TB, 8-9 months was 4 cars and a totally different a3 ago man! Jardo changes cars more often than he washes his arse, which probably explains the whiff of bullshit that follows him around
-
Been there, done that, got bored, grew up. And your half baked Prawn Wanabe isn't double the torque or double the power of my free brand new company car, so yet again you've dropped a factual bollock You need to stop turning everything into a comparison or competition all the time, you keep losing and it's not good for moral Whilst you're getting more and more wound up spunky and I are laughing at you via text message
-
and since september, we've done the same amount of miles too
-
You say this, but mine done more miles in the last 2 years than yours has in the last 4 years or so..... Go figure
-
Surely people care when a £250 remap on a stock Lcr makes it faster than yours again On another note: can anyone lend me a quid? I could do with some chips to go with this massive fish I just caught
-
really? you don't have a single one of these things..... so you're kind of missing all of it Looooooooooong way off LCR spec at the moment boyo, lots to be improved. lots indeed.
-
And a steering rack, and a ko4 turbo, and a 6 speed box (questionable) you're basically missing everything that makes the LCR better than an A3
-
I don't really understand the complaint though mate, you're saying you need to get full throttle to get full power? and if you don't use all the throttle you don't get all the power....? Surely you see why that sounds odd?
-
whaaaaaaaaaat the foooook???? 16.5:1? tailpipe probe? ouch! How did they crack your dash? Pretty horrific by the sounds of things!
-
Cable throttle ***! I don't like electronic throttles at all. what car was that adam? the Westy?
-
haaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa You told me removing the VTT was fine..... You told me it wouldn't throw a light or code..... Set Point Not Reached, as I told you would happen Surely this new performance sensation is just the linear throttle mapping Niki did? everyone who's had it says it feels flat until full throttle, which is the whole point in linear throttle mapping, rather than the nasty ''All the power at half throttle'' sensation you normally get?
-
Sure is mate, AEM Uego

aaaaaaaaaah, if it's volvo fitment td04's AndyP would be your man. I'll point him in this direction.
-
Most will be t25 flanged will they not? Or Subaru use the td04 on some imprezas with the 3 bolt ihi flange as let td05?
-
it's a wideband AFR setup Lukas, it actually displays a constant red number on the dial, but due to frame rates it appears to flash / scroll on video! Looks most odd!

Cheers dude, I like the pics, gives me something to look back at I seem to recall when Oli fitted a tow bar to his mk2 all those years ago, that it replaced the metal bar inside the rear bumper on a small bumper golf. His tow bar bolted up to the standard bumper mounts or something like that, and the bumper was bolted to the back of the tow bar to retain the standard location. Seemed fairly simple at the time, and was used to tow cars around on the trailer!

argh. More boring crap about a boring crash damaged Audi.A few pictures care of Nick at extreme photography Sadly, Nick couldn't get onto the infield at Donny, so ALL the pics are of the bad side

Did you not know that already? I reckon you should go buy an mx5

Well, I'm home, slept, and back to work / reality now. 400 motorway miles, 250 miles on track, £300 on shell V-power and an overall average of 14mpg over the 650 miles, and I've had one of the best weekends I can remember in a long time. Yesterday was simply epic for me, with the car being new in almost every way it was still a steep learning curve, and my first few sessions were a bit messy as George will confirm. Mid morning our very own Mr. Tart jumped in for a few laps, which turned out to be a fairly lengthy 20 minute session only ended by running out of meth! Adam is unhuman, I've suspected it for around 12 years now, but yesterday confirmed it for me 100%. For a man who did his first experience day not much more than 2 years ago, and wasn't even 'really' into cars at the time, the way he's taken to this whole track driving lark is crazy. A few laps of tuition from the super brain and I was going MUCH faster, much smoother,, and much more enjoyable too. From there on out it only got better over the day, early lap times in the first few sessions were 1:27-1:29's generally, and later lap times in the afternoon were consistently 1:25's with a few more clear ones 1:24 and 1:23 as confidence grew. Tyre temperature was a big issue during the day for everyone, as it was SOOOOOO bloody cold all day, track temperature couldn't have been much above 0 at all, and where previously I've seen tyre temps of 60* + on returning from a cool down lap, yesterday they were reaching 30 tops, so the track was keeping the tyres cold. Still, the federal RS-R's coped very well indeed, and the bloody things are STILL not dead, having now covered a silly 9 trackdays and 8000 road miles. I reckon they've got another day in them at least! Was great to have George there too, I took George out for some messy laps early in the morning, and then again for a pretty beasty session near the end of the day, so hopefully he was able to notice the difference. Niki from R-tech also popped in so I was able to take him out for a few laps which I think he enjoyed. Massive thanks to Adam as well, he took me out for a few laps in the MX5, and I can finally say I get it. Years of hairdresser bashing, I've always known they must be good, but never been in one before. From a few laps with Adam it's pretty clear why he's been collecting trophies in his first season, absolute 100% utilisation of the car and track, seriously commited. MX5's just gained a LOT of respect, although the way Adam was passing all the other MX5's suggested there's a big wedge of talent involved too! I even got to drive the wee blue beasty, my first outing on a tarmac track in a RWD car (done grass track in rwd years back). I absolutely loved it although I was being cautious so probably a few seconds off Adams pace, I have to say I was most surprised though to be passing a few other mx5's, and Claire and I laughed our heads off as we caught and passed a white Evo 10 in a 23 year old 100bhp mx5, sheer comedy moment! I did get a little carried away and managed to spin the mx5 it fairly spectacularly on the exit of Redgate, but managed to keep the wheels turning to avoid flat spotting Adams tyres and casually backed it into the infield pretending I'd meant to do it whilst Claire sat there laughing at me Thanks for the drive Ads, real eye opener! Enough rambling from me anyway. TLDR: here's a video of me trying to go fast http://youtu.be/xiRjW0VDuAg

turbo looks fine dude, that's in good condition compared to most! Today was amazing, properly awesome day. Me, George, Adam, and BigAl, and a whole load of high speed fun! Car went really really well, and I absolutely did NOT spin Tartys MX5 with Claire in the passengers seat.... :$

Little bit of in car footage from yesterday, first few laps are warming up the tyres, then towards the end just as I was catching up with the mk2 golf VAG Trophy car I started to get brake fade so couldn't play for as long as I wanted to! Still, cracking fun, and from the in car I think it looks a lot less dull to drive than that Megane Alex posted up but that's probably because I'm shit

Nice to see the place brightening up again Not a fan of those alphards, never have been, but I'm not into bling wheels really, I like light ones. Can definitely see the appeal of the BDSM or whatever you lot call them though Went to Abingdon yesterday for an open pitlane trackday: Car was great, although this happened: And some legendary people I met just yesterday opened their workshop for me to do this last night: www.stonerracing.co.uk Also got a few funny looks and flashes driving home, before it dawned on me: Top day!
