  1. Can anyone recommend me a wheel building apart from tarty? any help appreciated thanks Joe.
  2. Don't suppose i could add you on msn? make it easier when i come to fit it
  3. Haha yeah, my tpa is f*cked on my 05, so i'm looking for a new lever anyway... so say if I was to waterbleed my 05 and get a deng lever like this http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=601 and bought a tpa to go with it, it would feel like the 04? Since i love the feeling of the 04 Also i sorta dent rims quite easy so i think i'll get an echo rim. Good to hear lol, not to badly priced at £45 as well What do you run upfront? If anybodys got anything better than an v!z hub let me know..as long its not a king or a profile...
  4. Can you feel it in the cranks when they go round if you pedal slow? If so thats what mine does, i just gave it a good spray of wd40 and it seems fine now. I think some sand or grit got in mine..
  5. Thanks for the welcome:) excuse my typing as my finger is killing atm... at crimbo i was thinking of a v!z hub, black mutiny spokes and a echo drilled rim, same for front. What do you think of this set up? Also i've got 05 magura's and i hate them, i'm thinking of a bb7 up front and a 04 magura at the rear? Are the 04's better than the newer ones?
  6. Ok will do, i'm getting a new wheel set at crimbo anyway.. and to add to my bad luck i broke my middle finger in rugby! So now when i walk around with my finger strapped up it looks like im swearing at people!
  7. Damn, i keep snapping spokes:( and there titanium!
  8. Lmao no, just me going F*CK! lol. Nah, still getting there:P But i'm not a noob.. Thanks, erm since julyish. Haha yeah its in essex...where Matt Staples lives:P Check the tarty bikes riding thing. Yeah it's pretty small but there are so many surprising spots here, i found about 3 lines today:P
  9. Lol, i will do soon! i've got to sort my front wheel out first, bloody spokes are playing up. I'm running a shimano 18 tooth i think, nah don't bother with a bashring, but i do run a bash guard. Yeah so would I! lol, don't understand why he doesn't like it?
  10. Meh, look nicer once i got a new frame and wheels.. talking of which i'm wondering if anyone runs a profile on a mod, whats it like and is it worth £100 more than an eno freewheel?
  11. Maybe, been having some crap weather, i will next summer...i have rugby on most nights so by the time i get back its dark Still go riding but you can't shoot anything in the dark.
  12. I bought a Met one in brighton the other day and i've already put it to use, My back brake slipped out when doing a drop gap and i fell straight on my head, even though it still hurt my head at least i didn't have my brains all over the floor... I think i paid about £27 for that and it's excellent, as i said in the other helmet thread it is very light weight and doesn't move around you head like the piss pot ones do.
  13. haha yeah, sorry i forgot to mention there terrible performance in the wet, although i don't often ride in the wet as it mucks everything up on my bike:P
  14. Some more info. Frinton has quite a few spots which is quite surprising for such a small town, theres the three set by the church(long steps) which I constantly use to practice hops and balancing on steps, theres a loading bay ledge which is where i learnt how to hop up onto ledges without using a pedal, then theres the sea front, anybody who has rode in Frinton would know that the sea front is full of little ledges, walls, and a couple of stair sets. I have been riding since July and I have had 3 bikes since then. One 2002 t-mag which i cracked, then i bought a 2005 t-mag which i got bored of. My current bike is an 04 zoo! python long which has echo lite forks, onza carbon bars, try-all stem, fsa headset with needle bearings, monty rims with monty titanium spokes and gold nipples, front and rear magura's, the back has a hope braided hose, monty square taper cranks (i really like them, i don't know why so many people have accused them of being rubbish), dmr v8's with screwed in pins and creepy crawlers. I'm always open to suggestions in my riding and like to ask advice on my techniques.
  15. YEAH! what i'm running at the moment on the rear. Sounds excellent (well if you like the squeek) and the hold is amazing once i got my brake set upright. Although my grind is now worn down compared to when I first got the plaz pads with my grind they still hold well. I would recommend the rock blue pads though as they have got more hold in my opinion. I am now thinking about some koxx bloxx browns, which i was told were excellent on a medium sharp grind. I will report back when i get some. Joe Edit!, forgot to mention the wear life is pretty good too.
  16. No problem, i'll give him a holla when he next comes online.
  17. Well I'm buying an v!z st bb of tarty bikes tonight and I'm going to take my old one out, but when i came to try and remove the crank arm from the freewheel it won't budge. Any help appreciated since i haven't fitted one before.
  18. I see lol. Hmm anybody got any tips on how to get my crank away from the freewheel? I was trying to get it off to clean around that area and the freewheel itself. Also I'm going to buy a new square taper bb tonight, anyone got any suggestions?
  19. Although regarding my earlier statement the skate style helmet does give you more lower back head protection.
