Are you on xbox live? The latest update (just before christmas) updated the codecs so it pretty much plays anything now. wmv, divx, mpeg, etc......

What I meant was that most TV's that advertise they can do 1080i don't actually have a resolution of 1920x1080. For example, the TV James posted has a resolution of 1368x768. It can display 1080i by downscaling the picture. IMO on these TV's you are better using 720p because that is closer to the TV's native resolution and the TV isn't having to do any extra work to dowscale the picture. If an advert for a TV is boasting about being able to do 1080i then chances are it doesn't actually do 1920x1080 otherwise it was just say 1080p. Hope that makes sense

If a TV says it can display a 1080i image, it's actually downscaling it to 1280x720. You are much better of using the 720p option on these screens. Only a 1080p screen will display a resolution of 1920x1080. Those Samsung TV's are great, I have last years version of that and it's outstanding. IMO 1080p is a complete waste unless you have a huge screen or are sitting really close to it.

Weight Training... Thread Number 2...
endofreak replied to downhill_rob2@hotmail.com's topic in Chit Chat
I'd like to see their technique. I personally prefer to have proper technique over heavy weights. -
Have you tried E Car Insurance? They have a pay as you go service but I'm not sure if they have any age restrictions or not.

If you just want to watch telly on it, you could just plug a freeview box into it using the audio/video connections.

Unfortunately not. The K800i uses the new M2 memory sticks. There failry cheap these days anyway, I've seen 2gig M2 cards for £17.

Have my tickets booked for this saturday! I don't care how childish it sounds but I really can't wait.

Used Firefox for a while but changed back to IE7.

If you do go for an LCD make sure you get one with an adjustable backlight. Turning this down makes a huge difference to the blacks.

I rented it just to mess around and see what it's like and took a few wee snaps. I'm not overly impressed with the graphics to be honest, but I may just be spoiled by the level of detail in Gear Of War. That game has really set the standards high.

I own a black and orange W880i. It really is an outstanding wee phone. Sorry Ian but I have to disagree with your old fashioned fews I like being able to do more than just make calls and texts. This phone is only marginally larger than an Ipod Nano and the sound quality is easily just as good as it, so why carry both when I have them in one neat package. The camera really is naff but I carry my phone on me at all times and it's handy for those spare of the moment snaps. Yell.com and the google map software also came in very handy recently when I was staying in an unknown part of the country and wanted to find the nearest cinema. The desktop and media player remotes are great too. I throw a Halloween party every year and I can control the music from anywhere in the house, which means I can hide the mouse and keyboard to stop anyone else messing around with it. Mwahahaha. The best bit of all was the phone was free. Yes ok, I have to pay £20 amonth line rental but I would easily spend more than this on pay as you go.

If you own the premium Xbox 360 then you should have a set of component cables. Ignore the yellow lead on this and plug the other 5 into the back of your TV. Also make sure you change the switch on the lead to HD TV. There are a few arguments on forums on which is better but it seems to be down to personal opinion rather than facts but I do know there are a few games which don't fully support VGA so I'll be sticking with the component cable.

Frosted Strawberry is hard to beat. Every Tesco local to me have them in stock and Tesco.com also appear to have them, so get on the site and order a load of them.

Anyone use Commodo firewall and Utorrent? I get good DL speeds but there's alway a red exclamation mark at the bottom of the Utorrent window and it only goes green if I set Commodo to allow all. Utorrent is set to allow in Commodo's application monitor and I have the port set to allow in the netowrk monitor. Anyone got any suggestions.

Euro. Just because it pisses me off when I travel to england and most of the people in shops, etc don't seem to understand that we use Stirling in Northern Ireland too. I'm sure the Scots and Welsh have the same trouble.

There's a cinema in Belfast that charges £12 a ticket. But it's the VIP suite. There's only 48 seats in the screen and they are all leather recliners, plus there's free refills on the drinks and popcorn. Will be checking this movie out at some stage but not in the VIP screens.

5ft 10" and was 14 stone a couple of months ago, now 13 stone. I aim to be close to 12 in the next month or two. I think I would just look unwell at anything less than that.

Does anyone use the Sky or Virgin HD boxes? Do they enhance/upscale the non HD channels? I have normal Virgin media at the minute and the low res picture looks dreadful on my HD TV.
