hi, i'd say try-alls are the best but they last 2 minutes (i tried a set). theres nothing wrong with creepy crawlers at half the price which a lot of pros use... if your competing like me i keep a set of new ( but worn in) tyres for that day and put my other set of crawlers back on after the trial. I wouldn't use try-alls unless u were sponsered to be honest. hope this has helped as i had the same problem last year as for cranks my trialtech 1s are superb nuff said lol Nick

hiyya, keeping it simple there is an axle running through the bike (bottom bracket/BB) which the the crank arms fit onto. The crank arms are fastened to the bottom bracket by 2 bolts ( 1 on either side ). Have a go at fastening these mate... if need be it is best to replace the the arms and the BB ( not just a new BB vice versa ) and tighten 2-3 times a week. P.S the clicking could be anything from a snapped frame to dirt in the BB Hope this helps you abit Nick

shorter cranks give you abit more balance as you are closer together i think. longer cranks are better if your wanting more leverage . If your running 165mm i'd keep to that because it is what you are used to. My mate changed his cranks by 5mm and it took him about a week to get used to. Thats not along time but it is in terms of getting used to a component. Nick
