  1. Hey, I was just wandering if there are any comps held in Wales? And when do they take place? If there are none in Wales, which is the closest? Who's coming? Me and Ozzy were just wandering if many people are coming to Mertha? What colour route are you doing? Cheers, Cai (providing its still on )

    .,

I prefur to tilt my bars slighty more forward than 'vertical' as it makes my bike feel a little longer, and I find makes it comfy-er on the back wheel (this is with low-rise echo bars, and try-all replicas) I'm not a fan of 'big riser' bars, neither am I to keen the 'flat' bars.
  3. Sometimes the threads (on the bb, and in the shell itself) can bend slightly, so it feels like its never going to undo - when realy its just about to! Try adding a 5 foot scafolding pole over the end of your spanner, that should help
  4. Where does it say that? All I can see is that its same as the standard black version, just more exspensive and in white. Also it has 'Triangular tread pattern which is different to most tyres, ensuring good grip and mud shedding properties' - nothing about snow

    Vee Brakes

Light spring tension, and a couple drops of lube.
  6. I find that having a painted sidewall improves the braking loads. Well on the front anyway! I've had my front try-all wheel now for almost two months, I did run a vee but have now switched to maggie - my point is the colour is still perfect (apart from by the join, where the paint is chipped a little) Mine's in white if that makes a diiference.
  7. Unluckey, can you get replacement rachets? Or are they part of the hubshell?
  8. I much prefur the sound of the Rage Bars, especially in white :$
  9. Nice vid. I just realised (watching this) how much better stock looks on camera than a mod does - don't know why, they just do!
  10. Cut the steerer when you get your KO, or atleast buy a spacer! The forks are the only thing I actually like on that bike, the rest is abit meh!

    Gear Ratio

Well you obviously don't get the dividing bit then! You divide the front cog by the rear - and the higher the number you get, the higher the gear. So if you currently run 24/18 which equals 1.333 And you wich to run 18/12 which will equal to 1.5 You'll notice that 1.5 is higher than 1.333, so 18/12 will be a higher/harder gear than 24/18! Make sense now?
  12. I got bored, so I made some 'Pie Charts' to show the final results. Front Brakes: Rear Brakes: Thanks all that voted, I've found out what I wanted to know.

    Vee Brake Advice

Whap out the grinder and get some CRV's, like me EDIT: that'll be a beast!
  14. I made a topic over the 26" deng freehubs a while back now - and the general opinion was to stay away from them. But for the 20" version, Tarty Adam said they where much more reliable: But I never brought one so can't give an oppinion on them!
  15. Good little vid! Which brake pad would you say held and bit the most? (on the rear) Also how fast do they wear? Like which out of the two would last longer? cai
  16. Okay, so why do people still run 160's on the rear? But 180+ on the front (not all of you do, but quite alot do)?
  17. How come people use small/smaller discs on the rear? Exaple No.1 Do you just not need the extra power on the rear compared to the front? I thought alot more people would be more like this, Example No.2 Can someone please give me a reasonable expaination to this (I've never understood disk brakes fully).
  18. Yeh I thought it would be a good idea at the time, but people ended up just cocking it up! (I won't next time)
  19. I'll come up, providing either Ozzy, Nath or Andrew comes up to - I'm not going 1h 20mins odd on my own! EDIT: Just remebered there's no train to Porthcawl! Please don't say the nearest is Bridgend
  20. 'Other' was just a safety net incase I missed one, and you said yourself someone doesn't run a rear brake - so it's only fair to have the option there!
  21. Bike No.1 - very nice - the seat is abit w#nk though! Bike No.2 - possibly the worst looking Deng I've ever seen!
  22. Is there anywhere to get one brand new these days?
  23. Are you sure that you calibrated your skales properly? As thats no 102g!
  24. I think Muel's old Zona Zip was 1065, not sure what forks though.
