Had a bit of a problem earlier with my brothers car regarding the NS rear brake. The car is a Mondeo ST220 and we was going along about 70 when there was juddering it felt like bad wheel wobble but alot worse and noiser so we pulled over. Got out the car walked round and there was a little bit of smoke coming from the brake, there was no excessive braking or anything before hand so the caliper must be stuck/sticking. Anyway you could feel the heat the alloy was redicoulsly hot as was the disc obviously, let it cool down for a bit then drove off about half a mile it done it again so we stopped in tescos, once again it was terribly hot and there was tons of brake dust, jacked the car up and couldnt even turn the wheel compared to the other side which was fine. Left it again for a while then drove home slowly to try and reduce the heat, there was no squealing or any noise from it just lots and lots of heat. Going to take the wheel off tomorrow in the day and check it out but am I right in guessing its going to be something to be with worn pads and the caliper piston pressing out more than usual and that also being worn making it get stuck?

Okay I might go take a look at a few in a shop and get a free for them, think thats best! Might try and fix my sidewinder, its not too bad but the rudder twitches badly intermittently any idea what it could be?, its rather annoying when your on a t/o roll and all of a sudden it veers one way or youre on approach stabilised and it throws you out especially in crosswinds! Ive never really used many of the buttons on my stick, I have the trigger as a brake and the hat to look around, one button to switch views, and the two other main buttons for positive and negative trim as they need to be quick to hand. I've seen the head tracking but i'm not sure whether Id like it! Im happy just a stick and throttle at the moment, I fancy some rudder pedals too actually. I nearly got a yoke a while ago but decided against it.

Is that with cheaper sticks too? I cant afford a £300 odd one but say for £85ish is it gonna feel cheap or actually decent? Im such a noob at this compared to my flying skills

I dont understand sticks that arent ff, I need to feel a few I think. I cant imagine them feeling nice to use as they just like spring back dont they?

Whats the HOTAS like? Because in real a/c the stick hardly moves and its the force on the stick, is it the same with that?

Looking at getting a new joystick with force feedback because my current sidewinder 2's z axis is playing up which means it keeps randomly flicking the rudder out when I'm playing flight sim which is rather annoying. Anyone use a good one that they can recommend? <£85 aswell!

Yeah that'll be fine, there's no tracking marks on the opposite side so they can't work out the speed from using and speed and distance equations. Afaik you have to go about 55+ to set it off the opposite way? Anyway there's no tracks on the non measuring side so you'll be fine Matt
