I know it's a massive ask, I had to pay it off over 10 months. But realistically going on £900 otherwise I'm just losing out

It's a sweet little setup and I'm reluctant to sell it. But I'm no longer in a band ( not enough time and other reasons) and it's not an amp you use to just jam at home with. Plus if I don't sell it now, thinking I'll use it one day, when I know I won't, I'm just going to lose out on money I could buy myself a smaller, more practical setup.

Any one interested in an Orange amp considering selling if the price is right. The heads a Th30 and the cabs a compact 4x12. Total setup cost me £1200. Bought brand new about a year ago and used about twice a week for an hour over 6 months. So still pretty much new, and the tubes are fine (always warmed them up and cooled them down before and after playing). The other six months it has sat in my wardrobe. Good to hear the brake is all sorted! It's all just practice like any sport. But pedal hopping will take it out of you to begin with because your having to consciously think about everything your doing. Once it becomes second nature, you'll find it easier than pedalling normally…well almost haha

I cannot get it to budge.. either way.. as the front brake lever has a fair bit of travel until brakes activate.. where as the rear is responsive as anything.. slight touch locks the brakes on My guess with the TPA not budging would be that the previous owner used that to adjust the brakes rather than loosening off the brake clamps and actually moving the iston closer to the wheel so it's probably been rounded off or screwed in too much (with it being plastic it's very easy to do but you can get replacements easy enough!). Didn't read that very well haha whoops!

The little red wheel for starters is called a TPA (turbo pad adjuster) the reason it won't move is because it is fully turned in the plus direction. The tpa acts the same as the little screw on your rear brakes for adjusting the pads but just on the handlebar instead. You'll need to unwind the tpa fully, then adjust your brake caliper a closer to the rim, and then fine tune with the tpa afterwards. The squeaking brake on the rear is normal for trials bikes and is actually a good sign the brake pads are hitting the rim square. Most people like the sound just like they like a loud freewheel etc. the 'Clicky' thing on the crank is called a front freewheel or FFW. This just shifts all the weight associated with the drivechain from the back of the bike to the centre, giving you a better centre of gravity. And lastly not being able to hop high will come with practice. You may need to mess around with stem and bar variations as they will change massively how the bike handles and your body position over the bike. Happy trials'ing

Does your magura have a tpa? (Little red wheel near lever blade) if so try turning this towards the plus symbol a couple of full turns and see if that helps. If so like 'isitafox' said your pads are too far away from the rim.

I have no idea what the rim is I'm afraid I'll have a look in a bit see if I can find any branding. I don't think its egged, like you said that's a pretty easy spot. However, I do have tyre rub on the frame in one small area on one side of the wheel though. But I've put that down to tyre bulge as the sidewalls are as thin as paper. Will have a play around a bit more, if not I'll just see if there's another cheap rear selling on here, just to try it out and see what happens

so am i right in saying a washer under the allen key bolt head so that i can adjust it to the shank of the bolt without the head of the bolt holding it off?

Ahhh I see! Will this still work even though the frame dropouts are vertical?

okay, but how does that affect where the brakes will sit on the rim? not in a rude way, just curious

It's running 21F 17R and chain is old

I've recently bought myself a 26" GU typhoon after taking a long break from trials. I've been tinkering around upgrading parts to get it fit for riding. But there's one problem I can't get past, and that's setting up the rear HS33. The 4 bolt clamps just won't adjust enough to allow the caliper and pad to come down far enough into the rim. So I decided the slots in the magura clamps and the crappy rubber caliper clamp washer/thingy were shite and holding it off. I shopped around and everyone rated the TNN clamps, providing 8mm of adjustment as oppose to the 5mm with the Maggie clamps, and doing away with the washer by clamping the caliper square (providing the mounts were squared). But to my frustration the pad is still only just about on the rim and partially touching the tyre?! Anyone know of a fix, as I'm sure this cannot be like this for all typhoons as there would complaints galore! Cheers in advance

Hi Depends if you want a long life tyre or a grippy one. For a long life one get a echo front, for grip get Maxxis Creepy Crawler.

Hi, Just wanted to make myself more known on Tials Forum. I am 13 years old. I have been Trials biking for about three and a half months now. I own a Onza T-Vee with 20th anniversary Magura Brakes. Hi, Tartybikes do them but you have to send all your stuff to them. I think the prices are if you buy all your equipments from them like the hub rim spoke then it is £10 but if you just want them to build your wheel from the stuff you already have it is something like £15. I am also trying to find someone to build my wheel for me. Hoped i help Chris
