  15. They're to realease the purge gas used in welding, if the tube wasn't purged whilst being welded, the weld would either sink or sagg inside the tube, and there would more than likely be both lack of fusion and penetration. The inert gases used create a sort of pressurised seal that stop the weld from sagging (lack of fusion) or sinking (lack of penetration) . Josh.
  16. have they just lost the ball bearing that sits inside ? If they have, get 1 out an old freewheel, fit a treat . Josh. Acctually, not sure if they come with a ball bearing, might well of been a bodge , so try wackin a ball bearing in there, will give you a perfect seal aslong as its clean. Josh. Oh, and if this works, make sure to take a few out with you, 'because if you bleed your brake when your out nd about, your gauranteed to loose the lil thing .
  17. Beautifull bike you've got there pal, love the anodised backings . Cheers, Josh.
  18. Does sound like it would be nice , but i really wanted to avoide just drilling it, thought some simple slots would look quite plush, as it would only show up as a dip with a silver outline, as the inner wall wont be touched. Cheers for the comment pal .
  19. Sorry, forgot to put this in. Its the 26" rear Cheers, Josh.
  20. Evenin' all, just looking for peoples opinions on this really. I'm planning on machining my trialtech race rim and just want to know what people think of them as they are and if the plan sounds alright to you lot. All i want to do to it is simple machine a rectangular slot where the sport rim is drilled, 13-16mm in width and probably around 20-25mm long (haven't looked at it to work out widths/lengths yet), probably only through the second wall, leaving the inner wall whole. I have all the tools needed and have quite a bit of experience with it, so this wouldn't be a bodged job like some of the drilled rims that have been through here. Also im not doing this to be a weight wennie , just want to put my own mark on it really. All veiws are helpfull on this . Cheers, Josh.
  21. Looks like a really nice piece of engineering there, very smart design Just have 2 quieres () about it though- 1) Where can i get hold of the hosing , looks sweet, and 2) did you consider using 1 conventional lever and 1 smaller lever on the underside for thumb use? Cheers, Josh. Hope it all goes well with the manufacturer, ect
  22. how do, me 'nd ben will be at bunny around 12ish see you'll there. Josh.
