Ive got a Maggy with a swollen piston. Going to get daddy to have a go at making stainless ones

Are the 2009's the Kamel's or are they still PR's and TI's?
-
Check the pads for wear, it could be because they're down to the metal.
-
Nope, I spoke to his dad and he was a really nice guy, the kid was pretty damn good aswell for his age. I remember his dad saying that they got the bike through a guy called Malcom so I'm guessing its this Malcom Rathmell who sponsors Charlie Rolls.

Yeah I was pretty close to them but i only spotted the rear hub at the last minute and I knew it was a Monty FFW because of the red ring. It was just like this one but the rear hub was in red with the normal hope etching. http://www.tribalzin...d-his-Monty-207 I think that kid was there aswell on a gas gas :L

Me and old man Muel were up at Hawksnest today on the motorbikes and there were a few kids on trials bike there. One lad was on a dual disc Monty 207, it had Hope Tech Trial brakes... In red! It also had Hope hubs on it, pretty sure the front was a Pro 2 but the rear was something special, it was fixed because it had a Monty FFW. Has anyone got any ideas what it could be? Cheers Wilf

Nearly, yes get a smaller sprocket and put that on but use two chain whips, one on the smaller sprocket so you can hold the freehub body steady and then the other on the stuck sprocket but the opposite way. Its a bit of a fag to get them both on at the same time but it works a treat if you dont want to damage any sprockets.

Got a set of Lite's on my wall that I might try, steerer is pretty short though, what have you got?
-
Not by much, they're not as tall as those Smart Guys in had on my first one lol
-
They're not that much taller than say Lite's but the bar and stem are pretty low so it helps bring the front end up.
-
Not sure, the short is 985mm isn't it? I'll try and measure it Lol yeah, the outer cage was broken when I got it and then I broke the inner cage. Got V12's on it now.
-
Oh lol no, I never remember him being called big daft John? You should come to Farmer Johns when they next have a race on, get some funny crashes.
-
As a temporary measure you could maybe use very thin washers to shim it over?
-
They're hope wheels, carbon aswell! Hope posted the video on their facebook page saying "Ashton testing our Carbon wheels to the extreme"
-
Yeah that would be awesome, would really finish Johns off, they've had some pretty big named there over the past at the downhill comps.

£100?! where from? That looks like a bargain mate

Well that was shit, bled the brake following Revolver's guide (big thanks Revolver) started to put it on the bike and it was proving to be a bitch because I'm using a 4 bolt booster and the oval holes aren't big enough so I could hardly move the bolts side to side or anything to get them in to the frame. Once I finally got them all in and got it all square, started to tighten them all up and one of them striped. Another trip to Daddy's work's me thinks.
-
Lol, it was a small length, enough to do about two crossovers, glad I found it because I bought some hope stuff to do my Hope M4 but a mate sorted me out a braided one so I tried using that for the crossover but it just crushed every time i tried to hammer the barb in, its a different sort of construction.

My Evil's my baby, its pretty much perfect now apart from a few little things in the colour scheme. It looks a bit better in person but yeah, the colour isn't too great haha. Its needs quite a lot of work doing to it and money spending on it Plan is to get the brakes back on soon, ive got the rear all back together just got to bleed it up. Yeah I found some of Sam's old stuff in the shed hopefully get it bled up today Wilf

Please Bring Back The Old Validation System!
wilf replied to Blake's topic in Trials-Forum News, Updates & Suggestions
10,000 people unvalidated but about 9000 of them have never posted anything!, I was searching for a guys profile today and the amount of profiles I went through with 0 posts was unreal. -
Hello all. After a few years break I'm back in to riding! I used to have a T-Lite which I owned from new, ever since I sold it I wanted another one so when one popped up on eBay I had to have it! I started riding again a little more than a year ago with a bit of BMX and then Dirt Jumping and Trail riding. Here's a few pictures of my bikes. T-Lite as it is now, it does have brakes but I split the rear crossover on the day I got it so I figured I would try brakeless for a while. A few pictures of my Evil Faction and Orange Patriot I hope this all works, I've never uploaded pictures before! Cheers Wilf

Maybe try some different pads? Have a look in the pad review thread to see what people recommend for smooth rims as I have no idea :L
