the spokes, as the spokes go inside the nipples..... If you're trying to suggest the wrong sized spoke key though, that's entirely possible, as there are several different sizes of nipple available.
  9. Log in? it's a shop sku. you don't login to shops..... I know what you're talking about, but every single order I've ever made with tartybikes has been over the phone..... Very rough adding up of the largest bits though: HiFi+ forks £400 1st Ashton £250 2nd ashton £1900 Atomz forks and hope brake £270 that totals £2820, plus probably at least another grand over the years on other little bits, I've had loads of orders for like £80 and £120. Scary to think I've spent about £4k with them!!!
  10. I didn't think craig rode at all any more..... From a comment he made on TMF, I was under the impression he hadn't ridden for months....
  11. God trials chat is becomming a funny place!!! To be honest, if you're learning still, I wouldn't even try riding with your bad foot forward, you might as well master all the basics first before you go and confuse yourself. No, read the thread. As explained, that's 100% normal. Dont be silly, there clearly is. If you ride right foot forward, the natural direction to sidehop is to the left, and the other way round. People who go the other way are wrong. it's that simple. they may well be able to do a fair height, but it's still unnatural, and before anyone comes out with any 'neil tunnicliffe does it that way' crap, he may well do. there are always exceptions to the rules. Neils been riding for about a thousand years, before people realised how much easier sidehops were with the correct footing.
  12. You're joking right a hammer to true your rim? If both the above are true, there are three things you can do: stop over tightening spokes, you can loosen to true a wheel too! get a spoke key that fits the nipple properly Stop being such a basher.
  13. It's pretty obvious Connor, TJ just hasn't explained it exactly right. He had a bent chainring yonks ago, which seemed to be causing chainsuck regularly, and due to the mega long standard chain he was running, the chainsuck was able to get pretty far and mash into the frame. As I'm sure you know, chainsuck is the chain picking up on a tooth when it should be dropping off the cog. There's actually a fair bit of clearence for the chainring itself on TJ's bike, but as on just about any trials frame ever made, chain suck will always end in chain/stay war. Sadly, had someone with a bit more experience noticed this earlier, TJ's frame would more than likely still be fine. However, it's a nice excuse to upgrade If you want help building up a new frame I'm home in about 3 weeks TJ
  14. so is this Mr. Plod fella an actual real life rozzer?
  15. !!!VICTORY FOR THE PEOPLE!!! Just had a text from Sam, he has his bike back safe and sound How cool do we all feel now for being involved in organised crime
  16. I know exactly what you mean with the sound problem mate..... Rich pearson used to have the same problem, he'd make a nice vid with some really chilled music, and when uploading to trialstube, it'd somehow be corrupted and turn into baby killing screaming shite. It's funny how it only happens to some people..... Awesome riding though, you look SO much better on the onza
  17. Why's he a gay for running the best bars out there?
  18. For a cheap bike yea theyre OK *puts on flame hat* but they're certainly nothing special, just not as bad as all the previous MAD team bikes
  19. no offense intended here.... but why would you ever build up a phase instead of the koxx?
  20. Looks awesome mate! Can't wait to get my trialtech forks and front brake on tomorow!
  21. Looks awsome man, and more importantly, it actually looks fairly smart! Most parents can be against a little trials park, as the stuff we usually make from scraps of wood and stolen pallets and nails always looks tatty and crap, despite being good to ride. That little setup with neatly made platforms and nicely arranged stumps, actually looks pretty cool! looks like a LOT of work has gone into that
  22. Nasty air cooled shit.......... Meh.
  23. That's because you're not a proper plymouth Local Nick! Just a part time visitor Horizontal stripes clearly do nothing for my figure
  24. If you don't mind Andy, I've stolen one of these for my profile pic on facebook To do so I tagged myself, so decided not to be self centered and went through and tagged them all for you
