  1. BB7's ***! So easy to 'fine tune'/allign, compared to using silly spacers and stuff. I had a Hope Mini Mono once, and it just had loads of problems It leaked where the Diafram on the lever body had coroded (sp?). Then one of the pistons actually poped out when it was put in my 'box of goodies' - which contaminated the pads. And they are hard to make the lever pull to where you like it. BB7's suffer from none of that
  2. Wow! :$ It even has a brake booster!
  3. Looks cool Do those 'missing sections' create any noticable flex, or lack in stiffness compared to before? And how much weight do you think you saved?
  4. Ring up 2580 on your mobile, then leave the phone by the music for 20secs. Then they text you the song name and stuff. Costs 50p though

    Another 24"

Sometimes it's because theres a build up of 'grey stuff' on your pads, which is actually a part of your rim that has worn away (even with smooth rims, as its obvious grinds wear away). And this can make your brake worse or silent. I prefur a 'no honk' brake. But if you want the sound back, try taking the pad off and simply scratching the gray sh*te off. Thers a good chance that hasn't happened to you, but you may aswel find out

Na, i'd defenatly change the back brake to something more reliable... and those cranks could do with changing, as they're really just Muscle Men. I'm not saying those parts are bad, it just that it doesn't make sense to me having top quality parts - like a ProII, and a 24UK frame. Then letting it down with a dodgy back break. Looks nice though
  7. £150 in all. So its £15 pounds more than an Echo CNC brake, and a fair bit better
  8. How do you come up with that Personally, I'd stick with vee But if you have to go hydro - why not trick out a Magura? Like buy a Maggie, then get a 'deng' lever, 'deng'/tensile mounts, any good booster, (if needed) a HEN/74Kingz TPA, CNC'd heatsink backings, good material to go in them, and maybe braided hosing. Now that would be like the best rim brake ever (apart from Avid Ultimates ) !!
  9. Were these guys 'professionals' ? The sports definatly come along way in 25 years!
  10. Mines exactly the same. I don't wear gloves, they get on my nerves! Try riding with them off?
  11. And Wales I'm quite dissapointed with this website, as said before - why release it when its barely done? Also some links to dealers of Onza would be nice. Like Tarty, T-UK and Rock and roll cycles (or whatever its called now)
  12. Tensiles are the best IMO EDIT:As for those Viz ones, they're the same as Monty ones. But they have been lubed with a real thick oil compared to Monty's - which means there almost silent, and I guess more prown to slipping
  13. Yeah, I'll take my vee up and try aload of bolts till it fits. Bending the springs suck btw! You don't have anyway near as much control to position the vee when you want to. Cheers guys
  14. Hey, I've lost the little bolts that allow you to fine tune the spring tension on my Avid SD7 and Ultimate Does anyone know where I can get some? Or does anyone know the size of the bolts (M?, ??mm long) so I could track some down. Please help, cai
  15. We could just stop calling them mods and stocks, so 24" wouldn't be left out. 20" 24" 26" sounds much better than: mod mid stock
  16. Mid? As its in the middle of a stock and a mod, almost

    Shyhop

It wasn't a fixie, he was free-rolling at one point
  18. Vee's are definatly less stressful than maggies I run SD7 lever, Clarkes Cable, Ultimate Arms, CNC'd Plaz (although you should get rock greens for a smooth), Onza V-daptors, RB booster (mounted under neath the 4-bolt mounts). EDIT: Mine used to rub on the tyre, but then I mounted the booster under-neath, and it raised the whole brake up about 1cm which means it no longer rubs - and its really stiff now
  19. Gay, my Echo 08 hub is perfect and so is Nathens GU hub. God knows what happened to yours

    Rim Switch

Well the spokes will only be 1mm too long, which will be fine. If worst comes to worst just add an extra cross to the spoke pattern (so if its 2x atm, lace it to 3x) but I can't see a need to do that over a 1mm difference in spoke length

    Vee Brakes

Have you tryed re-positioning the v-daptors? Move the bolt to the outside hole, so the canti mount is closer to the rim. Oncs the vee is fully set up again, the pad should now be able to adjust upwards more than before - and not be hanging half on/off the rim
  22. Looks really nice Any idea how much price of these frames? at the Try-all stem on an Onza full build.
  23. Don't bother with Onza forks in general mate. They're all about the same geo, and all ride bad (apart from the stock versions, they're pretty good ). Save up and get some Echo Lites or Urbans?
