  1. I would recommend this http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...p;category_id=2 I have heard only good comments about this bottom bracket and Truvativ it's a brand that I would trust with the eyes closed... It's also cheap... Buy this if you don't find anything better...
  2. My parents are 100% against trials riding... They say they are too dangerous and that's not a sport but only tricks to attract people's eyes... They always ruin my dreams of becoming an experienced rider like many of you and participate in riding events...and they always say that they would be happy if I didn't ride and go play basketball or something like that... They haven't give me my new pedals yet (that I bought 1 month ago)... I hate that...I have noone to support me and I keep riding because I like trials too much...(and everything that has to do with bikes)
  3. Thanks Adam!!! ...I wish I lived in UK...nice weather for riding and a great number of trials riders to advice you or show you how to get better... and competitions...and Tartybikes only a small distance from your home
  4. Thanks!!! Yeah it's really hot here...I am used to go out at 16.00 for riding in winter but now I must go out at 19.30 because of the hot weather... The pictures (these taken at night) are taken around 23.00 - 00.00 (midnight!!!) I don't know why but I ride better when the weather is not so hot...The sun and the raised temperature takes your energy within minutes What time do you usually go to ride there??? And yes this place in the photos are a nice place to ride...but only for my level... A more experienced rider would be bored because the lines and obstacles would be too easy for him to be cleaned. There are a few good places to ride here through...most for urban riders.
  5. Hello everyone... Here are some pics of me riding, taken from a friend. I'm still a beginner and these are my first photos so don't expect to see big moves or huge drops Comments welcome
  6. I'm so sorry for you...R.I.P Alex

Nice video!Nice to know that there are trials riders so close to me (I'm from Greece!)
  8. thanks for the information. My brake don't slip when I land on the rear wheel from a gap or curb... I witnessed that it slips only if I make a fairly long jump from a pedalkick and then land the bike almost horizontial.I don't know if the brake was supposed to lock in this situation because the momentum created from the move is fairly big. As for the disk brakes...My opinion is that a dual disk would have 100% lock but it would be heavier than a V or Magura Setup... It's very interesting to see a trials bike with dual disk (I haven't seen one yet) but that means that you must have the proper frame too...
  9. Hello everybody. I'm using Magura HS33 at the rear with a smooth rim and Adamant Pads. But when I use the brake, it doesn't make the common screaching sound... The Wheel stops but I don't know if the max stopping power is achieved (because I know that the brake must make some noise) Maybe I haven't set up the magura???
  10. It seems to be a nice game... But all the trials games are with motorcycles... Is there any with a trials bicycle?
  11. Nice video... I'm very touched... R.I.P man
  12. I haven't done it until now but I haven't tried a lot... You can find a slow motion video here http://www.trashzen.com/animations/anstatichop2a.php and the move explained here http://www.trashzen.com/static-hop-wheel-transfer.php Hope this helps...
  13. I can get a little more than 180 but never managed to make a 360 spin. I really want to learn sidehopping high but I never get it right no matter how good and far I know to lurch I know it's the same move as the lurch/pedalkick forwards but I still can't jump to the side...
  14. It really frustrates me when one of my parts is broken or damaged and I can't ride... But I have noone to compete with because I'm the only in my city that rides trials...I'm thinking many times that I am scrap and all these but I simply can't stop. It's like a virus that makes you keep riding and never stop... Just try to avoid getting frustrated by thinking that you have made a progress and you will bw better the next time you will ride... This will make you to ride better, have a smaller number of accidents and it's also good for your health...
  15. I just changed mine to 22-18 to try it and maybe keep it if I like it more from the previus 22-20 Now I think I am closer to the classic 18-15 of many bikes (such as ZOO Pitbull,Adamant A1 and the GU bikes)
  16. I use them about 2 months. They seem good to me but I'm not a so experienced rider so I don't attempt big moves that create a lot of momentum that must be absorbed by the brakes. For my they are just perfect, never slipped and sound good.
  17. Hello. I'm trying to replace my rear spocket but my lockring seems to not ''unlock''.It doesn't move at all...I tryied many times. Does it need so much strengh to remove it?The last time I did it was really easy... Please tell me if there is any way to make the job easier...
  18. I think that Maxxis tyres are what you want. Both Hi Roller and Minion (Dual Ply) last for a long time of period and the Minion is olny 8gr heavier from the hi roller.Running them with a downhill tube will increse their resistance at puntures... Buy on of them they are good tyres
  19. Thanks!!!I like very much the ratio I use now (22-20).I just wanted what the percentage of other riders use...(because some people find 18-16 very light)
  20. ok I'll try it thanks
  21. After a good day of riding,I fell off the bike and now my doctor says that I mustn't ride for a month... I know exactly what you mean.Actually the worst things happens during the best days... Maybe it's bad luck... Or maybe after a good day of riding you try things that you would't if you was riding worse...
  22. Hello. I would like to know what combinations of gear do you use when you ride trials... I personaly use a 22 tooth front chainring and a 20 tooth spocket on the back...I have also a 18 tooth trialtech spocket that I haven't used yet. If anyone knows please inform me about how can I calculate the gear ratio and compare with other ratios (for example is my ratio 22-20 close to the classic 18-16?)
  23. Yes.This moment I write this... Some days before I tryied to gap some stairs.I had done it write million of times but something went wrong.I fell and hit my A*S. The hit was so bad that dead blood gathered under my skin (sorry I don't know much medical words in english,I think you understand) and the doctors had to make 2 big cuts (to my skin) to remove the dead blood. Now I must not ride for at least a month. Not so bad as your friend though... I hope he will recover soon and be allright. Do you know many people that have dyied while riding trials?
