You can juggle a little where u wanna spend the money. I run avid ultimate arms with rock blue pads and plain deralluer(sp?) housing. If you want ritzy cables the nokon sleeved ones are really nice. If i were you i would suggest avid sd7 arms with vfly pads or the rock greens with either shadow conspiracy or deralluer cables. should be mint man vees are the bomb! Hope this helps, Ian

Yeah but alotta folk drill out their dx32, i know i did. I think that drilling your rims is more for style then anything. You dont save lots of weight and it really does not compromise the rims strength any so if you think it looks good then do it if not dont. As for me i have swanky rim tap so u know i bust out the drill!!

WOW he sure likes his wheelies. Ive got a little friend named matt who about that good and hes only 13. Some kids these days ehh. Am i right you older folk and i right?! LOLs sick skill though but i wanna see more trials and less wheelieing lol.
-
Yeah like you could mount it i think if you hook it up right but the bigger question is will it feel like crap. Its a good question u should try it out, you got nothing to loose but a bleed either way.

Sorry but i wouldnt even go near any hayes for my trials bike man. Apart from having a reputation (and rightly deserved) for horrible lever desgin and awful brakes they also have the worst customer service i have ever seen. I bout an elcamino brand new from them and when i opened the box the lever was cracked and the hose was split and they wouldnt even take the brake back. I hate hayes and many others so, do NOT go hayes on any bike worth more then 15 dollars!!

Tar is fine if you dont wanna buy new pads yet to make your brakes have a little more bite. There arnt really any downsides cept it sucks in the wet and it makes dirt stick a little easier, bout once a week i like to take some soap and water to the rim so get her all clean and ready to go. Tar is also great between grinds to keep ur brakes feeling great!!

The avid juicy 7 or ultimate are both really nice. I find that the ultimates tend to have lots of flex in the caliper which means it might break after a while. The magura lousie is really nice too or you could try one of the formula brakes, the ORO is awsome. You could always go with the tried and true hope mono trials, not excatly light but u know itll work. hope this helps ian

You could do like my friend does and CNC his own hangers outta titanium. Or use something like a rennin which bolts to the hanger and the frame. The new echo hubs have the hanger on the axel itself so you can actually cut the hanger where it meets the frame and loose no strength their kool too. Loads of options u just gotta get creative, i know a guy on OTN who made a tensioner outta a spoon and a saw blade.

Yo that looks pretty sweet man, does it ride good?? Im not too stoked on the pink theme though. Id rate it like a 7 outta 10 probably cuz u need a cleansweep rotor up front and i dont really like the pitbull frames. LOL sry but its the truth man But if u like it thats what matters!

Bad Things That Bike Shops Have Done To You/your Bike.
spartan replied to Daborn Meister's topic in Trials Chat
hahaha 2 freewheels thats rich!! My fav bike shop is super, the guys their both ride or rode trials and are super smart. Some other ones though are just crazy. Me and my friend walk in to pick up the bike he left there 2 weeks ago for a tune up. They said the bike wasnt quite ready so we waited 20 mins then they brought it out and it was clear they had done nothing but wipe the dirt off and oil the chain(but not clean it!). But w/e it was like a 10 buck tune. So my friend hops on his bike and wheels it to the door. But he grabs his rear disc as we left and it made a bad squeak so he went back and said yo why is it squeaking. I clearly saw that the pads were adjusted wrong but didnt say nothing. The tech looks and says one sec, he comes back 2 mins later with a bottle of dw40 and soaks the brake and pad!!!. WTF are u retarted?? Lube on a rotor damn i nearly dropped him lol!! -
KK i think i got the problem solved. The reason its really small is because its bmx sized and meant for the proprietary stem. The problem was that there was a space between the bar and stem after it was all tightened up. So i just took one of the 2 shims out and it looks like its seated way better and the bars dont move at all.
-
Hey guys, I just got my new nemesis project handlebars. They are 22.4mm in diameter. My stem is 25.4mm so there for i have to use a shim. I was wondering, when i have the bars clamped in the stem fairly tight a bit of light still shows through meaning there is a gap between the shim and the bar and the stem. The bars feel solid and i think the stem is tighted so is this normal or should i get it checked out? thanks ian

I dont care what anyone says. Vees for sure can be way more powerfull then discs. Its a simple physics problem. No matter how tight your spokes are when the hub stops the rim will keeps moving. A vee stops the rim itself so there is no movement. Also i find that if a disc sucks there isnt really much you can do to make it better. With a vee there is a miriad of different things you can do!!

Yo dude we're supposed to be talking about our favourite bikes man, this is a sweet thread. Im fully stoked on the 07 Czars or the Meta VTT perfect geo and built to last. I wouldnt run any other frame. Koxxs XTP is too over priced.

Flat to flat i can shoot gaps to the front wheel about 8 feet. I can only do like 6 foot max to the rear I know im weird..

Anyone Else Think This Is A Good Idea?
spartan replied to sideburns(dnt ask)'s topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Hey I think that letting the New Memebers buy off of the guys isnt a bad idea. I mean if you send a money order or check then you just wait for it to clear before you send your kit out. And hey most of the guys that use this forum are from the UK and im sorry if you really want somin then you should be able to say yeah i want this then drive out to where ever the guy lives and pick it up. IE cash transaction means no risk. I mean if a guy whos new to trials is willing to drive from scotland to wales (45 minutes ) then I think he can be trusted. But new guys should NOT be selling, there is too much risk cuz we dont know you at all. Sorry but its true!! -
Yeah if budget isnt and issue hope all the way. If you dont wanna be taking your girlfriend roller skating for the next 3 years then I would say the BB7 Its solid cheap and easy to adjust. Just make sure u get the G2 Cleansweep rotors, the stock wavey one sucks!

Yo dude loved the way u blacked out ur balls man. Must hurt a little when the misses goes down town Yo i done go no pics though man it sucks. I have a kool spike comin outta my shoulder though lol.
-
Yo sweet rig man It looks awsome. Ive always loved the geo on the VTT man if i break my Czar Im getting one of those for sure!!
-
DUDE!!! Thats the sweetest thing in world are you joking LOLS. Can I have a ride sometime!!

I tore all the muscles in my back when i first started riding. But when they healed my spine was actually a little twisted and started pinching nerves so i had to go in for some grueling physio. That was annoying. I broke my collar bone playing soccer once but that wasnt too bad. The worst was when i was 15 playing keeper i dove for the ball and got kick full on in the face. Ended up breaking my cheekbone. OHH man the agony. I think that was the longest 2 weeks of my life. When people say liquid diet them mean LIQUID as in nothing. Dudes, DONT get kicked in the face.... its not a good idea Props to anyone who can top that Cheers, Ian

spartan replied to TJ.'s topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Yeah posts like that usually dont help. Just cruise around and post on stuff u know about. Start some good topics or post s vid. And DONT BE AN ASS Starting haters threads will only make you into a hater. IE hated!! Chillers for the win bro!! -
