    I Am Gay

I would just like to inform everyone that today i have come out to my parents and work mates. I hope you all treat me the same as you did when you thought I was straight.
  4. I think I'm in a fairlly good position to comment on this one! with the mini, I bought it for £1200, and I've spent around £15000 on it since, and I don't regret a single penny. it's a life time hobby, and something that I REALLY enjoy. I enjoy working on it and improving it almost as much as driving it. it's barely worth half what I've spent, but that doesn't matter AT ALL, as it'll quite simply, NEVER be up for sale. EVER, so the resale value is meaningless to me. As for my audi, I bought it for £3000, and then spent £4000 over 2 years making it into the car I wanted, and I don't regret it at all. unlike the Mini, I've totally stopped modifying the audi, and spent just £200 on mods in feb 2008! I got it to what I wanted, which was a reasonably fast (220ish bhp) practical comfy dailly driver, and now, i don't really feel the need to touch it. So yea, it's 100% worth it, provided you have clear aims, and don't just randomly spend like some do. start out with a goal, and when you've reached it, stop. With the audi I've done that, it's truly OEM+, which I love. With the mini, the goal was perfection, and ultimate happiness, so I'm still trying to get there To a degree alex, I've got to disagree. I thought this was the case too, and sold my highly modifed A3 for a standard M3 as you know. but now I've changed back, I can honestly say I prefer the A3 in every single way, because it's ME, it's not some krauts idea of the ideal fast saloon, it's my idea of the ideal nippy hatchback, and it suits me down to a T. That's not to say it's better than an M3 at all, just that it's far better for me.....
  5. I now feel bad for being slack and not comming to the last few! I'll make an effort to get to the next one, so long as I'm not in germini !
  6. Common rob, dont be silly. it clearly isn't. at all. Vid was OK nath, but I didn't find it hugely interesting to watch. That said, I personally don't think natural ever looks any good in vids, the scale and complexity of moves on rocks like that just can't be captured on film like square street obstacles; hence, it doesn't look anywhere near as impressive. Still, we all know naths a great rider, and I'm sure all the riding in the vid was very good indeed, I just don't feel it comes across too well, in this, or any other natural vid aside from the 'superstars' we all aspire to, who make everything look huge AND easy. Go and make a decent street vid, it's far more interseting to watch!
  7. the blow torch method can some times help a little, if it's a small amount of oil, but more often than not it doesn't work. the pad material is very porus, and any oil on the surface will quickly soak through the pad, leaving it totally useless. I'd take the rotor off, and give it a REALLY good clean with a strong detergent and lots of hot water, then buy yourself new pads.
  8. woooooooooooooo. Big D the bus beater is comming!
  9. Hey Tom! if for some reason mowgli and I don't go to bristol, we may well come try guilford instead. Are you there full time now? I'm working in hindhead, so we could possibly get an evening ride on the go if you fancy it.
  10. mate. your post makes no sense. AT ALL. and frankly, I'm annoyed that you've wasted my time, but to save others being as annoyed by vague and cryptic posts, why don't you try explaining what it is you want to know. I'd suggest you start by using a few sentances, instead of random meaningless specs about bikes you may or may not already have or want. we're not f**king mind readers on here. try and make your posts more clear.
  11. Man that looks awesome! I'm now confused and swinging back more towards the pure than the new Zoo! Could I be really cheeky and ask you to measure a few things for me? What's the wheelbase and BB height with those trialtech forks? and what's the reach measurement? Does it feel flexy to ride? I'm between getting that or the phirana, I love long bikes, but don't know which would be best.
  12. Wow nath, all those photo's and not another rider in sight! Anyone would think you went alone..... edit: Haha, just saw you made two topics. strange boy.
  13. Then it wouldn't match the rear, and that's GAY. Bike looks lovely Scott.
  14. Having ridden this today, I can honestly say I was REALLY shocked. it doesn't ride like a high BB bike at all, which is odd, because the geo sounds like it would suck. but it just felt very similar to my A1 long, although generally a tad nicer if I'm honest. It's also insanely light. I REALLY liked it. Just a shame about the mega price tag.
  15. you should andy, it'll be sweet. say spar around 1030-11ish?
  16. I dunno, grammar aside (let's face it, mine's hardly perfect), I thought the actual statement itself was pretty bold. I'm fairly aggorant, as many people on here will confirm for you, but I don't think I'd openly state ''I am of high intelligence'' no matter how clever I may or may not believe myself to be.... Trials to me, is kids on bikes. It's an excuse for me to not fully grow up. yet.
  17. I know rainbird has already quoted this, but I REALLY hope the irony wasn't wasted on you?
  18. YES Peter dearest, I even called you Peter, so now you hate to come.
  19. Yo chaps, me and bigman are hitting soton tomorow, from about 10ish onwards if all goes to plan. If anyone is out and about, let me know!¬ woooooooooo TIC IS COMMING.
  20. Woo, I get a ride tomorow Looking forward to it ads!
  21. Is this is what google image search would suggest it is: http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=tongue...l=en&tab=wi then that's quite possibly the most disturbing thing I've ever seen. If I ever saw anyone like that I'd almost certainly beat them to death with the nearest solid object, assuming they are the human incarnation of the devil.... it's quite simply revolting, and it's totally beyond me why any sane person could ever even consider that.
  22. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I like that a lot. I was thinking of a new Pure, but I'm worried about stiffness. this however, looks amazingly stiff. It'll be interesting to see if at such a low weight and cost it actually lasts!
  23. I'm amazed I'm saying this ads, but that looks lovely! I hated it when i saw the frame only pics, the colours didn't seem right. but built up it actually looks really sweet! new bars look a nice shape too. top job chap
