  1. I was just looking through the 'Brake Spares' on TartyBikes and came apon this:- Monty Brake Spray Now I have two mods, one with a light grind (on the rear) and one with a smooth rim (on the rear). Not that my brakes are slipping, but would this do any of my bikes any favours with the braking? Please comment, cai
  2. Perhaps the Czar Freetrials 08? Click Here But maybe its still to low, long and costly for what your looking for. cai

    Bar Question

In my experience i've found 'risers' and 'low-rise' handlebars (such as the zoo riser bar, and the echo low-rise bar) much more comfortable to ride with than flat bars. cai
  4. I don't know 'whats wrong' with the way you doing that, i do on the other hand know what you mean. when i was learning to 'pedal up' i was never happy with this one wall i was getting up, i could do it fine, it just felt a tad weird. So i set off doing higher stuff (and achieved), and when i went back to this wall it felt perfect. Not sure if i've helped atall, but just keep at it and you'll get it soon! cai
  5. I'd go for a 20". Don't let your height put you off, i'm also tall at 6ft and 1", and 20" is no problem at all. BMX's are completely different geometys and lenghts to trials bikes, meaning the feel nothing alike! here are some other pros and cons of 20" and 26" - Mod Vs Stock What bike have you been looking at? i started on the 07 onza t-comp (a 20" bike), its a great bike to learn on. cai
  6. i completely agree with that
  7. Yes, all the VP's on Tartybikes are the same. They grip well, are relatively light and are cheap! << winning combonation! VP's are the ones for you, just remember the bearings in them aren't that great. cai
  8. As 'onza-t-pro' pointed out there is Trials Magazine, which comes out once every 2 months. Found Here But its barely worth getting, down to the fact theres only a page or two of bike trials in there, the rest is all motor trials. Personaly i would just get MBUK. Cai
  9. I ride a t-comp 07, its alright like, u just got to get a decent hub for it and lighter forks to be honest. but yeh its the t-pro but with drilled rims, front and back maggies, creepy crawlers, tensile mounts pads and freewheel. i'd get the t-comp because all of the above are a must have really! especially when adding all of ^^that^^ to a t-pro would cost you £600+ i would just wait and see what 08 brings really! hope i helped.
  10. I'm looking for a trials lid, and was thinking a try-all one, ive seen them on there website http://www.try-all.com/index.php?lg=en_EN&...;id=&media= but cant find a site that sales them! does any one know if there good, and where there sold? or maybe theres a better trials lid, please coment. cheers , cai
  11. hey, ive got a light grind on my echo 07 rim (20") n ive been through a few pads: citrus, rimjams, but my fav are the magura brown pads - there just awsome!
  12. SH*T! howd you do that? n how many stiches?
  13. sounds decent matt, apart from the peeling of the threads lol, i think i'll go with that! thanks for the help so far guys. sorry mate, ain't intrested.
  14. 108 try all engagment points sound fun, but i started trials 7 months ago with a tensile and still nothing ever gone wrong!
  15. i'd get a short czar personally, or just wait n see what 08 brings.
  16. 20" or 26"?, what are riding atm?, and what do you want different geometry and lenghth wise? ^^then i can help^^
  17. oz, his was stunning! thanks for all your help guys.
  18. hi, im building a 20" bike at the moment, and im looking for a front v. what combo of lever, wire, and brake would be the best for about £40 (for trials use, oviously ) thanks cai
  19. guys me n ozzy guna do that now, besides christmas is soon and that short czar looks smart as f**k! thanks for all your help! but like someone said its only a t-pro at the end of the day, lol
  20. which would be slitly higher 18:15 or 18:16? because i'll go with that 1!
  21. i ride mod at the moment (18:12) but in the near future im thinking of getting 1 of those new deng 26" frames with 116mm instead of 135mm i love the gear ratio on my mod, what would be the same feel on 26" i was maybe thinking 18:16/15? by the way i want to run a front free wheel. thanks, cai
  22. since the M.A.D logo is red white and blue, -you've got a red frame -front blue rim, white tape -rear white rim, blue tape -white simatra bar, 1 blue grip, 1 red grip -white pedals, maybe v12's with blue pins -blue bash ring -blue booster that would look sweet! but would be quite pricy!
  23. thanks guys i'll ask bierspool (the good local bike shop) if they can re-tap / helicoil / put in insert soon. btw which 1 would be stronger? if they cant i guess its super super super glue, and hope that holds out till christmas!!! thanks 4 comments so far guys!
  24. going against your question here, why not wait and see what 08 brings?? but if your definatly gettin forks for christmas, i'd get the gu's! sayin that though i ride with zona zedds, they're lighter than echo lites and havent failed me yet!
  25. t-mag is heavier by far! especialy when that czar has echo lites on!!
