  1. Its only tacked up at the moment, still have to sort the gussets out, but when its done, i will do . Cheers, Josh. Cheers matey, and the handful of a midget mayby . Josh.
  2. Around 1.6 mm should be more than enough in 4130, could probably go down to 1.2 Josh. And personally, i'd stick with round If you havent found them already- 4130- http://asm.matweb.com/search/SpecificMaterial.asp?bassnum=m4130r 1020- http://www.matweb.com/search/DataSheet.aspx?MatGUID=2740581369f3421dac0d8c91294b5935&ckck=1 Speaks for itself really.
  3. A block of lard could put lgm's to shame Oh, and think this is quite a good idea, i get no end of wobble from cnc backings. Also had the tabs snap off before due to wobble.

  7. Not yet, have got the chain/seat stays ready, will hopefully have it assembled by next week, so will put picks up . Just been waiting for a few milling bits to arrive to do the drop-outs, should be here tomorrow . Cheers, Josh.
  8. Put this up in the news bit yesterday, thought it'd fit in here nicely nd all- Not saying anything bad about trialtech when i say this (even though every rim i have had from them has had troubles with either keeping the tyre on or taking it off), but its seems to be that the trialtech and rockman 108 freewheels are exactly the same, just me? Just paying a pound extra for some trialtech stickers . If they are, id be wary, the rockman one was supposed to butt up against the crank arm and tighten the lockring, where in fact, they'd made the actual drive ring too wide and there was a lip that sat on the cranks, meaning the lockring kept coming loose, leading to a bad case of the skippies. And before you start jibbering on about bike maintenance, i even tacked the lockring up and somehow (im not exactly sure how ) the tacks cracked and it came undone again. In the end it met the gas axe . Just sharing the knowledge, Josh.
  9. Can you put some pics up of the problem? If you've got it, try using a masonry drill just smaller than the bolt, whack it in a drill and put it into reverse then continue to drill the top of the bolt, putting quite alot of pressure down. Because of how hard the tip of the masonry drill is, it should dig into the bolt, unscrewing it rather quickly. Just be careful that you dont burn the tip of the drill out . This works with milling cutters, but have never tried it with a bolt. Cheers matey, Josh.
  10. Looking good mike . I remember getting some of the original tarty black pads off adam probably 5-6 years ago now and he'd put the chamfered edge on them, he explained why it helped, but being a young'un at the time, i cant remember the science behind it . Would you be able to tell us the composition of the fluid mike? Or is it a secret formula jobbie? Cheers matey, Josh.

  12. I am indeed, found a few places to send it too around the area, as the actual processes involve kit that i dont have access to. Not going to start asking around until it's fully welded up though . Cheers, Josh.
