hey everyone im building a bike and chose echo TR rim brakes, which come with red echo pads i just wonderd what people thought of them as i dont no what there like (allways use yellow croco's) until the bikes complete as i dont wanna build the bike and then be disappointed about how the brakes perform? and if they are useless i can change them before its complete ? at the moment ive only got the frt wheel and if i spin it using my hand and pull the lever it sounds good but i wont no how good they are until the bikes built (hold etc) i havnt grinded the rims yet so i can use any pad (which ever performs better) ill grind the rim if i have to and ive got plenty of tar but if the echo pads are good then ill keep them..... if anyone runs them, could you please tell me hows the best way to get maximum performance? smooth/ground rim...tar/no tar thanks

I no then adaptor is the right way up but have you tried turning it round? the caliper would be lower and it might work? and you wont lose anything if it dont (just a thought) lol

buy a new set and check the bb incase that needs replacing aswell

dont think it is mate, i bought mine from joe with zona forks and it was 1030(ish) the proto frames have a longer chain stay though

ok mate you have a fair point, as too my attitude to some of the comments but it just winds me up when people say there oppinions when im just after some information, but i am sorry, i have a short temper im aware its probably a stupid waist of money in reference to youre last point.. i am trying to make a realy light mod, hence why i want the lightest headset, to go with my lightest bars/stem/rims/hubs/BB/cranks/pedals etc etc i just didnt think this information was important to noing the weight of the onza headset....i thought someone would come along and post a link/comment to the answer im after, would of bin a 4 post topic max but like you say its become longer i am greatful for the replys but yet i still dont no the answer

what i do with my money and how i choose to ride my bike is up to me, is it not? what this has to do with the topic (how much the onza headset weighs) i do not no? why cant you just stay on the topic?
