  1. Hello Fleth, put your MSN address on your profile so i can add you. I live in Brighton too and we can go out some time with some others. You say your comp material eh? hehe, cheers Sonny
  2. Hey, i have pretty standard alan keys and there all getting crushed at then ends due to poorness. My mate has proper one's where you actually have a handle, as think as a screwdriver and you simply pick the right size alan and stick it in the top. What one's do use and if anyone knows of good one's like this, please post a link if possible. Cheers, Sonny
  3. Here's a guide on hot to bleed your Magura HS33 hydrolic brakes:- Losen the TPA all of the way off. Move the whole lever up so that it's pointing forwards instead of down. Fill a syringe with water or oil, it's your choice but I like water better because it gives a better feel to the lever. Take the bleed bolt off of the slave cylinder. Use one of the clear tubes shown up there in the first picture and screw it into the bleed hole but make sure that the tube is full up with water before you screw it on. I find it easier to put the syringe on the pipe and fill the pipe with the syringe. Undo the little grub screw on the lever body pictured below; Take the other clear tube and screw it into that hole. Ask someone if they can hold an old butter tub or something under the plastic pipe coming from the lever otherwise you'll get oil all over your rim/rotor. Now that's all done up nice and tight pump the syringe until most of the fluid from it is gone. (Remember to go from the slaves to the lever!) Now look at the tube coming out of the lever, if it has air in you need to do that again. (When you take the syringe off of the pipe remember to get someone to put their finger over the other end. ) When no more air comes out of the pipe then it's finished. Take the pipe off of the lever and put the grub screw back in but remember when you're taking the pipe off of the lever remember to leave the syringe on the pipe coming from the slave. Now take the pipe off of the slave and put the bleed bolt back in. [edit] Bleeding Maguras in a bucket or a bath Fill the bucket or the bath full of water. Take the brake off of your bike and put it in the bucket/bath. Undo both bleed bolts, the one on the lever and the one on the slave. (Underwater) The method is tricky at first, but once you have the rhythm, it will take a minute at maximum. Underwater: hold your finger over the hole on the slave cylinder (remember, when you have your finger on the hole, make sure it is tight and sealed against the hole, other wise it will take longer to bleed and may effect performance), press the lever all the way down, take your finger off of the hole and release the lever fully, repeat until you no longer see any air coming out. Do up both of the bleed bolts. (Again, underwater) Take the brake out and it should be air free. Hope i helpd, Sonny
  4. Have a look at this topic i just made, may help you! Starter Bikes
  5. Starter Bikes, i have recently joined and already i have seen many people who are starting trials like me, asking for advice on first bikes. So i decided to do have create a guide and find a few first hand bikes from £ to £849 which will hopefully give newbies a helping hand. All prices are taken from sites as found and may not be the most cheapest, have a look around and you could find cheaper, try Froogle. Mod/20" Bikes - Price ascending: Shogun Gimp 2007 £200 Onza T-Vee 2007 £299 Onza T-Bird 2007 £349 Monty 219 Alp £375 Monty 205 Pr £384 Onza T-Pro 2007 £399 ZHI ZM2B £450 Koxx Djinn £449 Monty 219 Magura £516 Onza T-Comp 2007 £549 Koxx Wasp £845 Echo Lite £849 Stock/26" Bikes - Price ascending: Phase 1.3 £299 Onza T-Rex Spec1 £499 Phase 1.2 £499 Onza T-Rex Spec2 £699 Phase 1.1 £699 If you see something your interested in please look it up in google and good luck finding your first bike! Also there may be other bikes that i have missed but its time for me to go now folks. Cheers, Sonny
  6. Wow looks lush, white and orange go well. I just Googled it and couldn't find anywhere that sell it. I'm may be interested in buying just wondering the price. If any knows that would be helpful . Thanks, Sonny
  7. Cons: Your knowledge of parts, prices and brands may not be the best at the moment. Also, as your starting out like me, you may damage your beloved bike that you have been building up for weeks quite badly. Money wise, well it can either be cheaper or more expensive its entirely up to you. Pros: Buying a bike from a shop, they tend to come with cheap components unless your willing to pay large sums of money. Your getting specifically what you want on your bike, down to the smallest nut or bolt. Your bike will always be unique and different to others unless of course someone copy's you. Personally i would not build up my first bike, buy a cheap bike that you can trash around and not worry about. Also if worse comes to worse and you hate pedal trials, then you can chuck your bike out the window and stick to motocross. Hope i've helped, Sonny
  8. Hello, i am currently a beginner at trials as well. I have discovered a few sites that may be helpful to you: www.cleanbikes.co.uk www.selectbikes.com www.tartybikes.co.uk www.trialsman.co.uk www.supercycles.co.uk www.vizbikes.co.uk www.heatsinkbikes.com www.trialfutur.net You may want a stock because of your height but i prefer mod. A stock brand new in your price range, the only ones i can think of is MAD Phase 1.3, 1.2 and 1.3. There are other Mods in your price range first hand again like Shogun Gimp, (I own one) or a Onza T-VEE. Another stock i just thought of is saracen flea's, theres a range of them but there not very good. Also saracen mad 2 six. Hope i've helped! Sonny
  9. Haha, trials is equally knackering aswell seeing as there is no seat lol. The amount of times i've heard "wheres your seat"... It's SO annoying. And then they go on about how can you ride that and how come that back tyre is so thick... I am struggling with single speed at the moment. Going from many gears to none is very knackering but the gear ratio for trials is perfect. Only wish i could master rear tyre hopping now so i can do more. A quick question, what happens if you get sponsered, i gather you have to advertise the company by stickers or jersey but what to you get from them? Cheers Sonny
  10. Hello. Just a quick hello as i have recently just joined. My name is Sonny, i'm 15 and i live in brighton . I just discovered trials over the summer and can currently do 4-6 rear wheel hops, getting there! I ride a Shogun Gimp which i bought of the internet for £199.99. I am happy with it as it will do me as a starting bike. I also MTB aswell which is getting a little boring, reason for starting trials. Anyone else have an XC bike if so what is it and a picture if possible. Thanks! Sonny
