  1. No no this is an all out street rig. There will be no trials at all on this thing. Pretty much the front end is like friggin hard to get in the air. Like once u get it past a certain point its ok but like the first 20 degrees is like worse then my DH bike. And the rigid is suspension corrected to 80 mm of travel. Thats why im so confused.
  2. My brother has a Black Market Riot with 26" Mtx rims, Middle Burn cranks, a Sankukai rigid fork with a simtra stem and simtra mcskinny bars. Now it seems to me that street bikes are supposed to be light and flicky though me him and several of our riding friends have said that the front end feels damn heavy. Like i dont really understand how i have to pull as hard as i can to pull the front end up for a bunny hop. Is there anything like changing his stem or bars or switching to 24s that might help. He said he was going to get the NS bars that have a 3 inch rise over his 1.5 inch mcskinnies would this help because its getting really anoying and frustraiting home extremely. Thanks for any help and input and sorry for the off topic nature of this post, Ian
  3. yeah man sweet rig but those tyre are absolutely hidious, no offence its just even on my bike (which has a white and green colour scheme) i think those tires would be ugly lols
  4. HAHA yeah ill get some pics up as soon as i get a new headset and tensioner. I want it to be fully coloured lols...i know im a loser
  5. That pic in the dark combined with your black fork makes it look like u have a super raked out front end, its prety cool, Sick rig by the way, and i cannot for the life of mt figure out how to ride quarters.
  6. dont see to many mods with dual vee setups anymore. I could see the bigger tire being a problem but the ultimate arms have a lower profile noodle so you should be ok. What pads are you running front and rear??
  7. Not really, i almost never look beyond page 2 for buying because most of that stuff is old and half the time already sold. And also by posting my opinion about how BUMPing isnt a waste of time i have BUMPed this topic to the top where more people can read about it and perhaps post their own opinions therefor perpetuating the cycle.
  8. Yeah so at the risk of becoming a huge douchebag i have allowed my friend to make a video of the first tap i have ever done and post it on my account. Any Canuks in the audience should be happy with the musical selection. Trials-Forum Video ->Full View • Download • Upload PS: I know its dumb but common im stoked!!
  9. So if i order the heatsink magura refills then they should fit into my rock CNC vee backings? If so im there!!
  10. Ok so my rock blue pads are being really dumb for some reason, like 2 of my friends have them and their awsome but for some reason mine have like no bite and only ok hold and we have pretty much the same setup, in fact my brake arms are better then either of theirs and my brakes still suck. Im thinking its time for a change because i have no idea what to do. I have a medium grind with ultimate arms and an Echo 07 rim. I really want to try the heatsink red pads because everyone says their the shit but i cant find anyone who carries them in Canada, I know Aki at trialspads has the refills for the vee and magura ones but i hear the rock backings are a different size. Does anyone know where i could get heatsink reds in Canada or if its possible to modify magura material to fit into a vee backing (not sketchily though) because i dont really want to shell out 50 + boarder charge for brake pads but i dont want to take any chances either. Thanks, Ian
  11. For me its deff tapping as i just learned to do em, gaps to the front wheel are alot of fun though aswell.
  12. I actually used on one my trials bike. Its awsome for the first few months but after a while the bearings start to go and it gets really grindy. I actually had the whole axel kit break on me and i had to get new ones. My wheel started to lean to the side and rub my frame. Pretty much its not great for trials, not tough enough man. Sry
  13. yeah you'll get yelled at for buying or selling in here. Other then that just look around, tarty is really good, keep an eye out in bike shops or maybe ask any riders you see if they know. How much i wanna spend??
  14. You could try PMing TRA from OTN though im not sure hes on there to often. Other then that i dunno
  15. The Echo 07 rims are probably the strongest but the DX32 is really strong as well. And because its a bit narrower it will be better for a vee or magura setup if you dont have a mega wide bb
  16. finally managed to watch that without crying. Thanks for the memories Ben, Beau was lucky to have a friend like you man.
  17. I had only met him through MSN, never actually spoken too him, thought he was kinda sketchy actually, but i still cant believe hes gone. Im never gonna have a guy come online and talk bout the mad drop gap he did or how you "just twat your front and jump" to tap. Damn man, im so sorry for his parents and GF. Beau your and ace guy man, i wish i coulda ridden with you. Video was amazing, i was close to ballin. Ride In Peace Beau Forest.
  18. Talked to the guy on MSN a couple times, seemed like an awsome chap. I just dont know what to say, its always the best people that get the worst outcome. RIP man were gonna miss u!! Ian
  19. Im pretty sure they still make them, in canada we have them out the ying yang.
  20. just buy the new echo ones from hugo. Mine works pretty well though i havent had it on long.
  21. And hey if there is a better foot then at least us right foot guys have vince on our side!!
  22. Its not too hard on flat ground to get em but when the object gets narrower it gets really hard. You have to absorb the gap or up with your legs by bringing your hips toward the stem. Have your arms bent slightly too (it feels really akward but will make sense in a moment). When your rear wheel gets high enough, throw your hips back and up and push off your arms throwing them forwards. Modulate your front brake to get the front wheel moving up and forward and then suck up the rear wheel and try to get it in the same place as the front was. It takes tons and tons of practice to get it on rails and stuff but its well worth it as its a top move. I still cant get them on narrow stuff and ive been at it for some months. Hope this helps, Ian
  23. If the pedals were cross threaded then you can tap it out again pretty easily. If their really messed then you can helicoil it. Im pretty sure they come in that size and once you have then the threads will be far stronger then they were before. I still cant believe that deng cranks dont come with and insert. Its madness!!
  24. Someones got to do a video of Jmaes Barton for all the Canuks on the forum.
  25. yeah thanks for the help guys. For me mainly its because i spend so much time fixing my bike and watching videos that when i go out i feel that i am way better then i am actually. So when i dont land move that i think i should i get really pissed.
