  1. I'll come ride bikes with you Orgy.
  2. Old men and little boats, what's not to like. Some more over at the ol' mattpurdon.co.uk
  3. The shells are fine and have loads of life left in them and rings for a standard engine are non-existent, so it's got everything else it could have had. It's a top end rebuild out of necessity, really - had new cam bearings, fast road cam, followers, springs, valve guides, stem seals, re-done the valve seats, skimmed the heads, new/ rebuilt pumps, recon distributor, leads, plugs, recon starter, rebuilt carb, flowed the inlet, steel timing gear, all core plugs, new spigot bearing and decent gaskets throughout so not quite just a strip, check and reassemble
  4. Get Tinder then make a thread on here about it to try and console your conscience.
  5. Just went round to my pal from Burton to pick up some valve stem seals, got chatting and he was taking the piss out of me for not 'at least putting rings in it' with my rebuild, to which I pointed out that it's impossible to get standard rings for an Essex anymore. "Yeah, that's because the only set in the world are on my desk - i've hidden them away for years. Andy burton's in tomorrow, i'll ask if you can have 'em" The b*****d. Looks like we're going all the way with it, big end bearings will be the only original part left and there's bugger all reason to leave them alone if the rest has been done. £££.
  6. https://www.facebook.com/VirginIslandsSwag/videos/833143370078029/ BLAM, f**k up the potato even more
  7. sliver/ black rims and that'd be a tasty rig...
  8. Hopped in the truck today to go town, clutch barely works, right front wheel isn't very attached, bulkhead seems to have moved forward so the passenger door won't shut right and everything smells like burning gear oil. What the f**k has happened.
  9. Yeah I was gonna say, thought that was part of the many plus-points of going for ITBs, being able to set it up exactly how you want it?
  10. I drove a 106 1.5D yesterday. How the f**k do you drive those things, I went over a cat's eye and thought I was going to die. Also, lol at the fake VXR.
  11. You mean just standing there while a selection of random blokes try it on with the bird you're with has a low success rate? Sounds like she did you a favour to be honest, G.
  12. Good stuff Ed! What you up to there? We fired those up purely to go to the pub - part of Ron/ Brian Knight's fleet if you know of them. Serious bits of kit from a time when men were men.
  13. I drove the one at the front yesterday. It's called Victory, the other is called Dreadnought and they've not been apart since 1925. 14 tonnes, steering is done by a chain and there's 1.5 turns of the wheel in terms of play before anything happens. Does about 8mph flat out and is f**king terrifying.
  14. So basically, you got properly mugged off by some Tinder slag? Deep.
  15. Jardo do you call it a timepiece yet?
  16. The utterly f**king ruined paint on the roof where we accidentally dragged a loaded winch rope over it must add £10k.
  17. Just sorting these photos out, omgbarnfind etc. Heads are done, collecting tomorrow then I sincerely hope i'll see it on the road by the beginning of september.
  18. Moving back to London, G?
  19. Yeah, I think it's just the adjustment thing really. It's nice having my mum about, but having no time to myself is very strange, or constantly having to check in, it's just something i've kind of forgotten how to do. Mum being the queen of anxiety as well doesn't help, so if i'm out doing whatever and don't get in til 1, 2am, she'll be staying up until I get home because she's worried, or if i'm anything less than 100% visibly happy (which i'm definitely not at the moment) i'm quizzed on it constantly. Guess it's just an added incentive to get moved out again asap!
  20. Bar the whole having somewhere to live that's not outside thing, this whole moving back home deal is some next level bullshit.
