  1. Maxxis made a 19" creepy crawler for mods, so what would stop them from making a 24" creepy crawler? It could prove quite profitable for them too.. (I here by claim 10% of all profit made from the sale of 24" creepy's as it was my idea )
  2. Same, 360mm chainstays are a god send.
  3. Something trials specific needs to come out soon. It's the only thing holding 24" trials back. A 24" version of a Maxxis creepy crawler, or a Monty eagle claw, or a Try all Sticky/sticky lite, or any of the Continental tyres with the black chilli compound would do nicely
  4. Lubricating the piston, having a good bleed, and not over tightening the clamps also do that..
  5. Chain Reaction Cycles KMC Z610 HX 3/32" Chain = £9.99 Postage = Free Total = £9.99 Tarty Bikes KMC Z610 HX 3/32" Chain = £14.00 (reduced to £9.99 when using price match) Postage = £3.00 (Royal Mail 1st Class, the cheapest postage option available) Total = £17.00 (reduced to £12.99 when using price match) ..I fail to see how purchasing that chain from Tarty Bikes is the better option here, especially when the price at Chain Reaction Cycles drops down to £7.99 if you buy three or more of that chain
  6. These are a good shout too: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/chains/kmc_z510_18_inch/c7p11566.html I run them as they are £6 cheaper than the Z610 HX, and are nearly as good. Change them every 3-4 months, and fit them correctly (by either using the split link provided, or taking your time and lining everything up correctly when joining it back together) and you won't have an issue with snapping chains anymore
  7. The SD7 allows you to alter how much leverage you have at the lever, which is very useful. Where as you cant alter the FR5.
  8. Good idea Dave, looks well made.

I've been patiently waiting for a response to my comment for over 2 years, thanks for finally getting back to me x

Do you know which video it was Mark? I've just had a quick YouTube search but failed to find it..

    Magura 2014.

Some one uploaded a video of them testing the material they use against other materials (I think they showed carbon fibre, plastic and aluminium. But I can't fully remember), and Magura's material was very impressive and won hands down. It's far more complex than just using plastic..

    At a guess, 2014?
  15. Why not trim the non-drive side end cap down by 3mm, then run a snail cam on the drive side. It's would centralise the hub flanges a little so you don't have to dish the wheel over quite so much, and would enable the use of a proper tensioner..

It's interesting to see that the current HS11/33 is being kept on as the 2014 HS11. This surely means that the 2014 HS33 is a definite upgrade from the current model!
  17. As has Adam said, use the blue stuff. I try to tension my chain on the 'in-between part', this means that the chain is slightly too tight at the tight point but the chain isn't overly loose at the loose point. It works for me
  18. Just put some thread lock on the integrated tensioner bolts. Stops them from un-doing..
  19. No, just the standard 68mm intended Onza BB. And it's actually the 119mm model that I've been using, don't know where I got 118 from. Think I'll go for a 122.5mm/68mm Shimano UN-26 next time to gain a bit of extra clearance..
  20. 118mm just about worked with my MiddleBurns, the sprocket clears the frame fine but the end of the cranks are pretty close to the frame. Any thing longer than 118mm and you'll be fine
  21. I'm pretty sure that it was the angle of his bars that hurt his wrists, not there position. So having your contact points in the same place as the 'carthy style' but with a reasonable bar angle instead actually makes sense..
  22. I'd recommend a Der Baron (the proper sticky version, not that one in the link). I've been using a Rain King - which is the same tyre - for the best part of two years and it's still barely worn. It's also the grippiest tyre I've used for street and natural, and has the best sidewalls of any tyre I've used for trials. Good tyre
