They looked awesome before you stripped them down look forward to seeing what you do with them though. Lovely comfy seats! The sun came out today, so I dug the car out of the unit and gave it a wipe over. It comes up ok for 17 years old and 230k miles! As it was out, it seemed a shame not to take it for a brief spin: I even bumped into Rob in his Clio whilst out for a drive

109bhp in a mini is huge. Great work Andy

I'm assuming all other methods of bumper fixings are gone and its held in solely by those?

Some comedy gold in here lately! Jardo - 55mpg? I would call bullshit, it's certainly never happened in any of my 1.8T cars, but I can't prove it, as my life is far too interesting to sit at 55mph on the motorway! Either way, it doesn't happen for anyone else either. Go figure? David: I got 27mpg average from my daily a3 @220bhp. No point in having 200+ bhp and driving it like a Honda Jazz. I'm sure you've done the maths, but if the LC isn't tuned at the moment you'll probably find a modern diesel quite enjoyable still. Dann11!!!22££&&447770: 58-60mph? Same question to Jardo, who on earth has time for that shit? Time is far too precious to spend sat rotting in the motorway in the slow lane. Rich: hoon? It's not such a bad word. How else would you describe in a single word the enjoyable act of going out for a brisk drive for the sole purpose of enjoying the drive? A thrash? A blast? Twat lap? Just about any term used for going for a brisk drive sounds pretty gay really Tb- hope you like your van. I currently Have a van and the a3 too and no normal car, it's strange, but I'm getting used to it. Adam: good luck selling the westy with the single best FS advert I've ever read! No doubt you'll get all sorts of time wasting loosers wanting to swap it for some polished turd they've hugely over valued

Is 1142 for the clio including driver and much fuel?
-
Is one of those for me? Or have I been struck off for being so useless? Haha.

I don't mean to bang on, as it seems you've already realised, but I will anyway There's a HUGE number of Honda fan boys who swear by ds2500's, and get very aggressive when I say they're shit. Those same people tend to be about 5-6s a lap off the pace their cars are capable of, perfectly explaining why the humble 2500 suits them. The few Honda driving track day goers I've met that are properly on it pace wise have all agreed that they're utter shite. As Adam says, CL rc5/6 are in a totally different league and not even comparable. If you're still able to cancel, I would!

Nobody picked up on Greg buying ds2500's and tried to stop him Standards are slipping lads.....

Censoring the internet from graphic content bad?

I'm not sure if the opening post is serious or not? I've NEVER actively gone looking for any accident footage or gory stuff at all, it's not something I like or ever want to see. I find it increasingly annoying, like Ali says though, that various friends on facebook share / like these type of vids and they appear in my news feed. When face book updated a while back to auto play vids on the news feed if you were on wifi, I got the fright of my life one morning, lying in bed, as I scrolled down to find a video of someone blending their entire hand off to the wrist in a food blender for the sake of a bloody video! People lying on train tracks having their legs cut off by trains then waving their 'stumps' around, crazy rebels chainsawing live peoples heads off, all utterly horrific and truly SICK things I've seen shared on facebook by others, that I've not actively wanted to see. Finding out how to turn off the auto play on vids was a very happy day and certainly helps me sleep better at night without accidentally seeing that kind of gore. I've seen more of it in the last 2 years than I've ever been subjected to, facebook being the sole supply of such things. I honestly cannot believe it's allowed to be shown. I'd argue the complete opposite Alex, it's FAR too easy to mistakenly come across that stuff, and I find it very disturbing. -
Interesting, cheers Adam. Typical passenger is Dad, ~100kg. It puts the whole car weight, with me and pax, up to around 1350 when on track, and almost 1400kg on a full tank, which is actually VERY heavy! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
-
Adam - what's the typical offset in lap time with a passenger? In the last 5 years of trackdays, I think I've done about 2 sessions without a passenger, ever!

That sounds like utter shit Paul, I'm with HIC, sister company of Flux, and my mini is insured on a classic for under £200 with all mods declared, 10x more stuff done than the Porsche has! Makes no sense! I've gone off HIC / Flux big time though, fairly useless these days it seems. Greenlight or Brentacre for me.

is 5th gear still going? Is Plato an option? Guy martin has been suggested, but I can't see it happening. Suzi Perry won't be able to do it as she's forever flying all over the world for F1. I think the format will HAVE to change, as Chris Evans can't be jet setting all over the world regularly due to his R2 breakfast show commitments.
-
Shes properly annoying though! Top gear as it was is dead. I hope the BBC can accept that. To try and recreate what they had would be a big mistake. It needs a refresh and a new format, just like Clarkson did in 2002. Hopefully it'll change, and a new show will emerge that's pretty good, and go on to be successful. If they try and continue the old style, with new presenters, it'll always be compared, and probably fail. Listened to Chris Evans every morning for about 3 years, I like him. Can always be sure of getting a text message read out on R2 if it's about cars too!
-
Funny you should suggest that Rich Once upon a time, many moons ago!

Apologies I twas only a temporary hand cut out thing for a Sprint a few weeks ago anyway. Will remove it this evening for you I quite like having some orange on the end plate though. It seems to break up the black a little. Need to find an appropriate orange sticker to replace it.

So dedicated to being a vegetarian he can't even spell 'meat' Love it -
Lots going on lately. 1x very busy Prawn. Found time last night to go out for a 40 minute thrash at sun set. Was awesome. I even made time to stop and take some daft pictures whilst it was cooling down
-
Ah, Bradford. It's making more sense now. The price is offset against the danger money you need to go there. Hence it ends up as fairly low overall. Good result!
-
Bloody hell Dan, £90 for all 4? that's bonkers! Where from? Mike: audio is for night clubs, not cars try elsewhere. haha. (sorry)
-
it's the only way. Doesn't matter where it is, if you want it, you have to go RIGHT away. Otherwise this happens Sad face.
-
Arse. Rule of buying a 2nd hand car - if it looks good, and you want it, you go to see it THAT DAY. NEVER leave it until the next day if the seller is available that night. The good ones always go fast.

Is this dog with or without a full compliment of legs?
-
To someone with your level of automotive knowledge, yes, that's exactly what it is
